I've rotated through a few advisors there and John is top notch...hands down the best advisor to work with. When there because my AC stop cooling One of the representatives helped me check in my car after i explained the problem I had. After half a day my car was there they called me and said there a leak form the ac and it will cost 1,500 to fix it I told them no thanks and just fill up gas I'll come to pick up my car. Since they filled up gas everything is working perfectly fine and it was only a gas issue no more then that ! It been already 2 months since I check the ac and still perfectly good. GM or Parts Manager please look into your staff handling phone calls in Parts Department. Called last week and asked for a touch up paint. Hispanic sounding gentleman assured me the part number for my touch up paint has changed and no one has it available till end of October. I believed it due to COVID, but decided to call Santa Monica BMW, they said I can pay for it and takes 3 business days to get. I couldn't wait the 3 days so I called Sherman Oaks BMW, guess what, they had it in stock, drove over and picked it up. Yes It was just a touch up paint but the parts guy sounded very dismissive and was so sure no one can get me that touch up paint now(Estoril Blue). So sad at how my multiple experiences have been. From my initial purchase and being told I was getting so many "dealer coupons" and savings, to recently when I was trying to get a more family friendly car I have felt confused each time I would visit the dealership. After my recent experience at RussellWestbrook Alfa Romeo I realize how bad I was disrespected by Bob Smith. I was told they would find me a car that fit my goals and to come in to drive it. Then I was told, after driving almost an hour to the dealership and spending over an hour with the sales manager while we did multiple other tasks, that the car was way out of my price range, "but, it will give you a sense of prestige..." What has me most upset was two FLAT OUT LIES. 1. "I just need you to bring your car in one more time since we have someone interested in it and you could sell it privately to get a little more money." I believed the sales manager, drove in, and again, the meeting was NOT only 15 minutes like he promised, but there was no private buyer! It was a bait and switch to get me in the dealership again and be fed more BS. LIE #2. "I can tell you the warranty reimbursement within $100". Then after waiting for days was told some amount that varied thousands of dollars. Again, the truth can be accurate and lies are all over the place. The other item I did not like was how the sales manager would never text me any numbers and said he could not tell me specifics over the phone. Then the classic effort happened on Saturday. "I'll need you to come in by tomorrow to honor these numbers before a special incentive I have for you expires". I was never clarified what that specific incentive was or provided any proof of it beyond his words. AlfaRomeo was honest from the beginning, shared everything when requested and didn't leave me feeling exhausted, confused, annoyed and upset. I'd say stay away from this dealership. Too sad, too. I've had 3 BMWs! I have three siblings with their cars. Bob Smith has already sold me a car so they should have had the best shot... that was blown by a poor, poor, poor experience. read more

Hands down the best BMW dealership experience that I have ever had which is a hugh statement considering that I have owned BMW's for the past 20 years and of course I have to go to different dealerships to get them serviced depending on the area that I am in. I had to take The Mr.'s X6 BMR in this morning for an oil change. I was greeted immediately and checked in. Once I parked Kurt came right out to introduce himself and check me into their system. While Kurt was checking me in, Chad came over to tell me about a couple of suggestions that he observed on the vehicle like replacing a worn tire and wheel alignment. He text messaged The Mr. and included me so that he can decide if he wanted to add these services. Carlos was my shuttle driver, I waited all of 5 min. before he came over to me in the waiting area to pick me up. Willie picked me up that afternoon from my house to take me back to the dealership. The entire experience was so smooth, easy and effortless. Again this is my best experience by far! I will definitely bring in my own BMR when I need service. read more

I'm done with Bob Smith BMW! I relocated 3 years ago from CO, where we leased several BMW and MB and the service was exceptional with MB dealer dropping off loaner cars at my home and returning my car to my driveway when service was complete. Over 30 miles one-way. BMW would provide 7 series loaners when our X5M needed service. I have never had a good experience at Bob Smith. From the attempts to up sell me on fuel system maintenance, to once providing a Honda as a loaner (nothing wrong with a Honda but my BMW is in for service after all), to a general lack of interest when I visited their showroom last month looking to purchase a new vehicle. I went next door and purchased a 2019 SQ5 from DCH where the purchase experience was fantastic. Today was the last straw as I looked to return my X5 off of lease and was told that do construction they were only accepting cars that were purchased there. I wished I had known that over the last three years they have been servicing my two 2016's as the end of this relationship would of happened much sooner. Good riddance!! read more

WARNING: Do NOT buy the additional maintenance contract they sell at Bob Smith unless you drive a lot of miles. I fell for the sales pitch based on the expectation that I would need brakes before the contract term was over. I don't drive enough so I never qualified. Basically, I paid $3,000 for two oil changes, an air filter and wiper blades over the course of 2.5 years. Pretty sure you can get that cheaper paying as needed or going somewhere else. The kicker was that on my last visit they said I needed rear differential service, but that wasn't covered. Lol. Another $350! read more

The devil is in the details here. I would give no stars if I could. This is my second lease through Bob Smith BMW, and I hate to admit that. After the first lease "bend over" from the finance department, I should have ran far away. But let's focus on this last lease deal at the end of April. My lease on my 2016 4-series was coming to a close. I worked with a Greg Huber to lease a new 330i, and he screwed me over like a brother in-law with a bad meth problem. I've been leasing cars since 2007. Every lease end, the wear and tear was rolled into the next lease. I expected the same here. I asked about the same and was reassured this would happen. Went through my lease end inspection and signed off on about $1400 worth of damage that I believed was valid and would be rolled into the latest lease. I was told by Greg this would happen. Come that Friday, I reviewed all the paper work and line items. I asked the financing gal (Karen?) if the lease was rolled up and also to add wheel/tire warranty and another warranty so I could basically walk away from this deal in 3 years. She fumbled a bit but pointed to a line item around the same price, but about $100 greater than the inspection report. I stared at it for a second, it read "BMW Wear and Tear Lease End." Sounded right to me. Signed all my papers, got my new car and was enjoying it for about 4 days. Low and behold, I check my mail and find an invoice for $1432 due to BMW of North America. I contacted Greg who basically blew me off. I e-mailed the sales department and a supposed sales manager as well as leaving several voicemails. I never heard back from anyone. So at this point, I am seeking legal representation. Thankfully, I work in information forensics for over 200 law firms around the greater LA area. I hope these salesmen have some bank saved up, because once the discovery portion of this litigation begins, Mr. Huber and other sales folks won't be on the floor scamming others, they'll be in a 10 hour long deposition for weeks if not more. If Bob Smith wants to right their egregious wrongdoing, please contact me. If not, I will not rest until the people that purposely tried to screw me over are living in a tent down by the LA river.
