Just picked up my car today (2 weeks in the shop)as it was getting repaired for a new passenger door just to find out my left side tail light is out, which it wasn't when I dropped the car off. Had to go back and have them take a look at it since the repair was done on my entire left side of the car. Car mechanic comes back saying the "light failed all the tests" and that it's an LED light so there's nothing they can do & that I will have to contact Honda and deal with warranty. WTF. Do not buy from here. You will have a head ache thru and thru. Bought a Camaro, paid the down payment. Had a pre approval from my bank. They came back a week later asking for more money. Okay understandable. Called my bank, they had no idea what Bob Stall was bugging me for. I go back and fourth with the dealership and bank to get the final numbers. Leslie, the finance rep I was working with asked me to provide proof of income and to put about $1400.00 more down I asked if I could email the documents to her, she said no and that I could come in the next day. She also said I wouldn't be able to pay over the phone. I was more than willing to pay the $1400.00, and email the docs. Mind you, when she called I was at the doctors office. She was very understanding and told me to swing by the very next day. The next day rolls around at 8:30 in the morning the finance manager (don't know his name, wears a cowboy hat- African American guy) calls me and asks when I plan on coming in. I tell him I will do it before they close he demands a time frame. He also asks me if I can email him the proof of income. At this point I'm annoyed at the constant miscommunication. He then tells me to send the info by email or to return his car. He also called me "young lady" which I found to be comical. (I'm not your friend and I'm not your child) I tell him he's acting like I stole the vehicle. I hang up on him and tell him I'm more than happy to return the car. They weren't doing me any favors, I bought it sticker price, and it was 2 years old. I can live without it. I have had 2 financed cars and have paid them off within the first 2 years each. During the application process, the dealership ran my credit even tho I had a pre-approval from my bank. There was a lot of confusion in regards to the down payment, the final price,and the loan amount. At the end, I returned the vehicle because the finance manager called me and talked to me like I was a criminal driving off of in a stolen vehicle. When I took the car back, I saw the same gentlemen and he told me I was untimely with the request. Mind you, this whole ordeal was 2 days long. He was rude, unprofessional and overall gave me a patronizing attitude. I am buying the same exact vehicle from Chevy in Kearny Mesa. Went to get an oil change, the air filter changed, and fuel guage looked at because it wasn't reading "full" when I'd fill up my tank at the gas station. Left my Chevy Blazer on 6/20 and wasn't able to pick up my vehicle due to the lack of communication from Damon. I was told that I would get my prognosis by 6/21. 6/21 came and went and nothing. So I called on Saturday, 6/22, to which I was told that the person on the phone had no clue what was going on with my vehicle and would give me a call back later to give me an update. Saturday, 6/22 came and went and no call-back. Sunday, they are closed, so at this point, I haven't had my vehicle for 4 days. Monday, 6/24, I called again, and AGAIN was told that the person on the phone had no idea what was going on, and they would call me back. By 3 pm on 6/24 I decided to show up in person to see why there were no updates and to request a loaner vehicle because I needed to get to and from work and could no longer borrow a vehicle from my husband. I show up, and the woman at the desk is very friendly and is doing everything she can to help me. However, Roy comes out to tell me that someone has dropped the ball and there was no communication and that they had to get has for my vehicle twice to make sure it was at "Full" to check my fuel guage. Then come to find out that they couldn't find anything wrong with my fuel guage. Then Roy told the lady at the desk that the oil change was completed on 6/24, to which the lady showed Roy the computer that didn't have any notes of completion. Roy walked away, and the woman asked me to wait so she could physically verify that the oil change was done. She came back a few moments later and told me it wasn't completed. 5 days, and nothing was done, except a supposed inspection on my fuel guage and filling my tank up. So I had to leave and pick it up later that day. Later, I get a phone call telling me my car is done with the oil change and to come pick up my Blazer. Turns out, they also DIDN'T replace the air filter. So, they very quickly replaced that by the time I got there before they closed. I'm very disappointed in Bob Stall in not only their customer service but their quality of work. The only saving grace was the woman who helped me to make sure I was getting taken care of after everything. All this and charge $400 for an oil change and a replacement of my air filter. read more

Downgrade based on a Service Department experience. I purchased my Chevy Traverse here two years ago and I love it. Even though I live in Escondido I still come here for service and for oil changes. It's an inconvenience, but I haven't had a reason to look elsewhere. That all changed when my Traverse alerted me that I was critically low on oil.. THIS is NOT the "oil life" warning that pops on every 5k miles that recommends and oil change. One of the worst alerts a driver can ever see is the low oil alert.. I change my synthetic oil every 5k per manufacturer spec here at Bob Stall. So this was very perplexing. I was hopeful this error was just a bad sensor but when I checked my engine oil it was indeed low. How could this be, my oil was last changed by this dealership 5k miles ago. My vehicle was also inspected two months ago here and no oil leaking was detected. I inspected myself and no oil leaks in the engine or on my garage floor.. I remembered on my last oil change that it didn't appear that any of the fluids were looked at / topped off and I just assumed they were lazy or maybe they don't do that with their oil changes at this dealership. I didn't even think that maybe they didn't change my oil either. Which is the likely reason why my oil was low. Obviously that means I went 10k miles without an oil change. Fortunately the oil is pure synthetic but this oversight, by a dealership, could have caused major engine damage. I had to put in some emergency synthetic oil while I tried to get a hold of the service department. I called the dealership and I was sent to a service tech's voice mail ( one that I've always used). They never called me back. So now I'm stuck having to get a hold of a service manager. At this point they just get a Yelp review because I doubt they'll take this seriously or take ownership. I don't need to get even more agitated if they say it's normal that Chevy Dealership oil can go from full to "alert" low after 5k.. Advice - Once your free oil changes are used up, go somewhere else.... read more

Bob Stall was quick to answer the call and get us in for service. When we were in AZ for a family trip, we had hoped to get our '21 Tahoe in for an oil change but due to air filter shortages, no dealership in the Phoenix area could get us in and out within a couple of days (they were estimating about a week turnaround, wth?!). When we were due to return to CA, our oil life percentage was down to just 1% remaining and we needed to get in ASAP. We called and got in for service 2 days later. We also had a check engine light that came on during the trip and a recall to address. Paul Correia was awesome. My husband had such a pleasant interaction with him and even when (probably annoyingly) checking in to find out the status of repair, Paul provided a timely response and good communication and vehicle was done the same day! During these COVID times, we all have to be realistic with timing and patient with service. Many dealerships are short-handed and parts are back ordered. Considering these circumstances, we believe our service was still great! The dealership is clean, our daughters loved playing by the fish tank, and this mama appreciated the triple shot of espresso to get through the crazy morning. (Only negative was that no loaners were available if we did need to have warranty service and they said no check engine light was on when it was when we brought it in, so not sure if it was actually addressed?? The absolute worse experience I have ever had at a dealership. I am not surprised with the terrible reviews about service. If my dealership, wasn't in Orange County, I would never have step foot in this place. First come, first serve on Saturdays, they took all the cars in the line before the person that would be making the call if they could take my car in or not came to talk to me. Guy stood there with a face, apparently I am supposed to read minds now, the guy doing the intake didn't tell him the issues with my car? Yet, he said he was going to talk to him and he would let me know if he would take my car in or not. Was not informed of this when I called to make an appointment, had I know that my car was not recommended for a walk-in I wouldn't have wasted an hour of my time waiting there. I have over ten years of customer service experience and this is by far the worse service and lack of professionalism I have ever experienced. I bought my car in November 2022. First complaint: I took a look at my statements and noticed inconsistencies on how they apply my payments towards interest. I called the dealership to talk to someone in finance. They sent me to voicemail and never called me back. I don't like that they don't care about you after you bought your car. Second complaint: my car broke down on a Friday and they said they wouldn't be able to work on it until Monday. No one offered a rental vehicle. I had to call later when someone pointed out to me I should have one. They told me to call back tomorrow because they were closed. I called back the next day and they said they only approve rentals after there is a diagnostic on the car. So now I have no car for the weekend. This car is brand new I shouldn't have to be having this inconvenience. I wish I never bought this car! read more

A little back story i buy a few cars every few years from AMGs, URUS, 355 Modena, Denali, and recently a 2025 AMG GT63 each of these cars with the exception of the GMC, is over $100k some are over $3300k. It started with dropping my 24 corvette for service, and the service advisor telling me that they got the ZR1 while expressing to her i wanted a new corvette. So I walked to the ZR1 corvette which I wanted to see, I asked the Sales guy and desk manager if I can see the inside they both said NO! Very abruptly, I was like even if I want to buy it? They both looked at me like no you can't.. I then pointed at my current 2024 Corvette and said that's mine then pointed at my 2024 Denali and said that's also mine do I not look like I can buy it? They finally opened it up I was still like whatever.. then maybe 2 minutes passed, salesman comes and tells me the General Manager doesn't want you to sit in it. I was in shock he stated he didn't want me to smell it up!!! I told him I have been to Ferrari dealership in San Diego and they don't just let me sit in them they tell me to turn them on!! Scheduled an oil change for my Corvette Z06 a week in advance. Was told it would take 2 hours so I waited at the dealership. After 2 hours and 45 minutes I found out that the delay was due to the dealership not having the needed oil filter. Not sure why it could not be ordered before my appointment. Brought my 2024 Chevy Tahoe in for 1st oil change, left the dealership, exited freeway with a huge plume of smoke from the back end. Went through the light again, more smoke from backend. Had Tahoe towed to dealership, come to find out oil changer OVERFILLED oil...or did he never drain old oil, put new in with it- Who knows...MANAGER never reached out to us. I am not stupid, you might have "fixed" the problem for now, but this could be an issue down the road. I was told it was documented in my file, with Bob Stall, and GM, Yet I have NO PAPERWORK to back that statement. This is above the service advisor, I would EXPECT A MANAGER TO STEP IN, but never did. I wanted to get my Jeep serviced I brought my own canister oil filter so that the wait won't take long I stand by the entrance to the service dept. Simon walks by and the service advisors just ignored me like I'm not there at all(invisible ). I give the advisors plenty of time (10) mins. To see if anyone wanted to help me but no. I called a couple of Chevy dealership to make my appt for my airbag recall . Bob Stall Chevrolet in La Mesa had a next day appointment. Shuttle was provided that's a huge plus . Luckily my location was right at 10 mile mark and the shuttle was able to come pick me up from home after the work had been performed . That was super, Tammy the shuttle driver was very nice . Glad to see mask where enforced while in the shuttle . The office was very clean and hand sanitizer was provided , mask are required if you are not vaccinated. Nice seating area outside but no shade what's so ever . No trash cans outside , that's a negative in my book . As there were cigarette buts in the bushes that my toddler was trying to get . That's a health and safety concern as we are in the middle of a pandemic . Rep was informative and straight to the point. I guess many of the Chevy models dashboards crack , the material isn't the best and I was immediately told that would not be replaced . Well I guess good to know . My service advisor Rose was horrible never received a call once about updates to my car, she did not update the service portal sending me notifications about the status of my repairs, and when I did get a hold of her she did not know what's going on. She was extremely unprofessional during calls. Once quoting "I don't know the status because the mechanic is giving me mean looks". Another time she told she had to go because other customers were there, overall leaving me feeling like my business as a customer was not valued. I had to go in on three separate occasions just to get a status update because she did not call me or return my calls. Overall extremely unsatisfied. Paid $2900 to get my car back, and the car is still broken.The technician Kenny was extremely helpful explaining everything however he did not do a thorough enough job considering it took over a month to diagnose the truck, with two initial diagnoses that were not the root cause. Overall if you have $20,000 to flush down a toilet while the service department jerks you around then I would recommend coming here, if you are on a budget do the repairs yourself or find a reputable mom and pop shop to complete your repairs. The best in people shows when something doesn't go quite right. I had a tire sensor replaced a few months ago but it failed last week.
