There was so much hype about this Boba drive-thru. Every time I shop in the lot next to it, I see a line of cars waiting as I exit the parking lot. Bring intrigued and finally saw there was a short line, we came her to give them a try. They used to have a walk in option, but the doors are locked and blocked, so sitting in your car idling is the only way. We ordered a milk tea brown sugar boba, 1/2 sweet and an Oreo with brown sugar boba, also 1/2 sweetened. Both drinks were descent, but the main ingredient, boba was very average. Our order didn't have the nice chew of fresh boba, nor did it have any flavor. I tried really hard to taste the brown sugar or any sweetness, but they just tasted like plain boba. I'm not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews but for me personally, there was no interaction besides handing payment over and receiving our drinks. There was no ambiance to experience, and our drinks were good, but nowhere near great. But that's just me, since so many people like to line up, wait in their cars as they slowly inch forward to the window to get their drinks. We love coming here for mango smoothies on hot days, especially wing able to drive thru and no have to get off!! We love the upbeat music and the owl art piece in the center where you order. The staff is really friendly if you don't like the drink they remake it for you. read more

We came because this place had such high reviews and we were unfortunately disappointed. It wasn't bad, I just don't know if it's worth another visit. The drive through option is cool and service was good. Strawberry mango green tea with boba : it was fine. The tea flavor was pretty mild and while the drink was good, I don't know if it really stuck out Hokkaido milk tea : this was also okay. I might prefer Sunright's Hokkaido more. Maybe I'm rating too much against the hype. Or maybe we didn't order the right thing? read more

My 2 star review is solely because the wait time was beyond long & unacceptable! I literally had to wait 30 mins today (1-20-25) for 1 drink since it was just me in my car. I debated if I should order popcorn chicken to try but as I realized how long it even took to get to the order here station I just ordered a drink. I waited so long that I was able to post things on instagram. Had I known the wait was ridiculously long I would have went to Sunmerry which was the next block over. The reason for not going to Sunmerry initially was because I did not want to get out of my vehicle. Well that was a big mistake as I would have saved time had I gone to Sunmerry. I will say the drink I ordered, peach green fruit tea was tasty. I would have given 4-5 stars had it not been for the very poor & extreme slowness of their drive thru. This place holds near and dear to my heart as they kept us sane and happy during the pandemic. They are one of the few drive-thru boba spots that is GOOD and with tasty snack options too. Quite honestly, I'm surprised there aren't more. I love their menu and have made my way around it fairly well. My current favorite order is their winter melon tea. Their tea selections are fantastic and I love that they offer gigantic tea options too. Why yes, I'd like a jug of boba tea please, thanks! Their snack options are superior too, and I love that they don't skimp on the quantity and quality. I'm a fan of Taiwanese popcorn chicken and theirs is fried to perfection. Just be careful when you ask for mild, it packs a punch. If you're like me and aren't exactly friends with spicy food, go with the non-spicy option. read more

The boba has gotten really hard! And it's sad for me to write this because I really like this spot. I always come here because the service is good and fast. It's the closest place to my house and I do like how it's open so late. However! I went twice in a week and both times, the Boba was inedible. This boba shop is the most consistent and the place we always head back to. The employees are always so nice and apologize for the wait even though we'll wait for these boba drinks any time. Quick, easy, not too sweet drinks. No fufu fancy drinks here. Menu is straight forward. ONLY DRIVE THRU. Hence the name "express." Even though there's a long line of cars sometimes we never had to wait more than 15 min. They also open late too until midnight which is a great late night dessert run. Hokkaido milk tea and the messy brown sugar are my favorites. Boba is fresh. If you want fruit, the strawberry yogurt blend is bomb. We've had their fried snacks also, I recommend their popcorn chicken. Don't waste your time going to any other boba place. I wanted to check out Boba Ave Express for a while, since it's rare to see a fast drive through boba store. Usually I would see a line of cars late at night with people trying to get their Boba fix. I got the chance to try them on Monday afternoon, there wasn't a line. Food: I got the kiwi grape jelly tea that's spring time limited addition drink. I didn't know what to expect of kiwi flavored but it was quite nice tangy with sweet flavor. Service : Boba came out quickly, and all you had to do was drive up to order, pay, and pick up out of your car window, which is very convenient. Ambiance: They had some outdoor seating next to the building, which was a small kitchen. I don't think I would use the seating, but having a drive-through Boba shop is great, and I think I'll come again sometime! read more

We stopped by on a weekday night because we were craving boba and saw this place had really good reviews. We ordered the strawberry mango green tea, Thai milk tea, popcorn chicken and French fries. The strawberry green tea was okay, it had pieces of mango and strawberry but both were bitter. The boba in both drinks was superb it wasn't hard like other places. Their boba itself is a good size and it is on the chewy side! Now for the food items we got both on the mild spice level and let me tell you for mild, the definitely had a kick! The biggest reason they do not get 4/5 stars is because their drive thru service takes an eternity. I understand they are busy, but why offer drive thru if it is going to take 30+ minutes. While you are waiting you get to see a pretty mural which makes it aesthetic, but they do need to work on making the drive thru faster! read more

In the past this place has been good but tonight it was awful. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea and it was overly sweet, like they had put double the amount of syrup they're supposed to. Also the Thai iced tea we got was in this paper cup instead of plastic, and when we asked why the drink was hot (because hot drinks usually come in these paper cups), they told us it was iced. When we drank the Thai iced tea it tasted weird like they probably made a hot drink by accident and decided to just put ice in it real quick. Also the paper cup is already started to get soft and mushy. Both drinks are awful tonight and we won't be going back. read more
