So many great refreshing beverages at 3CAT Handcrafted Beverage. My bestie introduced my daughter and me to 3CAT, and I just want more of it. I tried their Mango Sweet Dew drink, which is a smoothie with jasmine green tea, mango, coconut milk, house made milk, agar boba, and grapefruit. It was pretty and each sip was a bit different - some I got more of a jasmine green tea flavor, others more mango, and others more of coconut milk. Loved that kind of surprise. My daughter got one of their matcha drinks and she thought it was alright. It tasted a bit more milky to her, but otherwise was good. My friend got their yuzu berry smoothie (berry purée, yuzu tea, diced pear) on numerous occasions and mentioned it was a good non-dairy drink as most of their other drinks contain dairy. Clean interior and the order process and pick up was straight forward. Nice staff here as well. There are so many other drinks I'd love to try, so I'll try more when I'm in the area again. One of the employees working there that day was very accommodating and patient, too. Popular drinks here are the mochi series, avomango, and osmanthus. My go to at 3Catea can vary but you can't go wrong with any drink options. Personal favorites consist of Mochi Mango/Matcha, White Peach, and Osmanthus Oolong. Toppings are plentiful, personal favorite is the agar boba, always fresh and easy to sip. This shop is smaller than all the other 3Cat locations but for good reason, they keep it simple and quick. No tables around, more of a grab and go type shop. Highly recommend to order on Snackpass app to collect rewards and to fast track your order. I've tried their Mochi Mango, Mango Sweet Dew, and Mochi Barley Burst and I'd recommend all of them. I get 100% sweetness and it's the perfect level for me (less sweet compared to other boba shops). Their mango is always ripe and pairs well with the milky drinks. If you love barley flavor, their popping barley boba is really unique and so flavorful! Their mochi is very soft and slightly chewy, but may be a bit hard to suck up from the straw. There is only one kiosk inside to order at, so there may be a line. I do like that the kiosk has pictures of the drinks to get an idea prior to ordering. The shop is very small but clean, with a few seats inside and some tables outside. There's not that many options, but the competition is still pretty steep for the boba wars at the Santa Anita Mall and considering this is diagonally right across Cha Redefine, that's a tall order to take. Many 3CAT boba places are popping up all over SoCal and I hope not to the point of saturation. It's not my go to boba place at the mall, but I'd say it's a close second. If Cha is cooked, this is a good place to default to if I don't want to travel outside of the mall or if I forgot my Wushi gift card (happens all the time now). Sometimes there's a super long line outside of this one too, not sure because of some kind of deal or just the standard crowds or short staffing. Other than that, like every other 3CAT place, not bad. They have unique drinks here and there with interesting toppings like osmanthus tea jelly, barley popping boba, soybean mousse, and much more. If you don't like your drink, they'll remake it for you and if you truly want to avoid the crowds you can order online for pick up. My go tos here are the Biscoff Jasmine, Soybean Dragon Well, and Mochi Oreo. Always less ice and less sweet to no sugar (not recommended, but some of these are dessert drinks that off set it). read more

My favorite is the Avomango Sweet Dew, which I ordered regular sweet, and has the perfect balance of rich and creamy avocado sweetened by the tropical mangos. The jelly adds the right amount of texture this drink, which is a tad on the thick side. From the time of ordering to the time of pick up was between 15-20 minutes, which is pretty fast considering this place is always packed in the evening. 3CAT is always bustling but you can get generally find seats. I tried 3Cat when they first opened, last summer and thought their drinks were good. But I haven't gone back to them since until this past Saturday. I made an online order on my phone and ended up purchasing: Grape Cucumber ($6.95)- A new limited drink. I ordered this drink to be made with less sugar (no sugar level percentage was available to choose from). I was surprised to how much I really liked this drink. The cucumber and grape flavor went well together (natural grape flavor, not that artificial candy flavor). I also liked how it was creamy too because this drink was considered to be smoothie. Grape Jasmine ($6.25)- I ordered this for my husband to be made with less sugar and less ice. He actually did not like it. He said that the lime flavor was very over powering and all he could taste was the lime. +$0.36 (0.275 fee) --------------------------------- (Total= $13.56 after operation fee) I did not know that I was going to be charged an "operation fee" (as it is listed on my email receipt) when I made the order. I don't know if it would have been the same if there was a fee if ordered in store, at the kiosk (the first time I came, an employee took my order and don't recall an additional fee to my purchase total). It was nice that I was able to bypass the line to order and go straight over to the pick up area but I don't know if I would order ahead again if I was to come back. The employee who helped me with my pick up order was very nice. He also asked if I wanted a bag since I had two drinks. Because I said yes, he began to put one of those 2 recycle cup holders in a paper bag and then placed my drinks inside. The bag itself was very cute, with 3 cats on the bag. For those who are wondering, there really isn't any seating inside but outside there are some outdoor tables if you wish to sit and drink your beverage. But there are also some high top tables in the promenade if you are not able to find seating. but there also nothing wrong with walking around and browsing inside the mall with your beverage too. read more

If you don't finish and put in the fridge like me, the lime skin will make your drink bitter the next day. Jasmine milk tea is good if you like milk tea. Pretty basic but solid drink. I don't think I'm their target market, but I still wanted to try this place because it's so hyped. Their line was pretty long so we waited about 15 minutes before we could order. In the meantime, we looked at their menu online because we wanted descriptions of which drinks had caffeine and which ones didn't. When you're waiting in line, they only showcase their top drinks or seasonal options with no descriptions besides a picture. They only have 1 kiosk to take orders, so there's no one there to greet guests or answer questions. I got the Icy Peach with tea jelly (minimal sweetness) and it was like the equivalent of 100% sweet at another boba shop. I could only drink half and I filled the rest with tea the next day after I took it home. They include actual peaches at the bottom, which was nice though! My friend got the mango mochi and they first got her order incorrect (they added the cream top even though we requested to take it off & they forgot the boba). They remade her drink and their brown sugar boba was really hard! She tried my drink and asked if she could just get the icy peach like mine with crystal boba instead of the mango mochi. I would go back for the Avomango Sweet Dew, it was a hot day and so it was super refreshing. I give this place 4 stars for this drink alone. I order the drinks (0% sweet) bc I think most boba shop places have too sweet of a drink & their mango mochi and matcha mochi both taste great at 0%. When I went to the kiosk to order, the screen asked for a table number, but it didn't work when I tried a few random numbers. I asked a staff member for help, and the manager came from behind the curtain to reset the kiosk, but there was no acknowledgement or apology for the error. I still had questions about the drinks since it was my first time there. The young barista didn't seem very enthusiastic, but I asked for recommendations and he gave me some good ones, which I appreciated. The recommendations were great because both drinks were excellent! I would have given less stars for the lukewarm service, but the drinks were so good. I must give 3Cat 5 stars! The Mochi Mango was a smoothie with fresh mango, handmade rice mochi, whipping cream, and wafer crunch - my wife's favorite.
