I added Lychee Jelly and Sago for $0.75 each, bringing my total to $8.19 for a 16 oz drink. The tea was refreshing, light, and balanced. It wasn't overly sweet, so I could actually taste the tea instead of feeling like I was drowning in syrup. The lychee jelly added little bursts of sweetness, while the sago gave the drink a soft, chewy texture. Although the shop is primarily designed for to-go orders, it never feels rushed. Got Doordash since there's a promo - 45% off orders $12+! I'm so bummed to have to update my review from 5 stars to 2 stars. Although it was a great deal, one of my drinks was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha ($8.99) with less ice and half sugar. I'm used to their matcha being one of my favorites because they (used to) use high quality matcha. I'm pretty sure they changed their matcha because it doesn't have a strong matcha taste like before and tasted very bland. The strawberry jam was said to be homemade but honestly it was extremely sweet and tasted like strawberry puree. The Yifang Fruit Tea ($7.69) with quarter sugar and less ice was more enjoyable. Every other tea shop make sure they have adequate amount when they go on promotion for BOGO or any other promotion. This place opens at 11:00 a.m. and by noon they are not able to offer today's only promotion BOGO milk tea. Their excuses we run out of boba and we run out of milk tea!! That ...it's a fraud false advertisement. Other places like OneTea, Formosa, Molly have BOGO for a whole week and even at 8:00 p.m. it's still available. One thing for sure is that this place feels like we're transported to a cute little cafe somewhere in Taiwan. It's a nice little touch that they added to the interior because from the outside, you'd never expected this. A nice, warm, and welcoming cafe indeed! We ordered 3 drinks by using the kiosk. Brown Sugar Pearl Latte, Fresh Taro Green Tea Latte, and Winter Melon Tea. I had to say that I'm not fond of any of those drinks from this place. We also ordered dark chocolate egg waffles. The brown sugar pearl latte was pretty standard. The fresh taro green tea latte was my least favorite drink out of the 3 that we ordered. The taro tasted very diluted, not thick in consistency. The tea latte tasted pretty watered down too and I couldn't taste and smell the tea that much. With that said, the winter melon tea was pretty much the same and I felt like it's pretty a watered down version of a good winter melon tea. My kids liked it though, so that's that. I was really looking forward to having good egg waffles. They're shaped in cute little boba tea pieces. The taste was okay but the filling was very minimal. Yi Fang is our favorite drink place. This afternoon my daughter and I decided to celebrate the beginning of her summer vacation with Yi Fang drinks. I'm a connoisseur of boba, but this was something else entirely! The variety of flavors I've never before seen or heard of before was extraordinary. And then their signature Mango Pomelo Sago was out of this world good. It was creamy mango - almost like a very fine slushie of sorts - but instead of typical lychee jelly or boba, there were tiny slices of real fruit and some other gelatinous texture (seemed like tapioca) that was heavenly. In the same plaza as Au79, and I must say I was surprised when I found myself going here instead of AU! Yi Fang offers a wide variety of drinks and toppings to choose from, and most of their drinks are extremely well-crafted! My favorite so far over the past couple of times I've been is their mango sago milk tea. Definitely one of my faves during the hot summer. The inside is relatively small with minimal seating, but the shop is designed to be more of a quick stop to get boba with self-ordering tablets and a super cute wooden display that makes it feel like you are ordering from a tiny shop on the streets! The service has always been really good here. One time, they had forgotten to put any sweetness, and they remade my drink without any hesitation. Relatively little store with some benches for mainly sitting and waiting. It can feel a bit cramped when it gets busy. They have two self-order kiosks and you can order at the register. I've only ever used the self-order kiosk, so I can't say much about service but drinks come out at a good rate. If you order through kiosk and have a number down, they text when your orders are ready too, so if you're outside waiting, you won't miss your order. There's also a monitor that tracks the orders in progress and the ones that are ready. Got their Peach Tea with mountain tea at 75% level sweetness and normal ice. I think I could have also gone 50% sweetness and still be happy as the normal ice ratio wasn't a lot of ice to begin with. It's always a solid choice for me here, and the peach doesn't taste canned or bland at all. Perfectly sweet and refreshing! Overall, I find Yi Fang a great shop for fruit teas so far. I have yet to try other drinks, but maybe one day I'll be in the mood for milk teas and be able to review those too. Always consistent and not too pricey. One of the boba places I tried next to Menya Hanabi. This isn't a place to really sit down, it is a place to get your drink and go. There are two self serve touch screens where you can place your order, and it is nice that your name will show up on the screen to let you know approximately when your drink is ready. It seems this is a franchise so there are other places that serve the same, but this was my first experience and I think it is worth a try. I decided to give the waffle a try, my kid enjoyed it. The passion fruit drink I got was decent, but the seeds inside were quite hard. I like how modern the place is, but it seems to be a lot more pricier than some other places that I have been to in this city. I think my bill for 5-6 drinks and a snack was about $60. I believe I could have gone to another place and max would have been $40. Worth a try, if especially if you are eating in the plaza. Until next time ! read more

Whenever I don't feel like a milky drink and craving for a more refreshing iced cold fruit-based drink, this is the place to go. My favorite go-to is the yifang fruit tea, you cannot go wrong with it. I get it under sweet (25%) because the fruit itself already carries a sweetness. If I want a heavier drink, then I will go towards the Mango pomelo sago (fantastic). They currently have happy hour where all the drinks are 15% off, Monday to Friday from 3 to 6pm. This location has ample parking just a few feet away from the entrance. This is important to me, especially when you are trying to make a quick boba stop without having to circle for parking. My first impression of the interior was how cute, clean, and inviting it looked. I was greeted by very friendly staff member. When I informed her, I was there for the Treat O'Clock event she quickly explained the whole process. This was my first time participating in a Yelp event and it was such a neat experience and loved the Yelp straw cover! I received a complimentary Sesame milk tea with Boba and an apple pie wheel cake. Additionally, I ordered a taro milk tea, and taro wheel cake. I was glad that I was able to customize the sugar level of the drinks. Some of the highlights were how chewy and perfectly tender the Boba was. I love taro But not all locations use fresh pieces or paste and this place does! The wheel cakes were tender with a good chew texture and plenty of filling. This location is not near my home and honestly probably would not have tried it had it not been for the Yelp event. Another solid Yi Fang location located in the Vons/now closed Burlington Coat Factory/super food & business plaza. I've never had issues getting parking here (as I park at the abandoned Burlington Coat Factory lot). You can always order ahead for pick up or you can order in person or at one of their kiosks in shop. Staff is super friendly and helpful with their drink suggestions and if you have any questions. I also recommend following their social media as sometimes they have special deals for certain days/celebrations and do some local fundraising events too. Also what's unique is that this location has their pancakes (shaped like a cup of boba tea) and they can come with fillings such as custard, taro, or boba, I believe. We got the: 1) Yi Fang Fruit Tea (50% less sweet, less ice): -We also got this with agar boba. Added a nice chewy texture to the drink. -Comes with real slices of fruit, Very refreshing and not too tart. 2) Yakult Mountain Tea (50% less sweet, less ice): -One of my favorite drinks to get since I'm a big Yakult fan. The Yakult is already naturally sweet and so adjusting the sweetness makes this the perfect drink. Slightly sour due to the yogurt, but delicious and refreshing with a subtle taste of tea. -The bits of aloe also give a nice tropical twist as well. There's some limited seating inside if you're waiting for your drink, but despite the small space, I always love how YiFang decorates to look like a classic vendor stall. But sadly other than that it's freshly made, the cake itself is really bad. The batter was much too thick. There's barely any filling and you'd need to look really closely to find any fillings. The price is crazy expensive, basically robbery. I really wanted to like it. It would had been a great snack to go with any drinks, but sadly this didn't hit the spot. Before walking over to YGF Malatang, I saw Yi Fang and got excited. I immediately checked what time they close on Sunday night. They close at 8 PM. I knew I had to get the drinks first before dinner. Upon entry, it was quite bright and inviting. Love the simple setup! I saw 2 kiosks for ordering. Funny, one was taller than the other. I noticed the height is adjustable... nice feature! Of course I used the shorter one because I'm short LOL. You may also walk up to the counter to order as well. Tons of drink options. I already knew what I wanted. I called my both my daughters and asked them what they wanted. I got my favorite Mango Pomelo Sago (this is like a smoothie so no ice). My daughters wanted 1 Traditional Milk Tea and 1 Peach Green Tea both with oolong tea plus crystal boba and no ice. We prefer no ice because we don't want our drinks watered down later. Luckily, this place doesn't charge extra or take off an inch or two for no ice. Thank you! All 3 of our drinks were delicious. Yi Fang has not failed us yet. My eldest daughter commented that her peach drink tasted like real peach flavor as if she was drinking the real fruit. I didn't try it, but that's probably a good thing to get the real deal. They have an order monitoring screen to display all the orders so their customers know exactly where they are at in line. Great idea so people aren't walking up to the counter asking, Are my drinks ready yet? My wait time wasn't too bad as there was no one ahead of me. Staff was nice and pleasant. I think I am addicted to their iced green tea with boba. I have forgotten how much I love it until I got it recently at Yi Fang. Yi Fang is a Taiwanese Boba and Fruit Tea chain that recently opened an Arcadia location in the Burlington Coat Factory and Pavilion's shopping plaza. I am very happy that Yi Fang chose to open one here. Ever since I had their boba in Berkeley in 2019, I have been longing for an Yi Fang close by. Their boba is warm and chewy. If you don't want to wait, I recommend you order online first. There are happy hour promotions when the drinks are 15% when you order online. I haven't seen the promotions at the in store kiosk. They may be there too. The ambiance is clean and presents an old Taiwan vibe. There are no tables inside and only one bench to sit while you are waiting for your drinks So this is more of a grab and go place. Nice yi fang located next to menya hanabi in the vons plaza. Mango pomelo sago is always our favorite. The hubby says theirs was a little icier, the one on valley makes a better one (honestly could just be that one time). Taste delicious to me. When you walk in, they smell like egg/hk waffle. Ambiance/Decor: Ambiance is alright with some decorations. There's 2 self ordering kiosk and if you feel like having some human interactions, you can order with a live person. After ordering just keep an eye on their ticketing system kiosk to see when your drink is done. The window next to the register will slide open and your drinks/snacks will appear to be picked up. This shop is mainly a take it and go type of shop. There are some small wooden benches to sit on while you are waiting for your drink or you can wait out side. Service: Service is pretty good. Staffers are friendly and offered great suggestions on drinks and would inform on how long certain items will take to be ready to be picked up. Drink Of Choice: Don't really deviate much from my usual drink, winter melon tea. It's still relatively sweet so you can tell the staffer behind the register not to put any added sugar. Snack Of Choice: They recently came out with their Yi Fang pancake. Comes in a quantity of 5 and offers 3 flavors (dark chocolate, $6.49, original, $5.49, and red bean, $6.49). Wish you can mix and match different flavors, but sadly you can't. I've tried original and red bean and they were quite good. I would prefer the red bean (thought it would be in paste form, but it's actual whole red bean) over the original though. It's a bit pricey, but they make it up in their pancake design in a shape of a boba cup and has their name/brand on the front and back of them. First and last time at this location. I like how you can order at the screen and drinks came out very fast. They also have a screen letting you know the status. Why would it be my last visit you ask? Wow.. the male employee that worked here today was so rude.
