A very cool lounge! Service is pretty fast here for both boba and hookah. They have a good selection of flavors.
Solid late night drink :) My lil bro and I went here cause everything is closed after 11pm and we're craving boba. Surprisingly this place is still open. My bro and I were being cautious cause the ambiance looks like a Walking Dead episode at night and no one is around. We just went to this alley looking sliding door to order.. like something in a horror movie haha. We ordered in a kiosk and we didn't see our server til he handed our drink.. it's damn sketch but thrilling to say the least lol My bro and I ordered their regular boba milk tea in a cute bear container. Alright we're sold cause the boba is quite good. One of the best experiences that we had in a boba joint! Overall, hell yea I would go here again especially around 11pm.. shit is cool :)
Great shisha place, and they also sell amazing boba. I love getting Thai tea here; it's perfectly sweetened. This was my first time visiting the Rowland Heights location. I usually go to the one in Koreatown, but this location is great too. It's spacious and has plenty of free parking, unlike the Koreatown location, which is valet only. The staff here are very friendly.
I only came here for the boba after seeing the cute bear shaped cups that they came in. I didn't go into the hookah bar section so I can't provide any review on it, but based on the drinks alone, it was a little disappointing. The Thai tea was overly sweet and lacking the distinct Thai tea flavor, and the boba was a little hard. My friend got the passionfruit green tea and it was better and the right amount of sweetness. Even though the drinks weren't the greatest, at least I got a cute plastic cup out of it! It's located in a quiet alley of a plaza, so it can be a little hard to find. Service was quick and our drinks came out fast, and there was even a claw machine in the store that we played with while we waited for our drinks.

This boba spot is a little hidden from the road because of a large white tent covering the name of the spot. If it weren't for previous photos, I wouldn't know where to find it. What I liked about this place is that if you want to enjoy the bar area, there's an entrance to the right that will lead you to a seating area. I wanted to do a quick boba order so I made my way to the left where there was a kiosk for me to make my order. The order process was easy and there were a lot of options. I ordered the strawberry milk tea and it was very good. The milk tea was creamy and had all the flavor but wasn't too sweet. I didn't really speak to anyone until I got my order, so I can't really speak on service. The boba was made pretty quickly though so I was happy about that. This is also next to a restaurant that had an off-putting smell. Other than that, and with how difficult it might be to find, it was a good overall spot.
Honestly not an ideal place, especially with the other options in the area. I went with a friend and the entirely experience was a bit eerie from the start. The place is located in what looks like a hidden back alley, with no open signs or indicators of business taking place here. After entering through a sliding door, we waited until a worker popped out like we were in a movie, and we ordered. While waiting we wanted to check out the place, and I think this is where I felt the most unease. They have a back room for hookah, and while checking it out, the worker, who was alone, walked up to us in the middle of making our drinks and asked us to leave since we weren't smoking. It was a really weird experience with a really interesting man. It felt like we were in a business acting as a front to be honest, which might not be the case, but the overall experience was really weird. Anyways, we got our drinks and they weren't good at all. The honeydew slush didn't taste like honeydew and the mango tasted more like papaya. Not a good time at all, and I felt a huge sense of relief leaving.
Starting with the positive first, the drinks made were decent. I used too good to go app to get 2 drinks at a discounted price. They literally made it while i was there so its not quite in the spirit of too good to go but rather simply discounted prices on drinks the house chooses to make. Technically customer service was good once I got the worked to come out. However, when i first stepped in, i thought that maybe the business was no longer running. I stepped in and it was completely quiet. The big tablet with payment system, the lights, claw machine, and really amything that would indicate its still a functioning business was off. I rang the bell a couppe of times and called out to no reaponse for quite some time. Just as i was about to ask for a refund on too good to go and report the business defunct, I hear someone in the back say something. It took maybe a other minute for the guy to come out and it seemed like they had a bad foot or something. The whole store in general seemed like an abnadoned store and a little unkept. Anyway, overall the cups are cute, customer service was good, and drinks/boba were maybe average or a little bit above.
My friends and I had a good time here. The server was friendly and attentive. The prices were decent. There was enough seating for groups. The vape was just $5 so good for the time there as it wasn't strong and probably will not last long. The yogurt soju wasn't strong but it was kind of a creeper. They also have happy hour for $3 beers late night so we also got some beer. This is a great place to hang out with friends. We played games while we drank, vaped, and smoked hookah. Overall cost for 4 people was under $100 without tip. However, there is a surcharge for whatever reason... There isn't too much variety with the games, but it's free!
Came by because they were on too good to go. Listing stated "fresh fruit" drinks with decent ratings on both apps so I figured I would come by and give them a try. While the containers are cutely themed, milk tea and Thai tea are not the fresh fruit drinks advertised that I was expecting. Response from the staff is that it's whatever is left at end of day which makes sense. But tell me you're going to tell management to correct it and offer some sort of fix for my experience. Maybe their other stuff tastes better but these were subpar. The boba included with the milk tea was also subpar. I have better tasting instant stuff with boba for cheaper at home. The entrance into their inside seating was pretty cool with a faux elevator. Thought that was a nice touch.
Sometimes I just need some cuteness in my boba drinks and I don't care if the tea actually has boba or other toppings or not. Boba Bear is a small hidden gem for cute bottle boba! Good price that cines with a bear shape bottle and delicious tea. There's no seats inside, so it's more a pick up and go shop.
Located in a place a family member called "Dark Plaza." Glass Mason Jar containers were thoughtful and beverages were syrup free and fresh. A little husky puppy was spotted here with Managers beautiful GF. We visited early, late and pulled surprise visit midday. Quality of product, green containers and fresh fruit were appreciated. It's improving as we saw some old furniture was moved out and lights seemed brighter than before. Cool lounge environment and we got to pet little husky. Someone took a disciplinarian approach to an 8-week-old Husky puppy. Schutzhund training? Nice outside/inside lounge areas. Thanks for the hospitality at "Dark Plaza." read more

Ive been coming to this place for a year and it never disappoints. Cat, Viony and Ryan were helping me with drinks and hookah. They were so attentive and welcoming. I had a banana milk tea 10/10 and tried the "Smoke me" shisha which was also really good. This is one of my favorite spots, I will definitely come back! They cant get rid of me!! read more
I absolutely love this place!! I've been coming here even before they remodeled and the vibe of this place is just very cool and chill, basically a cool place to just hang out with friends. The servers are really nice, know their flavors, and really good recommendations. The pricing isn't too bad too if you're splitting it amongst a group. Also of course....can't forget the delicious boba!! I remember coming here to celebrate my birthday a few years back and can honestly say was one of the best birthdays I've ever had. This tea place totally surprised us with how unique the tea was. It was hard to find at first since it is in the corner of the plaza. Francis was really nice to us when he asked if we want to adjust the sweetness after we taste the tea but the tea was perfect. Will definitely come back to try everything on that menu. read more

I couldn't ask for a better customer service and better hookahs than what this place offers!! It is the absolute best! Boba Bear is my only favourite place that I feel like I'm getting what I am paying for. Very happy and satisfied. Hookah, boba, & dessert ONE STOP shop in the HK plaza Boba Bear was the only thing open late on a Sunday night for boba so we stopped by ---T'Oreo: oreo smoothie, not bad but there were some large unblended ice chunks they also have coffee, tea, & some dessert options but no savory foods! read more

Boba bear is a such a cute name for a store. Found this on Yelp and decided to try this place out. I am not really an expert on hookah and types of places like this. I've only been to three different hookah places. When I did come here it was during the weekday at night and actually it wasn't that busy so we were allowed to pick and choose where we wanted to sit. The sofa chairs are pretty comfy and nice. They also have a heater inside if you are cold during the winter months. Since finding this spot is so close to the area I've been here a few times with different friends and all actually liked how quiet it was. We were all able to have conversations even with the music on. Just a for warning that each person does need to buy a drink which I think isn't too bad. They also have a lot of different flavors to choose from just tell the workers what flavors you want. Like for example if you want it sweet or maybe a menthol flavor type. But I don't understand if we are able to keep the glass cup or not. read more

My go-to drinks are: the MangoBerry Green Tea + Boba and the Strawberry Green Tea + Boba. Their drinks and the boba are always made to order, and the boba pearls are ALWAYS consistently fresh, soft, and squishy (*not hard, stale, or overly cooked like some Other boba shops*). For an additional charge, you can also add a shot of Soju into your drink. And, Boba Bear locations also have an added hookah lounge open late nights, too. *TIP: Boba Bear, RHts location, is kinda hard to find. Located in the Hong Kong Plaza, and look TO THE LEFT of the HK Supermarket entry 18414, IN THE CORNER section across from Shau Mei Deli.* read more

I am SO glad I found this place! I came here with a couple of friends over the weekend and we all enjoyed it. We all love boba...and hookah. So when I found about Boba Bear I knew we had to come here. I ordered the Son of a Peach with boba, which is a peach iced tea with very little jelly pieces. It was so good! Very refreshing and not too overpoweringly sweet. For hookah, we ordered the peach, melon, mint mix. What I liked was the fact that the worker asked if we wanted a lot of mint, half mint, or just a hint of mint. The hookah was probably one of the greatest hookahs I've had. It never burned out and they use this metal thing instead of foil, which probably was why it didn't burn out. The workers are very knowledgable, since one of them informed us that foil isn't good. All the workers were very nice. What I liked was the fact that they would know themselves when the coals needed to be changed from far away and they would change them for you without harassing you. Price wise, I think it was very reasonable. We paid about $30 for 3 large boba drinks and a hookah. $10 a person? I'm in. This place kind of lacks the typical hookah bar which I like. It's not suffocating and stuffy or smokey inside. I did wish they had their music a little louder and dimmed their lights more but no biggie. Boba Bear has been around for a while right next to Tofu King in Maude HK2 Plaza. Even in the cold days as Taiwanese I like my cold drinks. I drop by before I pickup dinner nearby to have a Boba Milk Tea. They have simple menu and clean store front design. I cannot see the side of store since it was covered by a wall and a very red door entering it. I walk to the order counter and ring bell since no one was at the front. Every quickly a someone replied be right there. It was easy for me to decide since I already have my mind setup to try Boba Milk Tea. So I ordered Original Boba Milk Tea and it was made very quickly in Kitchen. It surprised me as they actually serves it in a tall glass jar with lid and a small hole for the Boba strew. It also have their Bear cartoon printed on it. The milk tea tasted ok but the surprise part is the Honey Boba. It retains really strong Honey Taste so the Milk Tea becomes secondary taste. I have realize this place is drink and Hookah which I am not too interested. Place definitely design to set people's mood with the lighting and the color. My drink was about $6ish including tax which isn't too expensive despite they gave you a glass Jar. Personally, I like the traditional black milk tea flavor since it provided extra layer of taste, but their milk tea over all isn't bad just smooth and light. read more

This place seems like a cool hookah place. It has a nice vibe. So if you're going here for that, your experience might be difference. I came here for the boba in a cute glass jar. For a place with "boba" in its name, I expected it to be more boba-centric. However, their boba is pretty bad. It's consistently hard, with starchiness halfway through the center of each. I can't say that quality is up to par with 90% of the other boba places in town. The milk tea, however, is funny. They have a "lavender coffee" on their menu, which I inquired about, specifically whether the lavender is an artificial flavor. I was skeptical when he said it was not. I ordered the almond milk tea and I almost peed myself when the guy whipped out a box of real almonds and poured it into a blender. This is probably the first time I've seen a blender used like this in a boba place. The milk tea itself is pre-mixed, overly sweet, and I couldn't really taste any specific tea. So overall while it's really cool to have real ingredients, I can't really justify nearly $7 for a drink. As one of the most expensive boba places in town, its quality is not entirely reciprocated. milk tea 6/10 almonds 10/10 boba softness 5/10 boba consistency 5/10 boba taste 7/10 (a hint of sweetness) P.S. If you thought the bear in the name was cute, wait until you check out their wall. read more
What a Hookah Spot, open late nights & fun chill vibes. The El monte location is very quite and more of a starbucks vibe (Nothing wrong with that) but this location is alive and a younger hip crowd. We waited about 20 min (not bad for a weekend night) we ordered the hookah with the lights and pineapple top, We tried it and for the first time we weren't really to happy with it. We were ready to leave after a few hours & might not have come back but our server noticed we weren't leaving happy so she called over the manger Angel and he insisted we give it another try and he will fix it. We stayed & Angel brought us out a new one, he chilled with us for a little and this time the hookah was on point. They service was great from the beginning and the awesome team made sure we had a great experience. We left happy costumes and will definitely be returning costumes. Check it out! read more

So I came here tonight expecting the usual couch seating, basic boba bear that I was used to here at this location. I usually go to the Koreatown location where they've recently been stepping their game up with all of their new upgrades. Little did I know that they were having their soft opening tonight and boy has this place changed. The whole interior is clean and very modern looking now. When you walk in they have a secret gateway inside ;) you'll see what I mean when you come to the location. I highly recommend this location if you want a chill night with friends. Their drinks are amazing and they will soon have alcoholic beverages from what I was told from one of their workers. Staff is amazing and very friendly. You'll want to keep coming back. read more
