Went to another place nearby to eat and saw this place had great reviews so we decided to get dessert. Got the large pudding and q mochi milk. It was massive!! I would say enough for 4 people to share! It was subtly sweet, the mochi and all the toppings were delicious. The only bad thing is they were doing construction to half of the restaurant while we were there which made it noisy.
This place was really big and super clean, and I saw a bunch of families hanging out inside eating desserts. The staff were also very nice and quickly made our food. I got a shaved ice off the special Thai tea menu. The boba and mochi balls were cooked perfectly! I also loved the caramel pudding, sago, and ice cream. The Thai tea was delicious on the shaved ice, but it was way too big to eat all by myself.
This place is a light dessert/chill hang out space. We ordered the 'Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice' and 'Matcha Egg Waffle'. The shaved ice was soooo yummy and not too sweet, brought me back to the shaved ice desserts I ate when I visited Vietnam. The egg waffle was crispy on the outside and had a matcha tasting doughy inside. Came here with my family of 4 for a dessert and the vibes were so comfy we hung out, laughed and talked until our dessert was all gone.
I stopped by on a Monday because I was craving something sweet, but I was pretty disappointed. I ordered the strawberry fruit tea, and it was way too sweet for even a sweet tooth's taste. I would definitely reduce the sugar by 70% or so I also got the hot tofu dessert with red bean, and it wasn't what I expected. The tofu wasn't very silky and smooth, and the whole thing was super soupy, as they overloaded it with sweet syrup. Plus, the red beans were a little too hard However, the service was great and quick, the workers there spoke English and mandarin. There were also plenty of seats for big groups

I think it's so funny that Asians (me included) compliment desserts by saying, "It's not too sweet!" And Meet Fresh is one of those shops that has really good desserts that "aren't too sweet," haha. I happened to be in Salt Lake when a Michelin star chef was collaborating with Meet Fresh to make an amazing Thai tea flavored menu. We ordered the shaved ice, which came with ice cream, Thai tea foam, and a BUNCH of little surprises hidden under the shaved ice (such as mochi, egg pudding, and jellies!). The Thai tea foam alone was enough for me to want to go back! (Too bad the collaboration ended!!) Overall, 4/5 stars because I've been to Meet Fresh twice and both times the service was really slow. Also because the shaved ice could definitely have been softer (like Korean shaved snow!).

Also the times when I over order everything and the server issues a warning that it isn't humanly possible to consume the amount of food I've ordered. I defiantly order the ungodly amounts of food anyway. Most of the time, to spite the doubters, I finish it all and regret it later. My point is, I met my match at Meet Fresh when I ordered the 'large' (aka garGANtuan) mango Snow ice. The woman warned me. I played it cool. I knew what I wanted and it was a huge heap of mango snow ice to dive into. And there were 2 of us sharing it, so obviously we would need the largest one on the menu so there would be no fork battles. Then...it arrived. I was instantly humbled and humiliated. The mountainous pile of mango snow had me wondering if I was being punked for defiantly ordering the 'large' against the advice of the woman who knew better. All we could think to do was laugh for incorrectly thinking we were the Incredible hulk with this mango snow ice situation. But what you've been waiting for amidst my ramblings is that it was AMAZING. So incredibly delicious and refreshing. Just everything you want in a snowy pile of ice and sweet mango. Meet Fresh has since become our favorite for sweet treats. The Almond soup is a must try if you like warm, almondy stuff. The taro and tofu soups are also delicious. But unless you have 6 people to help you finish the 'large' snow ice...go with the regular size
Trying to find parking was so hard. This was our first time trying the Thai tea shaved ice. I thought the sauce glazing over it was overbearing. Every bite had something different in it, it felt like. The ice cream also did not have much of a taste to it. Tasted like milk. The service was fast and great. Large seating area and even a charging station. I just wished their bathrooms were better and cleaner.
I love a good snow cream and I will do about anything for a mochi waffle so I was excited there was a place much closer to home. I usually head out to west valley for my mochi waffle. The mochi waffle was divine. The Snow cream volcano was too sweet for us. I usually order taro flavor which they didn't have at the time so we went with strawberry.

I just found my ultimate favorite dessert here, the hot red bean signature soup! It has taro balls, sesame balls, taro, boba, red bean and red bean soup. Basically all the things I love in a bowl. It's lukewarm and not hot like the name suggests. It's so nostalgic of the typical chè in Vietnam where I grew up. Previously I usually order the icy version but I think I'm not a big fan of a big bowl of ice anymore, this is much better! It's not too sweet either, which is the best compliment for an East Asian dessert. The picture of the dish in the menu might suggest that you can see all the ingredients, vs the actual dish might have way more soup so all ingredients kinda get hidden beneath. I would like my dish to stay as close to the picture as possible.

Spacious with plenty of seating and tables are always clean. Drinks are decently priced and not too much ice. Everyone is always friendly. But there's a particular lady that's always impressive. When someone else is taking your drink order, she is so fast and will have it ready before you're done paying. Even when it's just her she is super fast! Not only is she fast, the drinks are always consistent. Even when she's not there, the drinks are just as good. I recommend parking on the west side of the plaza and walking over.

Service was quick and presentation in beautiful !! For a store that wasn't too busy at the time we came in, I found the strew of dirty tables to be disappointing. The food looked gorgeous upon being served but I found the bingsoo to be lackluster. As someone who has had bingsoo multiple times, I found this bingsoo to be poorly shaven - the texture isn't as soft as many other bingsoos - and I found it to be missing the condensed milk throughout. The fruit flavors were great and I did enjoy the fruit as well. The egg waffle was lacking flavor, even for the original flavor. However it was well cooked, crispy-ish on the outside (a nice crust) and a soft and sponge-like inside ! read more
We were so excited to see this here in Utah. The experience was not entirely a letdown but at $15 for the sole dessert pictured: 1. We waited for over 20 minutes and there were at most 3 tables in the dessert area. In the 20 minutes before ours came out, they prepared 2 others -- so a total of 3 in that time period. Be prepared to wait...they share space and staff with the Malatang space next door, and they appeared to be moving slowly, understaffed and uninterested. 2. I waited patiently expecting to be blown away assuming they must have been spending the time meticulously preparing this dessert. I was wrong. It wasn't bad, but it was a few pieces of soft, delicious mochi along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce atop a bowl of slushed ice, reminiscent of what I made out of my Snoopy snow cone machine as a kid and not the fresh, fluffy snow-like shaved ice one would expect with this order. Imagine hitting the slopes and skiing on ice-like granules instead of powdery snow. It's just not the same experience. read more
Went in on a Friday afternoon, and it was empty. There was a lot of space, lots of seating and it was pretty clean. We got the Strawberry Milk Shave Ice, it was sweet and so refreshing. Presentation was a 10/10! The shave ice was nice and smooth, and we loved how fresh the strawberries tasted. We got a medium, and the portion was very generous! We were able to share it between me, my man, and my daughter! read more

Meet fresh always has a good assortment of desserts to satisfy your cravings. We got the crystal mochi milk shaved ice to share it and was very good! It was a large serving of shaved ice and I thought the crystal mochi was okay. It is chewy and filled with red bean, not exactly the softest mochi but still good. I also got the win win milk tea which I thought was very good, the black tea is brewed nicely and gave a heavy tea flavor. Also got the QQ winter melon tea and it was perfect! Wow a "Xian Yu Xian" in SLC?! I was pleasantly surprised haha. First time visiting Salt Lake City and really didn't expect much about the Chinese food scene here. I made my own bowl because I only wanted specific things in my bowl. The Yuyuan or taro balls were fresh and chewy. The shaved ice was pretty sweet but tasted refreshing with the red beans and almond pudding. Just great for a super hot and dry day. Service was pretty fast since it was in the middle of an afternoon on a weekday and no other customer was here when I ordered. read more
Wow I am so disappointed. I haven't been to Meet Fresh in a while, and seemed like the hype has died down a lot. There was no customer inside when I went at night. I remembered ordering their hot ube milk a long time ago and absolutely loved it, so I went just for this. I saw there was a sticker over this item on the menu, so I asked if they ran out or didn't sell it anymore. The server said she could still make it. I had the order to go and didn't drink it on the spot, but I was so disappointed to find that it tasted nothing like what I had before. The taste was very bland, and I could barely taste any ube. Not only that, there were some ube strands in it (and these were NOT the good kind of real ube. I wasn't sure if they were ube either--the color looked more like taro) that tasted disgusting. Although the server had good intentions, I would rather she not try to make this order if she didn't know how to make it or didn't have the ingredients needed. The quality at this location has changed since it opened a few years ago, and I will not be going back. read more
Meet Fresh is always a refreshing treat, regardless of whether it's hot or cold outside. They have a nice variety of drinks and desserts to satisfy a variety of cravings. This was my first time visiting this location, and I thought the service was great. The shop was extremely clean and nicely decorated. My friend and I had a big dinner, so we only ordered drinks to go. We got the Winter melon tea with mini taro balls & herbal grass jelly. The drink was very refreshing, the winter melon tea itself was fragrant. The mini taro balls had a nice texture and the grass jelly was a great addition to this drink. If you order an extra drink to save for later, ask for ice on the side. They will fill up your cup and give you a separate container of ice. I thought this was very thoughtful of them. Some boba places give you 1/4 less of the drink if you ask for no ice. Thank you, Meet Fresh, for not being cheap! Great customer service! read more

Meet fresh is a Taiwanese chain dessert shop that opened up in Utah. Now can anything go wrong with taste and how everything is? Not really. Usually the review would be based on my experience since I'm sure the chain name would have mastered the flavor, texture and all the yumminess. With that said, everything I've ordered was delicious. I loved the grass jelly taro dessert. Love my winter melon tea with taro. I wish the taro flavor was stronger, but it's still very good. Everything wasn't super sweet, so I never had to adjust any sweetness. Service was decent. The staff was pretty friendly and everyone was fully uniformed. It is slightly slower to get things due to the amount of people that is ordering, but they are still having things pump out super quick. Seating is super limited since covid. So if you're like anyone who goes there to wait in the long line for food, you'd send someone in your party to save a table when it opens up. Something I dislike a lot would be the lack of covid concern. Yes everyone is wearing a mask, but honestly how the line was forming, there was no concern with remaining 6 feet. The line actually wrapped in the building instead of outside, which is strange. And also the line is wrapped around the tables, which made no sense since everyone is hovering over people with their mask off eating. read more

Always love Meet Fresh when we're visit Vegas. Decided we were due for some Fresh Milk tea!! Was surprised to learn they don't do 75% sweetness here. Only 100-50-0. Vegas has always done that for us. Weird. The Jasmine Milk tea (not fresh milk) is always my go-to. It was nice and refreshing but they need to have a stronger Jasmine tea base. Either soak it longer, use more, or get another type. It's about 30% less strong than other locations. Maybe today was an off day. Wintermelon Fresh Milk never disappoints!!! Fantastic always. Customer service was great, too. The girl working was very sweet! read more

Found this little gem when I was walking along Chinatown for some good bubble tea drinks. When I say good bubble tea, I MEAN IT. The staff is extremely friendly and patient. I had a hard time reading the menu, deciding what to get. I ended up getting the basic drink. I also asked for egg waffle, which makes me excited when I see it in the menu. The staff served the drinks so fast! You don't have to wait for long. I stayed a little bit due to the egg waffle being cooked for 5 mins. I realized I forgot to change my ice and sugar, and the staff was happy to tweak it for me. I felt bad about it, but still, I appreciate the customer service. The bubble tea is delicious and the tapioca pearls are satisfyingly chewy!! I don't recommend leaving it overnight bc they don't have the same chewiness anymore. The egg waffle was hot and crispy. One of the best ones I've tasted in Salt Lake City! I recommend visiting this area if you want both. It's pricey, but the price is worth it! read more

At first glance, the name of this place kind of put me off. But as soon as I walked inside and smelled what they had to offer, I knew I needed to place an order. We ordered the Chocolate Deluxe and Matcha Deluxe egg waffles. It took about 15 minutes to get our orders...(they did warn us ahead of time that it would take 10 minutes per order, so just keep that in mind.) The matcha was good but the chocolate deluxe was incredible! The matcha is a great option for someone who doesn't want something too sweet and the chocolate is perfect for any die-hard dessert fans. What we loved most about the chocolate deluxe was the addition of chocolate chips in the egg waffle batter! There was a fun, melty, semi-sweet surprise in every bite. These waffles are a bit pricey, but they're also a bit of a novelty item here in Utah, so I guess it makes sense. Will I go back? Probably not. Am I happy we tried it? Very! read more
I stopped here with a friend after shopping at the Chinese Supermarket, and it is such a cute shop! The menu is extensive and the selection of toppings you can add to your drink is incredible! I ordered the orange and passion fruit green tea, and it was refreshing, subtly sweet and had fresh passion fruit seeds that added a really nice pop! I absolutely loved it! My friend ordered the winter melon tea, and the flavors reminded me of a honeydew melon with notes of vanilla and sugar. The next time you're driving down state street in the need of a refreshing beverage, pop in to Meet Fresh and I promise you won't regret it! read more
This was my first time having Meet Fresh ever and I was surprised to find one in Salt Lake City Utah of all places! I was staying in Park City with friends for a snowboarding trip. We had dinner and there was only 1 hour left before closing. We made the last minute decision to just floor it and drive all the way back into the city from park city in our 15 seater van. The employee might have been annoyed at us for calling ahead saying that we'll be there instead of placing an order on our way. But he was understanding and really gave us a lot for our order. I'm not going to lie, I was quite surprised by the amount of Asian food in Salt Lake City. I was even more surprised when I found out that there was a Meet Fresh in Chinatown. Unfortunately that excitement didn't really last that long. Meet Fresh is a franchise out of California known for their Taiwanese shaved ice and other sweets. The day my group decided to visit, we were told that there was no more shaved ice when we tried to order. I was very disappointed in the staff, they didn't really help manage the expectations of the many people waiting on line. Everyone was lining up to order shaved ice and dessert only to get to the front of the line to all of a sudden having to rethink their order, which led to an even longer line. My friend ended up settling for a winter melon drink. Despite seeing that they were starting to get swamped they only had one person taking orders one person making the drinks & dessert. The others staffers were just sitting in the back on their phones. My group waited about 40 minutes for us to get a pre-made tea that just needed to be poured. I was really glad we didn't get any of the other desserts. From what I could tell the customers that got their desserts often had incorrect orders. I saw one person order waffle cones only to get two when they ordered three. He complained to the staff which them gave him an attitude and told him to get back on line to have the cashier fix the order. The quality of this Meet Fresh really surprised me and unfortunately they're not making the brand look good in Salt Lake City. Please stay away from this Meet Fresh and try it in another city. Please be aware that this Meet Fresh may have higher review rating than what it's supposed to have. This branch inflating their ratings by giving out free stuff for five star reviews, pretty dirty practice that should be flagged by Yelp. read more
We came at closing. There waffle machine went down, bummer. The strawberry shaved ice that we wanted are only available during the summer time. I posted photos of menus and the shaved ice that's on the menu that they are currently serving. I'm giving this place 5 stars as I picked up a phone case. It's cute. I got matcha latte, they didn't have whip and so they added beans and other stuff that I don't like so I dumped it. I wish they asked me first. I dont think I'll visit this place until summer time to get the shaved ice options during the summer. read more

WARNING. Came here to dine in, did not mention wanting our order "to-go" at all. We ordered two shaved ice desserts. After waiting over 30 minutes on a slow weekday night, our order was finally given to us. It did not resemble shaved ice at all. It was all melted, soup-like, and in to-go cups. We weren't asked to-go or for dine-in when we first made our order. Extremely disappointed in the results. Side note: after spending more time in the establishment, it looks like everyone else who ordered shaved ice also had to-go cups for their orders, in the extra 30 minutes we spent hanging around. They looked surprised and disappointed too. Clearly they had bowls and plates in the back. So not sure what was going on... I'm sure this place would be great, but did not meet expectations (pretty picture of shaved ice) for first-timers. read more
Large Menu, but when I went tonight and tried to order the Matcha Latte Smoothie from the menu, I was told their blender didn't work, so no smoothies were available. Also, wanted the Matcha Waffle Deluxe, but was told they only had Original waffles available. That should have been my hint to walk away from this place, but I like to try new spot's, so I went for an Original waffle deluxe and the Taro Paste Fresh Milk Tea. I'm not sure there was even Tea in mine. It tasted only like Milk with Taro Paste and Boba. Worst boba I've had in the Valley. The waffle was dry and had no fluffy texture or flavor you'd expect from a waffle the ice cream was it's saving grace. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. I bought two gross bobas and two gross waffle deluxe's for a hefty price of $31.99. This is one of those places where the menu looks better than it actually tastes. read more
