There is a parking structure nearby and one thing I must say that they do not make drinks quick. The ambiance is a very chill, calm, and tranquil place. Has a few chairs, tables, and lounge area. They have a sign that says they don't rush making their drinks. If you're in a time crunch, this is not a place for you to go. It took over 20 minutes to get 3 drinks made. The drinks were delicious, but not if you're on a time crunch.

I had really high expectations since this place had such high ratings and when you walk in, there's a strong aroma of freshly brewed tea. Boy was I fooled! This was probably the worst black milk tea I've ever had! It was so watered down and diluted. No sweetness at all and no milk or tea flavors either! My boyfriend and i took one sip, gagged, and then took another sip to make sure we weren't trippin. We could not believe what we were tasting! Total sips: 4 before dumping it in the trash. The drinks came out quick though and you order at the kiosk so no need to tip. Thank God we didn't tip because that drink was a disaster. Would not recommend!

Great place for boba and they are open pretty late. My jasmine milk tea was better than any dessert I could have had after a big dinner at Javier's. Friend who is local is a regular. Clean space. Decent seating. Fun desserts. Very expansive menu.

There's street parking or structure parking nearby to access this location. The inside is fairly pretty with couches to relax. There's a kiosk for ordering. The drinks arrived at a good time. Even when it was busy the drinks didn't take too long. I got the blueberry smoothie and it was pretty good. Good sweetness level and refreshing. I'd try it again.

Nice simple boba place in Pasadena with a cute interior. They got my order wrong tbh haha but that's alright, it was still decent. You can still taste the tea which is a personal preference for me over a pure sugary drink. Lots of options to choose from!

I didn't like the tea last time but I liked the boba. So decided to give them another try... and ordered a different drink this time. I ordered the mango fruit cha with green tea. What I got looked nothing like the picture they used. When I asked the staff why my drink looks nothing like their picture... she just shrugged her shoulders.

I visited BoBa ChaCha to do some reading - it was really cute spot, quiet and clean. I ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk - I'm not sure what kind of almond milk they used but it was absolutely delicious. It is on the sweeter side but the matcha and almond flavor mixed really well. Best matcha latte I had in the area!

Boba ChaCha's strong points are its super cute aesthetics and friendly worker. It has a variety of seating arrangements making it a good setting for duos and medium sized groups. The boba balls were nice and chewy. Unfortunately, the drink itself tasted watered down, possibly due to my alterations. I got a Lavender milk tea with 75% sweetness, 100% ice and soy milk. If you're planning to go maybe order the drinks at 100% sweetness with regular milk and less ice. The strawberry cheesecake had cute plating, but flavor wise was a bit lacking. I'm willing to give them another try in the future, but I'll probably try different menu items next time around.

My family came to try out a new boba spot in Old Town Pasadena after seeing a BOGO deal online. Chacha is on a busy street with limited street parking and a $5 parking structure close by. The place is cute, feminine decor with both self kiosk ordering and a front cashier. I was surprised to see that they had a green Thai iced tea which I love so I ordered that and my daughter got a jasmine green tea with popping boba. She loved hers, and was excited to see that there were multiple topping optionsfor their drinks. My green Thai tea was okay, had an interesting aftertaste. Overall it's just an okay spot, didn't really stand out but it's worth a try if there's another bogo deal especially if you have to pay for parking.

This is our go-to boba shop in old town. Not fancy or fun cool flavors like others in the area but you can always count on them to make it right. Their boba is mostly fresh but we have had instances where their jelly is a bit off. There is no "service" as you order on a screen but you can always catch the eye of the worker making them. There is usually only one person working the back so be ready to wait if you're a large group/order. Cute shop with communal table and couches.

Apparently, when you order the popping boba, it is now premixed with the jelly. They do not mention this anywhere, even when ordering at the counter. I confirmed with the gal at the counter that it is not possible to only get the popping boba, you have to get the jelly too. It really ruins the drink.

Absolutely love the aesthetic of this place. I've been here 4 times consecutively and the staff is super kind. The consistency of the drinks and flavors are perfect each time. I don't think it worth it for a cup of milk tea made from all artificial synthesis ingredients. And the coffee is BAD. I can tell they even don't have a proper machine to make fresh brewed coffee. It tastes like made from coffee power for a 9$ coffee. read more

Just went here for the first time and it was such a nice find. Good drinks (I got the Hojicha with boba). You get 2 free toppings. Good ambiance -- it's all decorated for fall and Halloween. Love the couches as well as the long table. Not too small, plenty of room. Nice natural lighting and warm overhead lighting. It's a great place to work. Taylor Swift was the album playing while I was there. All around just really great. read more

Personally I have a really great experience at this boba place. Ive been to alot of boba places but not one like this. There staff is friendly and their atmosphere is so nice! The place is pretty neat with their logo on a plant wall. They also have games for entertainment along with a sofa and chairs to lounge around! Not to mention how amazing their drinks are. Though expensive, flavor was good and, if you like jellies, they load them up here. If I had a choice, I prefer the offerings at 3CAT in Arcadia for mango drinks; however, I think this is a great spot on a hot day in Pasadena.

The matcha mochi added a nice soft chew texture at the bottom and the Matcha Mousse left a melt-in-your-mouth feel. The Mango Sunshine Souffle Pancake was devine! The pancakes aren't too sweet, but the mango puree and cheese mousse brought a creamy sweetness and the fresh fruit added provided nice pops of bright sweetness. Super well balanced.

The only downside is that it was stifling inside and felt like an oven between the hot afternoon sun and no (or weak) air conditioning. Fortunately I didn't need to linger once my drink was made, and since it's just a takeaway counter, there isn't any space to sit down, anyway. Tip: The drink was quite large, and in our case, one was big enough for two people to share.

The food was substandard. In So Cal, we have tons of choices for this sort of food and desserts. We made the trip to Pasadena because of our experience with Nana's in Hawaii. After the ordering process, the 4 desserts we ordered took a very long time to prepare. Our situation was not unique. Many people before and after us had long faces and watched as others finally got their food. We had two lattes, a matcha soft serve and a parfait. All but soft serve were overflowing and dripping out of their cups/glasses as soon as we touched them. Despite the lattes chocolate syrups, milk and whipped cream - they somehow managed to be watery and lack taste. As for the hojicha parfait, the design of the glass was not user friendly. They are tall and narrow. Because everything was packed too tightly, it was impossible to get a spoon into the glass without things coming out of it. It was a chore and unpleasurable. I understand that using cereal is a thing for these desserts. IMO this is a very cheap and low end ingredient for something with a perceived elevated experience as Nana's tries to present. I don't believe Nana's in Hawaii had glasses, just plastic cups, so having cereal in my dessert that came in a plastic cup really didn't phase me, but with all that cereal pouring out of the glass cup as I tried to get the contents inside that tiny glass was a really frustrating experience. It just didn't add-up. It made no sense what was happening. The parfait had one small scoop of hojicha and the majority of the glass was full of plain soft serve. As I said, in So Cal we have so, so many choices. What is the point of coming to this place for vanilla soft serve? We will not be back - very disappointing. My wife and I grew up in the area, so I understand that the buildings are old, but Nana's was a new build at the time of this writing, and it looked like it had been there for a decade. I understand that there are things that can't be done about the building, but I did expect more from the interior. As the sun was blasting in my kid's faces, I noticed there were no shades. I also noticed they didn't clean their windows! Because of the sun blaring in their eyes, I then noticed the lack of finish in the window sills... I heard this was a flagship store, but sorta seems like a neglected franchise.

Stop scrolling and get ordering immediately if you're looking for quality boba tea, a modern yet cozy space to hang out with friends, and amazing customer service. I stopped by and had a chat with the owner, Preeya, who is wonderful! She's well versed in psychology, has plenty of cafe and restaurant experience, and told me all about her goal to create a safe, comfy place to enjoy delicious drinks and bites. Formerly a gelato spot, this space sat empty and unfinished for over a year. I love what the proprietor of this shop has done w/ the space. It is bright and inviting w/ an open concept. I'm not really much of a boba guy, but I went ahead and tried the signature Boba w/ Lychee tea, and it was just delightful. A message to Pasadena residents: maybe Boba isn't your thing...I literally just said it's not mine, but if everyone who lives within three or four blocks of this place commits to purchasing some boba once or twice a month, this new business will thrive and it will help other new businesses thrive. This is a family owned business that serve not only yummy boba and teas but they have a few desserts that are trending on social media at the moment! They sell banana pudding, Rainbow Crepe cake, Macrarons, etc... The interior of the boba cafe is also a great place to study, take cute pictures, and to meet with friends and family.
