This "bubble drink" place is located in the Crossroads Mall. I am a huge fan of black milk tea with boba (if done correctly) and it was such a disappointment when I had it here. First, they were out of "large" boba and they asked if small boba would be okay; I agreed and ended up with these tiny slimy balls in my tea (exactly as gross as it sounds); I jokingly call bubble drinks "a drink you can chew" and this had no chewing involved. The tea itself was overly sweet and really didn't have any dimension of flavor (i.e. it was one-note, that note being SWEET from sugar). Never been to Taiwan so can't speak to the authenticity, but IMO, Best popcorn chicken around town. The flavor is awesome - love the heat and the kick from the basil. The batter isn't too thick, a great balance between meat and dough and perfectly fried. The price is also very reasonable, my family and I are customers are life as long as they don't jack up the price or change how they cook these puppies. As for the bubble tea, I'm not a great judge of them as I'm not much of a BBT drinker, but I do like their drinks on the occasions that I do order something. read more

Located inside crossroad mall and have the tastiest regular milk tea! The milk tea taste really similar to oasis tea zone's regular milk tea! I usually either get the milk tea with pudding or boba. They also have a stamp card. Small size available too if you're not too hungry. They serve popcorn chicken and other snacks too. Came to Bellevue Crossroads to have lunch with my friend and her family. My friend, her sister and I all got the regular milk tea with boba (regular size tapioca) and it was BOMB!!! When it's warm out I get a blueberry smoothie, half boba, half popping mango. When it's cold I get a hot milk tea with boba. Those choices have pretty much never failed me (taro smoothie is good too) though there are a few flavor that are a bit meh (my sister who has dairy issues always gets a peach icy which is yum as well). Flavors aside, I really like that their boba is good. Only a few places have good boba in my opinion (in many places either the flavor or texture is off). Never had a problem with credit/debit card thing.. Usually they just charge 50 cents extra (or I upgrade to a large) and a few times they just ran it at the under $4 price. I hate that they don't have boba ready when they open though and that's part of the reason I knocked off one start. You're called BOBA express but sometimes you don't have boba until an hour after you've been open? Come on! Also, make sure to get a stamp card. Nothing super fancy, but I drop by here for milk tea whenever I'm in the Crossroads area (which is pretty often). The peach milk tea and the jasmine milk tea are my favorites, although I got a lychee smoothie yesterday and I think it's become my new favorite. My biggest complaint is that the tapioca is not always well cooked- maybe I'm too picky, but I feel like the center of the tapioca is too firm, and a few times my order had a few completely uncooked pearls at the bottom. read more

When asked their answer was very rude and they don't know how to interact with customers. When asked again they didn't give the drink and asked me to have a refund, in a very very rude way. This place is amazing. I really know how good boba should taste. This place has it down. The syrups are artificial, but it doesn't attack your throat like some places do. I love this place! Between this location and the one in Kent, I've gotten at least like 100 cups of BBT. Boba Express never goes wrong for me. I do however keep it simple though and only get the clear teas. I usually never order smoothies or milk tea. Their black tea is hands down the best I've had around here. Most of the people complaining here don't even know what real bubble tea is. Saying avacado smoothie is bubble tea is like saying general tso's chicken is authentic chinese food. Just because the drink has tapioca doesn't make it a bubble tea. Snacks are also very good, the popcorn chicken and calamari are my favorite. As for the service, it depends on who you get. For the times I have been here, I was never told of a stamp card, and my drink gets worst every time. :/ Are they losing patience? I used to order papaya milk, but after I start tasting the illusionary powder, and the "fresh" bitter papayas, I decided to change it up. Iced Taro Milk Tea with regular boba is the best! I've lived in Washington for the past 3 years, and Boba Express is one of my favorite places for Bubble Tea. My only pet peeve is when I have to wait to be helped while the staff is in their corner playing on their computer (even the older gentleman who works there doesn't notice customers waiting). When we were there on a Saturday, there were three young ladies working. The one who took our order was very friendly and lively. I ordered three taro smoothies for my group, and it was tasty and perfect on a sunny day. The tapioca was very chewy and on point. Yes, there is an extra charge for toppings, but there are many other boba places that do the same thing anyways. Delicious, I come here with my girlfriend and pick up a Taro milk tea with tapioca and a Thai milk tea with tapioca; both of which have become our go to favorites. This place doesn't short on the tapioca balls and their tapioca is GOOD, you don't have to worry about bad tapioca here. Boba was cooked thoroughly & had the perfect texture. I noticed they used the VitaMix blender & used all fresh fruits (not the powdery fruit flavor type, which most boba places use)! The smoothies were blended just right & they didn't have the foamy texture or the ice/watery taste. They did have plenty of customers so their service was on the slower side but you could tell they were trying to accommodate all of their customers with kindness. I just moved from the Bay Area of California, where there are tons of Boba spots. I was craving Boba, so I found this place on Yelp. It is located inside Crossroads Mall in the food court area, which is a bad sign on its own. The menu was kind of large, but did not include any boba or drinks with espresso in it. The tapioca balls were sweeter than I have had at any other place, which was good at first, but then became too much. The people were friendly, but they do not accept credit card (cash only).
