I ordered the OG milk tea with boba. While the service was quick and I did finish the drink, I didn't love it. The milk tea had a powdery taste, and I'm not sure if they use real or powdered milk. My favorite place to get my classic black milk tea. The tapioca is amazing, specifically the honey boba. This establishment is always consistent with the flavor and service for the customers which I thoroughly appreciate. It is also nice that it is open pretty late, perfect for a late night craving. I'm a big fan of the fruit tea drinks they make here. Especially the ones with little peach bits. They are definitely on the sweeter side, so I recommend less sugar. This location is usually not packed, but it also seems like there's usually only 1 worker doing orders and drinks so it can take a long time to get a drink even if there's only one or two people ahead of you. Once there were a few people who ordered ahead of me so I placed an order and did a whole grocery store nearby, and when I came back the drink still wasn't ready. I still think it's worth it to get a drink from here. Just maybe not if you're in a rush. My other complaint is that they don't open until 1pm, so I can't ever get a drink with my lunch. read more

Lots of love for BobaLust! This is now one of my top places to grab a tea. They have several unique signature teas, smoothies and slushies, most of which include fruit bits or jelly. I love the names... Legend of Momo, Lychee Bomb and Cuddles on the Beach all sounded delicious to me. If you want a more traditional drink, you can select from their menu of milk teas and original teas. Two employees managed ordering and crafting the drinks. The employee we spoke with was knowledgeable about the menu and had such a cheerful attitude which we appreciated. Since we inquired about the sweetness levels of our drinks, he offered samples of them at 0% sugar so that we could let him know if we wanted more sweetener. Surprisingly at 0%, our teas were bursting with fruit flavor and we didn't see a need to alter them. It was very generous of him to provide the samples and is something that makes BobaLust stand out amongst its competitors. I got their specialty STARGIRL ($6), which was a shaken raspberry peach green tea with mango bits (jelly). This was SO refreshing with bright fruitiness and juiciness from the mango bits! Additionally, they perfectly executed my request for light ice. I enjoyed every sip. At any other shop, I typically would have ordered boba, but I didn't miss it at all with this drink. I also couldn't help but notice that some of the mango bits were cut into star shapes - what a cute detail! My companion enjoyed an ORIGINAL LYCHEE BLACK TEA ($5) with boba (+$0.75). She said it had a strong lychee flavor and the boba was nice and firm as opposed to being soft. Their teas are on the more fruity side and dominate the actual flavor of the tea, but I didn't mind too much since I was more than happy with my drink. I purchased the blue lagoon teas for my kids. I got to try the Thai green milk tea for the event. Love that you can borrow games here. Lots of tables to spread out and spend some time here. Feels very clean. Easy parking in a strip mall area. Close to many shops and a mile from Grass Lawn Park where we went after to play. Excellent spot for boba. Loads of choices and amazing service for newbie boba drinkers. Christmas decorations still up which I found charming because I don't have to clean it. The mango slushy had tons of mango chunks and the perfect amount of tajin. Sweet & spicy at the same time. My favorite boba shop hands down. Every item I've tried so far is addicting as I'm trying to make my way through the entire menu. There's a lot of variety (including toppings) for everyone and it does stand out from most basic boba places. My personal favorites are the OG Milk Tea and Orange Dreamsicle. Some drinks can be on the sweet side especially those with the jelly, so cut back on in a bit while ordering. Service has always been super courteous at each of my visits, even during times when the lines are stretching towards the door. I grew up in Bridle Trails, just minutes from this location of Bobalust. I rarely have any reason to be back in that particular area so it was a fun treat to see how much that shopping center has changed, to now include a boba shop among endless other changes. The staff member that greeted was prepared to take my order and provided a lot of friendly guidance along the way. I explained that I have lately been into fruity/citrusy drinks that are more on the tart side with a nice strong tea flavor. While they didn't have a lemon/citrus tea drink, I was suggested a drink off the secret menu with passionfruit, mango, and lychee. I went with the lowest sweetness option with light ice with mango and tapioca pearls as toppings. I was given the opportunity to sample my drink before it was served, giving me the option to opt for less sweetness (negative sweetness as it was called it). This was a really unique offer, I wish more shops gave you a sample to make last second adjustments if needed! I also love that the chewy slushy ice cubes they use- adds a great texture to the drink! BobaLust to me specializes more in their fruity drinks. The boba is fine, but nothing special. Drinks here are also super sweet in comparison to your standard spots, so if you're used to other places, definitely adjust your sugar levels. BobaLust has the friendliest employees of all boba spots, I swear, so definitely feel free to ask questions and ask for recommendations. They also use crunchy ice in their drinks so that can be a pro. Some ice pieces are small enough to fit through your straw so there's another added layer of texture and crunch, almost a free topping. Though chewing ice isn't for everyone. Love that all toppings are 50 cents including crystal boba unlike other places. Drinks are definitely comparable in price to your average chain, so they're on the cheaper side when you consider all boba spots (as many of the newer or non-chains tend to be pricier). Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba - smooth, creamy milk tea that doesn't have as strong of a tea flavor. Extremely sweet, however. Boba was alright, pretty chewy but lacked flavor. Purple Galaxy (taro oreo) - the classic taroreo ice blend you can find at other boba spots. Super sweet and chocolatey while maintaining that taro taste. Not many boba shops have unique flavors like the Purple Galaxy and Chococat (chocolate slush infused with raspberry oreo). The Purple Galaxy is my personal favorite. You could say the combination of taro and Oreo is "out of this world". Overall, most drinks are decently sweet, even at 50%.
