I have been here twice now. The first time was probably a few years ago. I recalled that I didn't like what I ordered. This time around, the same. I ordered a lychee oolong. Not sure if they ran out of oolong, but there was no tea flavor at all?? I felt like I was drinking lychee juice or something. Maybe they are popular for their strawberry matcha milk? Since Boba Guys opened, I heard good things about it. Maybe I happened to order the wrong drink. I don't think I will be back, but if I do...I will try their milk drinks.
Always stopping by here when I'm at 2nd and PCH. The rose black tea, strawberry matcha latte, and lychee oolong tea are my top favorites. I love that their drinks here are not as sweet but flavorful and refreshing. Tons of seating to hang out at. On occasion, they have a live musician on the stage by the grassy area. Good drinks. Fast service.
Came here on a random weekday, and it was empty. I expected better service given so, but one of the workers just looked at me through the open door while I was standing at the register. At least a simple hi or a wave would suffice. Also, it still took some time before the worker walked over to me even though she made eye contact with me already and there was no one else waiting to order. Keep in mind, there were two workers in the back. The drinks were okay. Not super bad, but not super great where I would go out of my way to drive back here for preference. I tried the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Milk Tea and liked the light taste, but I've also tried TP Tea's version of the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Milk Tea and TP Tea's tasted light but more flavorful in comparison. My mom tried their Classic Black Milk Tea, which was good-- can't really go wrong with a black milk tea at a boba shop, so it's a safe choice. I do like how this place is outdoors and you get the fresh air by the ocean, so that's a plus with the outdoor seating. Just wish that service was better overall.
My son and his friend's favorite boba place! Yummy! I'm trying the different boba flavors! He likes the banana one and the strawberry one. My friend likes the rose boba. It's an acquired taste. Tastes fancy and healthy. Great staff! Great place to sit and relax and hang out and shop around after! Thank you guys!
Idk if it's this particular drink but I thought it was pretty average. I still enjoyed it since we worked out before. The boba was slightly hard and it was difficult to chew. Also maybe because it was later in the day, I just felt rushed to order since they were cleaning up? But the location is nice since there's plenty of seating. My friends and I were craving boba and wanted something sweet but I don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately.
the wait time was incredibly long, so we even went over our parking time limit waiting 30 minutes for 2 drinks. i've definitely had better experiences with this location. considering the price, the slow service, high prices, and small sizes mean that i will not be coming back. strawberry matcha: 8/10 hojicha latte: 8/10
We went for the Boba guys X Laneige event and was disappointed by the organization and attitude of the employees. We got there at 9:30 and the Bobo guys did not open until 11, but there were definitely people cutting and saving spots. While it is not the employees fault that the event was not organized, they were rude when we were ordering. I was also disappointed that they kept us waiting in between orders since everyone was basically only getting one drink. They also would not let us make any modifications to the drink. While me and my friend just missed the free full sized product, we were handed a small sample. I was also disappointed to see that some drinks were poorly made, especially since we waited so long. The drink itself wasn't bad, just really sweet. I liked that it was made with coconut milk, but the toasted coconut on top tasted like plastic and seemed to be there just as a decorative touch. Overall I would not trust this Boba guy's location. It's definitely not the same quality. I've tried at other locations. Also, the location is like an outdoor stand in the middle of a wind tunnel, so it's freezing cold.
Interesting location. They are on the marina side of 2ND & PCH, like in a tunnel between Noble Bird and Lululemon. It gets super windy, especially in the evenings. There's plenty of seating if you want to linger. The large aardvark logo on the white brick walls is a good background for drink pictures. Not counting the short-lived Our Place pop-up, this is my least favorite Boba Guys. Drink standards and boba texture isn't as consistent compared to what I've gotten at their other cafes. I liked Classic Black when I first went several years ago. Recently, not as much. Too much ice, the sugar percentages are off, or the tea just isn't there. The toppings on my last visit were solid like rocks. I tried the Strawberry Fields and it was boring. The Horchata was watery. I didn't think the caramel and matcha latte combination went well together. So I'll probably stick to their other locations.
Hong Kong milk tea was strong, not too sweet (100% sweetness, extra tea) and it really hot the spot. I love that the staff taking our orders was also very friendly and helpful. It was my first time getting boba guys and I'm not sure if the drinks are going to be overly sweet or not. So she recommended getting 100% sweetness, with extra tea. Great recommendation! Plenty of seats and there's even a grassy area, which I guess is meant for kids/dogs.
I've been coming here since it opened. It's conveniently located so you can grab your favorite to sip on while shopping at 2nd and PCH. My usual go to is a matcha latte and I sometimes switch it up to the matcha strawberry. The boba is chewy yet not too soft. The ube latte is sweet with coconut milk. They also have non caffeinated drinks for kids!
This is my favorite boba place! I like this location better than the one in Costa Mesa; it's at 2nd/PCH and is more of a kiosk/stand than a full shop. I live a bit too far to drive there just for a drink, but sometimes I order it through Doordash or I just HAVE to stop by when I'm at the mall for lunch, shopping, or Whole Foods. The seating is casual outdoors but covered. Service is fine and unremarkable; I haven't encountered anything notable in my many times there. My favorite is the jasmine green milk tea, but you can't go wrong with the classic black, strawberry jasmine tea, lychee oolong tea, or any of the milk teas or fruit frescas really. The drinks and boba are simply the best!!
I've had their drinks before but it's been awhile since I'm usually not in the area as often. I asked for recommendations and the lady up at the front was friendly and offering her preferences. I ended up choosing the Mango Sticky Rice drink as it was a seasonal item. I enjoyed the purple rice topping included in it.

Tried the drink for the first time and it was great! The bitterness of the black tea was complimented by the sweet caramel and boba. Boba texture was great too, not too soft. I also like the paper straws and the choices of oat or almond milk. Great place, very casual! read more

Stephan was incredible at helping me choose what drink to get as I was having such a hard time choosing between Ube Matcha or Matchata. He was so patient, knowledgeable, and honest. He made the Matchata sound delicious, I ended up getting it and loved it. The marriage of horchata and Matcha blew my taste buds away. Wasn't sure if I'd like cinnamon mixed with my Matcha as I already love the earthy flavor of Matcha alone, but the way they concocted the drink was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet! And humbly appreciated the Ube Matcha taste. Thank you Stephan for the hospitable amazing service and opening my tastebuds to a whole new world of Matchata! read more
Must get the brown sugar hojicha milk tea with oat milk! I love that you can substitute milk for non-dairy without extra cost. They also sell some yummy looking pastries and snacks to go with your drink. Located at the south end of 2nd and PCH complex. It gets windy because they're on the marina side. read more

1st time coming to Boba Guys and Love It!! The staff are friendly and professional along with the environment being clean and welcoming. I personally ordered a Strawberry Matcha Latte which is the green drink and omg what a burst of delicious flavor, looking forward to coming back. read more
After hearing about Boba Guys so much from my friends I've finally had the opportunity to try it! I must say, this is probably one of the best boba places that I've been to. I ordered the Strawberry Tea Fresca ($4 for 16 oz) with Tapioca Balls (50 cents). I'm not a fan of milky bobas so this was the only specialty drink that they offer without milk. However, I do appreciate that they give you the option to build your own drink with choices of almond milk, oat milk, or no milk in addition to regular milk. It's a bummer that they don't let you change the milk in the specialty drinks though. I really liked the drink that I ordered! I'm pretty sure they just use a strawberry syrup flavoring but you still get the taste of tea with it as well. The boba is the perfect texture of soft and chewy, and has the taste of honey to it. By far one of the best boba I've had. Service was good. The guy at the front counter seemed like he just wanted to get his shift over with though. Once we ordered, the drinks came out really fast. There wasn't much of a line when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon but it still moved pretty quickly for us. They're willing to adjust the drink any way once you get your order, which is nice. A bonus for me here is that they use paper straws, even for their boba straws! I still used my metal straw that I always carry around, but their use of environmentally friendly straws are very much appreciated. Boba Guys is some of my friends' favorite boba places, and I can see why. The drinks are good, and the boba seems freshly made. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be dropping by here again. read more
Honestly my new favorite boba place. It's 20 minutes away but the drive is worth it. I go here often now for my boba fix. It's soooo good that I recommend all my friends and family to go here. I love eating shake shack and then going here for a drink. My favorite is the Korean banana milk, I always get it. It's creamy and banana-y and super unique but in a good way. there's the creamy taste of oat from the oat-ly milk. I'm actually addicted to it and thinking about it makes me want to get it right now. My friends and family usually gets the strawberry matcha, which is really good too. I would get that drink if I weren't so addicted to the Korean banana milk. Finally a Boba Guys in the area. I was more than thrilled when I came to 2nd & PCH to check it out on grand opening day and found this gem. Usually my BF and I will make the drive to LA for their goodness. Not anymore. Located by their parking structure nearby lululemon is this outdoor covered boba place. I can even bring my doggies to it. I usually go for their popular Strawberry Matcha Latte with oat milk and it is always consistently delicious. The staff was amazing and drinks came out fast. I wanted boba and this is the closest to where I was at the time. I went out on a limb and got the Korean Banana Milk even though I don't really like bananas. I wasn't pleasantly surprised it had the same flavor as another banana flavored dessert (Creamies) that I enjoy. The boba had good flavor and wasn't cold or hard to chew like a lot of places have. I liked the oat milk a lot, more than I expected to. I would be glad to have that be the new standard. It wasn't as sweet as milk, which I liked, and was a bit more viscous maybe? Idk but I liked it. I'm always welcome to more boba nearby. Boba Guys was great, and I'm looking forward to try more of their offerings. read more

Decent boba. They have a few signature boba flavors like strawberry matcha, Korean banana milk, ube latte etc. which are all great. I feel like their non-signature items are pretty lacking though. Their regular black milk tea and horchata milk tea both taste watered down which was disappointing. The actual tapioca pearls themselves though are soft and chewy, and they offer free oat milk so that's a bonus. I'd say if you come here, stick with the popular variations at this boba shop-- they're popular for a reason! read more

Strawberry Tea Fresca A combination of strawberries blended with Jasmine Green Tea. You guys,, this is gonna be my fav summer drink from there! It's incredibly refreshing, light, and perfectly sweet for me. Jasmine Green Milk Tea w Boba Green milk tea made with Tea People jasmine green tea blend. As stated on their website, it's floral and silky and I have to agree! My usual order from Boba Guys is their Matcha Latte as it is so smooth, perfectly sweetened with their honey, and is strong of matcha! I'm glad I'm trying other things on their menu and can't wait to go back to try more! read more

Boba guys has a unique tea concept that is refreshing and captivating to newcomers like me. Located conveniently in 2nd & PCH, boba guys is a small boba shop that attracts the biggest of crowds. There is a not a huge selection of drinks, which means that their few specialty drinks are assumed to be at top notch quality and taste. To my surprise, they were not. Though "boba guys" is a trendy and popular name, the drinks such as strawberry tea fresca and thai tea were nothing too special. The boba itself was a bit hard and did not maintain a perfect degree of chewiness like many other places. You can join the hype by having your instagrammable experience here, but boba guys will not satisfy your taste buds like a 5 star boba shop would. Big shoutout to them for using paper straws to preserve our environment! read more
Hooray! I'm super happy that they opened bobaguys here in Long Beach. I go to Long Beach often because of my job so I can go there. So far I like their boba the best. Choices of non dairy milk is also great for vegans and also I like their boba is so tasty and perfect. I tried strawberry matcha and also tried black sesame. This location I tried Uji. It's a new fashion mall and close to lululemon. Can't wait to visit next time again!!! read more
cool spot to get some boba. Quite windy and chilly in the tunnel area. Had the mango fresca with boba. delicious on a hot day. Not overly sweet. Sweetness is not adjustable either way. Honestly I'm glad that Boba Guys is a little far enough away from me that I won't try to get all the time (even though I did go about 4 times in 3 weeks). Their boba is SO good! The perfect amount of soft and chewy. Normally a wintermelon tea or honey green milk tea kind of gal, I'm absolutely in love with the matcha here! So darn good, also very glad that they have varying sweetness levels for the matcha. Since Long Beach has been very cold lately, getting the warm matcha is perfect to walk around the new plaza of 2nd & PCH with. For your instagram worthy post the strawberry matcha latte is a very solid choice. You can't change the sweetness on it though. To help it's located across the Warby Parker store and behind Lululemon in a kind of hidden hallway. You order at an outdoor counter and all the seating is outside. VERY quick and friendly service, even when the lines are a little long it goes by fast. HIGHLY recommend - so happy to have quality boba in Long Beach now when I visit my family! read more
Got the ube and liked it but didn't love it. Tasted sort of homemade but not in the best way. It also seems like a weird decision to offer a not-very-sweet boba (which I actually like!) but not the ability to adjust the sweetness level. Decent boba but I think I need to try some other flavors. read more
Great location on 2nd and PCH! I love the plaza that it's located in because you can just chill and relax sipping on your boba next to the marina with cool outdoor decor and artwork. Parking: theres a parking structure in that plaza that has 90 minutes of free parking BUT if you keep driving past the plaza and turn right onto N. Studebaker Rd and then right onto E. Marina Dr. there is a row of parking spots that is 2 hours for free right in front of the store I ordered online before coming and my drinks were ready for me upon pick up! Nice and friendly worker who handed me the drinks. I am disappointed with the quality of drinks at this location.... I've had it several times in SF and it was amazing, but somehow the drinks here aren't up to par. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea and it was more watered down and not the strong tea flavor I was use to in SF. I decided to also order the GRAB&GO drinks to be spontaneous lol I chose the POG with Slanted Oolong Jelly bottle and the Hong Kong Style Bottle. They were okay. Nothing special. And the bottle is cheaply made.... The caps slip off easily or move around causing them to spill! The bottles spilled inside my car since I placed it in an insulated tote bag to keep cool :/ read more

So excited that there is one closer to us now! The strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and boba is my go to! My boyfriend loves their jasmine milk tea, the flavor of their tea is so clean and intense! And the boba is always fresh and delicious!! Highly recommend if you are in Long Beach! There are lots of boba shop on Long Beach but this is one of the best!! read more

BEST MATCHA LATTE I've ever had ! I came to this spot because my boyfriend knows the owner and honestly did not expect it to be so good. I ordered the matcha latte with Strawberry Puree and the drink tasted legit gourmet. I have tried so many matcha lattes from so many places but this drink took the cake! The puree is actual mashed strawberries instead of super sweet syrup which literally changes the game . The staff was also super helpful and friendly, I'll definitely be back. read more
This place is awesome, Definitely on my top 2 boba places in Long Beach, Beverage wise: I've tried the strawberry matcha, the banana drink they have a long with their strawberry jasmine and it is all very very good. Specially the strawberry jasmine. Pricing is standard to any boba place. I think the large runs up to like $7. The staff is super friendly. No complaints there. I ordered something I ended up not being able to drink and they exchanged it for free without any faces or hesitation and even though i offered to pay again. In regards to parking:: there are 2 huge lots. 1 of which gives u 90 minutes for free near whole foods so you should always find parking even if it's a busy day. Would I return? Yes I already have. Love the quality of the boba! I should've gotten the milk tea instead of the strawberry matcha latte. The flavor is nice and different but guess I'm not use to that taste. Overall, a really good boba spot and will definitely come back to try their milk tea boba. read more
Been wanting to try Boba Guys, so I was excited when I saw one near my cousins' place when I was visiting. Placed an order online on their website. I only order fruit teas, and there weren't many fruity teas on the menu at this time. So, I ordered the only two fruit drinks they had that weren't either milky or creamy: the Strawberry Tea Fresca and the Spiced Pear Cider. There was two option sizes, 16 oz and 24 oz. Of course I went for the 24 oz for both, and added tapioca. I also ordered a can of Recess in the Pom Hibiscus flavor, since I have been wanting to try this drink. And ordered a few different milk teas for my cousins. The Strawberry Tea Fresca and Spiced Pear Cider were good. Refreshing and not to sweet. I definitely want to come back and try the new flavors I have seen recently added to the menu. read more

Located at a corner inside 2nd & PCH, Long Beach, Boba Guys has been famous for their high-quality drinks. The store is small but still has solid decoration that shows the spirit of this brand. I ordered Hong Kong milk tea, with less sweet (75% sugar) and almond pudding (they called almond jelly on the menu, but I think the texture is similar to almond pudding). I love this combination since the pudding has a hint of almond flavor but not too strong that could drown the taste of tea. Also, the Hong Kong style milk tea was on point, not too bitter, but still had the tea aroma captured. One huge compliment that I want to make is that Boba Guys replace all the single-use plastic straws with sustainable bamboo straw. With this thoughtful movement for the environment, this brand surely will have many supports from the community. read more
Located in the fancy Whole Foods plaza. Easily can be missed since it's inside the mall plaza. The menu of this location is strictly simplistic. Unlike the one in SF. I ordered the green milk tea with 50% sweetness with almond milk. I really like it since the almond is lighter. The almond milk doesn't over power the drink. I also had my boyfriend's green milk tea with dairy milk, which is pretty good too! read more

Can I order a drink and request no ice? I don't want to take the drink home and it becomes watered down.
I definitely think so, considering they were more than willing to accommodate other things for the drink. They also ask you very specific details about how you want to customize your drink or if you want to, so I'm sure no ice is a possibility.
