We stopped by Teofilo Coffee Company because they were hosting a Cars & Coffee event, and it was such a great morning! There was an awesome turnout of cars, and the atmosphere was welcoming and fun for both car enthusiasts and coffee lovers. Since I'm a huge pandan fan, I had to try the Pandan Iced Latte for my very first pandan latte experience, and it was an easy 10/10. If you enjoy pandan, I highly recommend this drink--the flavor came through perfectly and paired so well with the coffee. We also grabbed the Mango Cake Cream Bar, which was incredibly soft, light, and bursting with fresh mango flavor. It was the perfect sweet treat alongside the latte.The service was just as great as the food and drinks. Everyone was friendly, kind, and welcoming, which made the experience even better Between the great coffee, delicious pastries, and the fun Cars & Coffee event, Teofilo made for a fantastic visit. Teofilo!!! I was very excited when Teofilo had found its way into Long Beach. The coffee shop was super clean, wide open with lots of natural light and lots of seating. I ordered an iced turon latte and it was legitimately one of the best lattes I have ever had in my life. Sweet, filling, and low-key addictive. You can tell that there was a lot of consideration taken as they crafted this drink. This part of Naples has needed a real coffee shop for a while, and Teofilo is it. Filipino coffee is still rare in the States compared to Filipino desserts, and this is the real thing, sourced from Filipino farms, with a milder, less acidic profile than what most people are used to (a plus for anyone prone to acid reflux). My favorites are the pandan latte, which has a coconut-vanilla flavor from pandan leaves, and the Turon latte, which leans into a deep, almost caramelized banana-foster note. Milk substitutions come at no extra charge, which I appreciate as a regular oat milk drinker. Service is a mixed bag. With just one or two employees on staff, they're solid at taking orders and moving the line, but drinks frequently come out wrong... not because the order was mistaken, but because it gets lost between the register and the recipe process keeping it all in their head. A visible order screen or ticket system (like Starbucks uses) would fix this. It's less an employee problem than a systems problem. The coffee is good enough that I'd keep coming back even through the occasional mixed-up order, but first impressions matter, and the space itself needs work. The all-white walls and exposed ceiling give it a clinical white marble feel ironic, given that Starbucks manages to feel cozier despite being a chain. Warmer wood tones and comfortable seating would go a long way, especially for anyone wanting to post up and work for a few hours; right now it functions more as a grab-and-go spot. Located on Second Street in Naples, this is an exciting newish Philippine inspired coffee shop. They serve a variety of coffees indigenous to the Philippines, that they roast and sell...by the cup or bag of beans . The shop is large, with ample free parking. It is light filled with seating indoors and out. The staff are very friendly and welcoming...and knowledgeable about what's brewing. I really wanted to like this place but the drinks and pastries fell really short for me. I tried their turon latte and it was basically just a regular latte with a banana chip on top. It didn't really taste anything like banana. The flavored coffee they had out for a free taste test tasted better even without cream or sugar. I also had their Nutella croissant and it was a big portion and had lots of Nutella spread packed into it but it was just way too messy and overwhelming to eat. The vibe was also kinda weird because their space is huge but it was so quiet in there, it felt awkward to talk because everyone would hear your conversation. Pricing was a bit odd too because the prices on the menu are listed but when you look at your receipt, it breaks down what they charge you, down to the flavored syrup if I recall (which I would assume is already incorporated into the full price for a flavored latte?). I'm all for transparency but the way it was presented was just something different to me. read more

This was our first visit to Teofilo Coffee since meeting the owner, roaster, and CEO, Ron Dizon, at San Diego's World of Coffee (WOC) 2026 event several months ago. In fact, this Long Beach location was either opening the very next day or the following week after we met him. At the WOC event, we purchased a few bags of their coffee (Barako & Fine Robusta) and loved them so much that we had to come back for more. Unfortunately, Ron wasn't there during our Saturday visit, according to the two female baristas working at the time. We picked up more bags of the same whole bean coffees and wish they were sold in 1-pound bags because we'll go through the 250-gram bags very quickly. Their pastries were well portioned overall, but unfortunately the pandesal was not. It looked more like a mini pandesal and wasn't what we're accustomed to in San Diego, both in size or value. The coffee shop itself was clean, spacious, inviting, and a great place to enjoy quality coffee, work remotely, or study. Parking was easy during our visit, though I could see it becoming challenging during peak hours. Their restroom was also clean and well maintained. We want to wish Ron and everyone at Teofilo Coffee the very best. Their coffee beans are delicious and make excellent espresso! So excited to have more Filipino presence in the LB food scene! The space feels relatively new and you can tell they're still finding their footing, but we stopped by on Mother's Day unsure what the vibe was going to be. It looked like they may be setting up for a special event or small pop up inside, and we didn't stay long enough to see what it would be, but the service was quick and so efficient that we didn't need to wait long. The strawberry matcha with almond milk was DELICIOUS. Not too sweet, but still the perfect berry bev. Stopped to eat at a local cafe when I saw a sign that read, "Filipino Coffee" then I recognized the logo: Teofilo!!! I was happily surprised to find Teofilo on 2nd Street in Long Beach! This is a great location with ample parking space and friendly staff! Ordered a latte and some ube cookies. They have other pastries from a local Filipino bakery (Gemma) and a local Italian bakery (Nonna's), so I very much appreciate these collaborations! The shop is very intentional and beautiful, I love the openness of the coffee bar. Lots of great options for drinks on the menu. Bit of an odd spot but I kind of like that about it. I was intrigued to try Teofilo coffee because it was a new business in Long Beach. The barista Nadia explained to me that all the coffee beans are ethically sourced from the Philippines and let me sample beans that are only found in the Philippines -- how cool! There were many unique options on the menu, many things that I have never heard of. I ended up settling on the matcha with oatmilk and it was delicious. I attended a paid event that included a $10 credit for food & drink, however the staff refused to honor that and would not serve me food for my $10. Since I don't drink coffee or tea they pocketed my $10. The ambience is severely lacking, the space felt like my work office lunchroom. The bathroom has no mirror. Where to start...I first learned about Teofilo coffee (and her founder/CEO Ron) through a sponsored event (need to be careful otherwise the AI will reject this review) a while back. That's where I learned about his passion to bring the history, knowledge, and product of foffee in the Philippines to the States, specifically the South Bay area (LA County). So my wife and I were excited to follow the progress of the opening of the second permanent location, this one on Naples Island in Long Beach. So on a sunny Tuesday LBC morning, my wife got her partial barkada together (with me tagging along) and made a visit (they open at 07:00 daily). There was plenty of parking in the shared Island Center surface lot. It's a pretty large space inside, so people can spread out and do some work without feeling bad that they are hogging space. It's a typical coffee house set-up, with the front counter being manned by two baristas. The friendly chief-exec was running his business in the dining area, so we stopped by to say 'Hi'. While my wife continued the conversation, I went ahead and ordered/paid. Both baristas were friendly and offered recommendations, which I gladly took. Got a iced Ube matcha latte ($6 + $1 for iced + $1 for added Ube). The taste of Ube is everywhere these days, but all of us agreed that it was a contender for top ube drink that we've ever had...mixing Ube with matcha really worked. And we got it with lactose free whole milk...a game changer...not sure why more businesses don't offer that option. The mango dream ($7 + $1 for iced) was much less successful, very sweet, a bit artificial tasting. Some of the pastries are from Gemma's (a business we love), and others baked fresh from a local bakery (didn't catch the name). The morning bun ($5) was very good, easily splitable like a cinnamon roll without the cinnamon. After that success, went back up to order a nutella filled giant croissant...so good, filled with so much melty nutella. If I had to do again, I would get another normal croissant, and dip it in the overflowing Nutella from the first one. Very shareable...but only if you want to! As mentioned, everyone was super friendly and helpful. The main four Filipino roasted coffees are offered as self-serve samples, leading you to the lesser known (but well worth) journey that is coffee from the Philippines. And as Ron said in response to a positive FB post from my mother-in-law, "Lola approved? That's when you know it's real...". Love it! read more

Very cute, bright, spacious and clean cut coffee places. It took over the bank and workout place and make it into a relax, chill vibe place for some Filipino coffee and pastries. It's also perfect place to work and do homework since they have a big seating area with big table to catering. Small menu but plenty to choose from, there are fresh pastries too. Walked by this place this morning and it was newly opened. It felt very bare minimum and the coffee wasn't tasty at all. It is located next to a breakfast place so I hope that draws enough people for them. I don't review often, and if I do it's either really good or really bad. I walked down the street to try this new shop and unfortunately this place was a big let down. At first we got an Ube matcha, I took 4 sips and immediately did not like the seaweed flavor. The strawberry matcha was even worse and I tossed in the trash after 6 sips even after shaking it pretty good. My mouth was stuck with a synthetic aftertaste that water couldn't flush down. All I can say is either step it up on the matchas or just get rid of it. I know yall are new and I know I'm probably not gonna be the only one saying this. I was excited to try out this newer spot on a late Saturday morning because I live nearby. The availability of Ube lattes and pastries are enticing. So it is worth trying. The service up front is good. However, the backside service is a different story. When I kindly asked the barista for extra ice after we already had our lattes, she got visibly irritated and became condescending (even with other customers watching). Mind you, that was my first time asking her for something extra. I do not think I am out of line at all, with this request. Also the 15 minute wait time for lattes is a bit too long. The Naples Long Beach area is an upscale neighborhood and requires better than average service, to say the least. This needs to be corrected because we want Teo to continue being here. read more
