TL;DR - New matcha series (delicious and unique flavors). Really really pretty drinks. Popcorn chicken and sticky chicken bites are delicious appetizers. Charbroiled ribeye is a must! Get less sweet for your drink here if you normally do that at any other place! I'm so glad I finally got to try this place out. They got a lot of options on their food and drink menus. The thing that stands out about this place is their drinks. They're really really pretty lol (and delicious of course). The food was good and they got the classic appetizers one would hope to find at a milk tea store. Their entrees are awesome too! The drinks that we really enjoyed were their new matcha series. The screaming strawberry matcha milk tea was really good. The cookie butter matcha milk tea was my favorite. I have a soft spot for biscoff cookies and this one was just... so good lol. The screaming blueberry matcha milk tea is a must for blueberry lovers. You don't typically find this flavor, so it was really cool to try it out. NOTE: the drinks run on the slightly sweeter side so if you usually get less/50%/30% sugar in your drinks, then definitely do that here as well. I was happy to see they have popcorn chicken! It's a classic milk tea store appetizer. Their sticky chicken bites were also good (sweeter version). The charbroiled ribeye was my favorite. I love ribeye lol The service was quick and the staff were so friendly. Ambiance is nice. There is inside and outside seating. Good place to study and hang out with friends if that's what you're looking for!

Came here on a lunch break with the ladies, we all ordered a smoothie and a selection of their sides, the popcorn chicken is a must, so juicy (thigh meat) and the coating is light and crispy. The gyoza, is also very tasty, nice and crispy on one side and soft on the other, so good! The calamari, did have a fishy taste and was rubbery, not my fav, it was crispy from the coating, but would not do it again. The mozzarella sticks looked promising, but the cheese pull was not present, and the coating lacked seasoning. The smoothies were outstanding, glad I made it a large. We had the strawberry banana and my friend had the pina colada, which she loved. We will be back to try more of the sides and a different flavor drink. Service was great, and the music selection was relaxing.

I tried Thai coffee with boba and it was good. This place has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating space. Parking can be little tricky with lot of other small businesses in the same complex, but there is McDonald and neighborhood Walmart close by. Service was good. Being there for first time, we took some time to order but the server was helpful. They do offer a variety of drink and food options.

Black tea milk tea is very milky. Not as rich in color and flavor as before.

Love the tea and the boba. The only thing I've noticed is that the tea appears to be a bit lighter in color and flavor as well. I usually get a black tea milk tea. It was usually a caramel brown color, now it looks very milky. The flavor is there, but not as strong as before. The girls working there are friendly.

This place has completely tanked. Overpriced garbage--flavorless, dry, burnt popcorn chicken drowning in so much Cajun seasoning it tastes like regret. Portions shrank, which is honestly a blessing; more of this trash would be a war crime. Boba? Just ice water with a sad whisper of color. Used to be my spot. Now? Total letdown. Stay away

Absolutely love this place! I've been coming since it first opened. I used to live within walking distance and would visit all the time, especially when they had the punch-hole point card system. My siblings and I loved stopping by to play board games because the atmosphere was always so welcoming and fun. As for the drinks, I haven't explored much of the menu since I usually stick to my go-to, the classic Thai tea frappe 5/5. However, I've brought many friends who have tried a variety of drinks, and they always rave about them. Here are my personal ratings: * Lavender Lemonade - 5/5, absolutely love it. * Lavender Milk Tea - 4/5, reminds me of Froot Loops milk. * Me No Pink Lemonade - 5/5, tart and refreshing. * Matcha with Brown Sugar - 0/5, not for me--I ended up tossing it when I got home. * Sweet Potato Fries- 4/5, first time trying them here and loved them. * Popcorn Chicken - 5/5, this is my go to. The chicken is crunchy and well seasoned and the sauce is so good. * Jalapeño Poppers- 4/5, good, but nothing special. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to an experience when the business was still fairly new. I had requested a small modification to my drink (I don't recall if it was a syrup or an add-in), but the owner or drink maker wouldn't allow any changes. Other than that, everything has been great!

I have missed the Whittier location so muchh I passed by Downey and saw the sign and decided to come by!! The environment is nice and clean, staff were friendly and kind. And of course the boba is AMAZINGG as always. I decided to try out the " Up All Night" drink and it was bomb 10/10 must try for all the coffee lovers out there!!

This boba place is so cute. You can place your order through their kiosk machine, however if you have any questions staff will definitely help. Place is alway clean and one of my fav places to get a strawberry green tea.

There is plenty of parking, so that wasn't an issue. I love the overall aesthetics of the shop. It is pretty clean and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I might even say that it would be a good place to study/work. You are able to order from a self-service kiosk or with a person if you'd like. I got the Traffic Light, and I would say that it was pretty sweet overall. There is a variety of options to choose from, so I would definitely try a different drink next time. I would say that the Traffic light drink was quite refreshing and did have great flavor to it. The Traffic light drink has 3 layers to it - strawberry, mango, and apple jelly. The apple jelly I could have done without, as it was quite too sweet for me.My favorite layer was the mango layer. I would definitely come back.

What's up: Just finished up a volunteer event nearby to plant some trees and had a craving for boba. My coworker recommended checking out Boba Indeed since it was in the area. Parking: Parking is shared among the nearby businesses but there was plenty of open spots to choose from. Environment: Walking in, you'll see the self order kiosk on the right. You can place your order there or go up to the counter and talk to a staff member. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They had loud music playing so it was hard to have a conversation. No restrooms available. When your order is ready, a staff member will call your name. What was ordered: - Jasmine Green Tea with Boba (light tea flavor, not very sweet. Boba is decent) Yay/Nay/Meh: Meh. I was expecting more tea flavor but the drink tasted very milky. Boba was ok. Credit cards and Apple Pay accepted.

I don't know why this has lower stars. Their drinks and snacks are delicious! For me, their calamari was a star. It was on the salty side, but it was so addicting and so flavorful. I can't wait to get more. Their coconut taro with pudding drink was also great.

Like that there is a fast boba shop in Downey area. It was hot this summer and why not get some tea drinks to go. So the place is right next to McDonalds so got to make sure you make a quick turn or you will have to loop around the street neighborhood. Space is small but they got the front street entrance which isn't hard to miss. I ordered three drinks and the hostess was really helpful and jovial. We laugh at the name of "sun of a peach" which is a great drink if you do order it. I ordered Milk tea, a mango slush and a three colored smoothie drink. All refreshing and definitely worth returning.

This is a really nice cafe in Downey. They have free wifi, many snacks and nice boba. The boba menu is great. The smoothie and fruit tea are nice too. I think the standard menu is a bit too sweet for me. The snacks are like frozen snacks and took out to fry. Staff was very nice. Clean restroom. Great vibes for working or chatting.

Boba Indeed just opened right next to where I go get my haircut on a weekly basis. My boyfriend and I decided to try it one day after we got our haircuts and it was delicious. Im so glad to finally have a delicious Boba location in our neighborhood. They have a large variety of drinks and a nice modern setting to hang out and chat it up. LoL! It was my first time here today so I wasn't sure what to order lady at the front desk was really friendly and patient and didn't make me feel rushed she recommended me a dirty horchata frappe was so DELICIOUS! Stumbled across this place while looking for some waffles. We ordered 2 one story waffles and they were delicious! They have various toppings to choose from make them and they also make them on the spot so the waffle is still warm when you get it. It's a small place but it looks very nice and clean. They have a lot of different choices on their (literally lol) huge menu, I will be back to try something else :). read more

Sigh. I really wanted so badly to like this place, since especially it would be so much closer to drive here than to Monterey Park! But unfortunately, I think that the place could serve better boba. The menu is confusing at a glance, so you'd have to study it a little, and when I got my order (rose milk tea) I was pretty disappointed. It tasted more like chocolate milk instead of the Rose milk tea I'm expecting. I'll give this place one more try, but hopefully it will be better next time. read more

After waiting what seemed like forever at the post office, I decided I needed something sweet to drink after all that stress. I sought out yelp for help and found this place nearby. The outside seems a little bit confusing but just walk in. It looks like your typical hipster boba shop with some greenery to liven up the small place. I ordered a regular horchata milk tea with boba. It was a little bit pricey but when you ask for light ice, you'll get your money's worth. The boba was okay. It was a little bit inconsistent. There were some bits that were hard and some bits that were soggy as if it was cooked unevenly. The horchata milk tea wasn't too over powering but that bothered me were the weird grainy particles that were floating at the bottom near the boba. They seemed like rice granules or bits of cinnamon. Every time I took a sip and swallowed, it felt like I was swallowing sand. It was a-okay. Nothing really stood out to me. read more

I think this might be my new favorite boba place to go to and the sign on the floor as you walk up top order says it all "heaven for boba addicts" They have so many options besides slush and milk teas. I most definitely keep coming back to this place even if it's a little of a drive. read more

This place will never answer the phone. I was ordering from the website and it switched my location to this store instead of Whittier. I've tried numerous of attempts to contact them but will not answer. When I googled boba Whittier, I selected the Whittier location off google, it said Whittier but for some reason took me straight to the Downey location without me knowing. read more

I wish I can give 5 stars because I really like their drinks and the atmosphere. BUT their customer service SUCKS!! They NEVER pick up the phone, like ever, even if it's slow. And they apparently change the oil to cook their food during business hours, so they won't even bother making you the food. read more

First time coming to Boba Indeed, was not welcomed or acknowledged. Menu does not match what was online. When I asked for specific items, they were not available. The cashier was rude and was not helpful. I had to figure out the (dirty) menu on my own. Once I realized there was nothing I wanted, I left. The store looked nothing like the yelp pictures, which was surprising. She mentioned that the items I asked for have not been served for over two years, which tells me that they seriously need to update AND upgrade. Store was not clean and looked unorganized. I will never return or recommend this place indeed. read more

I really like this place so far. I love their selection of drinks and now feature desserts that I will start trying out as well. So far I have not been disappointed by this place. My favorite drink is the Japanese Green milk tea and I also love love Love their Oreo milk shake. Everything seems fresh to me. The boba is squishy and yummy. And I like their taste as other places I have tried have drinks that are typically too sweet. Although I visit this spot about once a week and I love it, I have a feeling it's going to hurt my wallet being a boba fan. I give 4 stars because I really like it and I know they are trying to grow and they have a lot to work with, but I'd like a rewards option offered at some point. I noticed they got the donuts sign finally taken down so I am happy that they get to advertise for themselves now. Yay! I will most likely revise this after I explore the menu more. :) read more

This place used to be my go to place for boba when they opened. The prices were affordable. Now they have increased their prices to up $2 on their drinks. Their size super drinks used to be around $3.40, then it was $4 something. Now it's $5 plus cents. Your drinks are good but not worth $5 +. That's too much for a boba drink. I'd rather go to Starbucks for that price and get coffee out of it. They need to lower their prices to a more reasonable price or they will loose all their usual clientele Sharetea is a good boba place to go to and their largest drinks go for $4-$4.25 and they've been in business for more than 3 yrs. Will not be coming to this place to pay for a $5 drink. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. my husband and I used to live in Downey and would always past by. But never really went inside. Tonight I got together with some friends and this is the place we met up. I got the holy coco which I was uncertain with but decided to go forward because of the good reviews. And it was no disappointment. I also had their pop corn chicken and it was delicious. I am enjoying a great big cup of taro frappe with tapioca boba and popping lychee. Well you can go wrong with taro, but it IS delicious. The customer service is excellent and it is about a five minute walking distance from my house I'm in heaven and oh so happy to have boba this close. Great place to go. Come check them out !! read more

My friends told me about this place and a bunch of other friends put it on their snapchat stories and Instagram. After all the hype I heard and saw about this place, I decided to try it. I got a small Thai tea with boba. I guess it was a miss for me. The Thai tea tasted more like milk, the boba balls were small, and boba was too soft. Boba that's too soft doesn't have much flavor and feels kinda weird in the mouth. Also, when you order it seems like they have so much ice in the kitchen that they're trying to get rid of because half the damn cup was filled with ice. Although it's a small place and there isn't much seating, they have a nice and kinda dark environment and there is outdoor seating. It's kinda hard to see the place at night because their signage isn't lit up and it's brown so that's kind of a double whammy. The service is great and the workers are nice. The parking lot is pretty good too. Hopefully next time I come it's better because I don't want to pay $3.60 for a small cup of orange milk and soft boba. read more

A really good boba place in Downey. It may look big in the pictures but it's pretty small inside. The sign outside says "Angel's donuts " that's why we got lost the first time we checked it out. A good tip: it's next to a Mc Donalds. I've tried their 'Avocado Love Affair" it's made with real avocados but it's not sweet enough for me. I also tried their thai iced tea with boba which is pretty good. The sizes are pretty big which is great. read more

Well to start off this review , I felt like the girl attending my party lacked customer service . She was just sitting on her chair , yawning . When it come to the drinks , only my sister liked her strawberry lemonade . But I wasn't a big fan of her drink (couldn't taste the strawberry) My boyfriend I believed purchased a frappe (forgot the flavor) but he didn't even finish it .! He threw it away along with my sister throwing away her lemonade . I didn't like the taste of the boba it tasted old . We do go to ALOT of boba places because we are fans of boba. And we just felt like this store doesn't have quality drinks . Could today been an off day? Hey , maybe . But I won't come back anytime soon, I'll make the drive to Boba Loca. read more

Cute little place. Hard to spot, but RIGHT NEXT TO MCDONALD'S. Still waiting on sign permit and a few more decorations. They play great music too! Now to the drinks: I've tried the SNOW MILK with Thai Tea pudding, I'm a Barbie Girl CREATION, and the Holy Coco CREATION. All were absolutely delicious! ***Far more interesting and tasty selections than Boba Time and Cha2o. Can't wait to try more! read more

While this place looks like it will be a great new favorite place to go to, it comes up short on being successful. Their menu right off the bat became a problem. They have so many options for drinks and food and dessert that it quickly becomes overwhelming. I tried their regular milk tea and it's nothing special. What really made me dislike this place though, is their parfait. While I appreciate them making it aesthetically pleasing, it is not worth getting. It's a nice idea and it is creative however the taste and flavors they have are way too artificial. I couldn't get past a quarter way done before wanting to toss the rest. The taste of it is so displeasing that it totally turns me off to this place and makes me want to not try anything else off the menu. What I thought would be my new "go to" boba place ended up just being a disappointment. read more

I walked in today craving their popcorn chicken. Unfortunately couldn't make it because they were changing the oil. For what i know, you're not suppose to change oil during business hours. I called in the next day to speak with supervisor of course they never answer their calls. read more

Established in 2015.

We are boba addicts that have eventually taken the love of boba to a whole new level. Unlike a lot of boba places where pre mixed powder are used to make drinks, our tea leaves and coffee beans are freshly brewed daily on site. A variety of drinks include floating vanilla cream, milk on the rocks, milk tea, milk frappe, juice slush and flavor tea, just to name a few. On top of our extended drink menu, we also have fresh homemade waffles, small bites, snow ice, parfait’s and hot drinks. Come visit us soon!

I had this spot on my bookmarks for years, so I am glad to finally be able to stop by here. The process was a bit confusing when I first walked in, as there were no employees at the front counter - 2 of them were busy in the back cooking, eating, and talking and the other one was focused on making more boba and the trash, I guess. I did a walkthrough to look at everything, then I came back to the front counter and noticed the signages on the side wall about purchasing a cup first, then adding toppings and filling up your drink, then coming back to the front counter to get your drink sealed by an employee. I waited in line patiently, as the employees were all in the back doing various things, and the guy who was bringing out the boba and changing the trash finally came out. I noted that he was wearing the same gloves he did while taking out the trash and started to ring customers in front of me up and help seal finished boba cups wearing those same dirty gloves. I was disgusted, but since I drove a long way for this spot, I decided to stay, as he is only touching the outside of the cup anyway, and I will just wipe it down later. Anyway, I bought a cup and filled it with some ice, my favorite milk tea - jasmine milk tea, and boba. I do wished that they had a couple other toppings I liked though. I was ready to have my drink sealed and waited patiently for the employee to seal it. Overall, it was a good concept they have going on and it is one of those one time experiences at least for me, but they have to work on their cleanliness because there were 2 employees in the back cooking food for customers while eating themselves while cooking in front of it and the other employee wearing the same gloves doing everything, even when changing / touching the trash.

I visited on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. Service: You can either place your order at the kiosk or at the register. There was only one worker at the time, but she's quick & efficient. Drinks: My go-to lately is the Seaside Green Thai Tea. I really enjoy how their Thai Green Tea tastes. It has a floral, sweet, and strong tea flavor. I sometimes get their coffee. It's strong and does the job. Their menu became a bit overwhelming bc they now offer so many seasonal drinks. Pricing: Krak Boba has their own rewards app. The app is really easy to use. My only pet peeve is how the coupon's expiration works. For ex, if a coupon says it'll expire on 6/16, it will literally expire once it hits midnight of 6/16. I was given a 50% off coupon that expired on 6/16, and of course I visited on 6/16. I didn't realize it already disappeared. Other than that, the app is helpful when mobile ordering, looking at menu items, and receiving points.

That story alone made me smile.I was only there for about 20 minutes, and the place stayed packed the entire time. Part of me wanted to think it was because of that offering money I gave them all those years ago--just kidding! I am utterly disappointed with the service I received today. I ordered my drink and realized it had boba, despite specifying 'no boba' on my receipt. When I informed the employee, she seemed annoyed by the necessary correction. After taking my drink to 'remake it,' I received it and left. However, upon drinking, I discovered boba blended in. When I called the store, I was hung up on twice before finally speaking to someone who seemed unfazed by my frustration. The employee refused to give their name and management and as well. As someone unable to consume boba, this carelessness reflects poorly on the store. It's astonishing that they would use the same drink with boba and blend it, indicating laziness. Thanks to all my asian homies I'm a huge boba addict. I was super excited to see a boba spot opening right across from my house! Plus there was so many good reviews. My friends and I decided to try it out tonight; I knew we should've just went to Zero Express. Man, what a let down! We all ordered a thai ice tea and 1 milk tea. Drinks were completely watered down. I thought maybe it was just me, but my friends agreed. And trust, these guys are asian, they would know haha. The boba wasn't chewy enough for me either.
