I was thirsty and happened to come across this boba shop. Its kind of hidden and the sign isnt very easy to see, it almost blends into the color of the building. There was no one in the shop. We were greeted when we arrived. The shop was clean with a few tables to sit at. I ordered the coffee milk tea with Brown sugar boba. My daughter ordered the pomegranate tea with a popping boba (i forgot what flavor the boba was). It didnt take long to get our order. The coffee was really good. The boba was mushy. Not the consistency I prefer but overall, id def be back for another coffee it was one of the best coffee bobas I have had. My daughter liked her tea as well, but said the same thing the boba was mushy and didnt give her that satisfying pop. Overall, it was worth the stop. Service was nice but for the price of the drinks there should really be a difference in the size of the cups. Small and " medium". The medium was so small i literally thought they gave me the wrong size drink. I wasn't seeing the difference at first. Pretty empty when we were there. It's a basic boba place. There's a TV on the left that plays songs. Service was nice and patient. I noticed on the day I was there with my friend that there was only one worker.. Felt kinda bad for her cause people were waiting. Good thing everyone was just chill about it. How the place is decorated is pretty lame tbh haha. I think they can do a little better. Went here the other day. Everything cleared out so more space for social distancing. We ordered about 5 drinks, it took about 5-10mins for it to be ready. Mine was a thai tea smoothie w boba. The flavor was a bit more mild than im use to. Not bad, just a lil less sweet/rich. The boba didnt have much bite to it, was a bit on the softer side.. i didnt mind so i guess it is a matter of preference. Prices are comparable to other boba spots. I am so glad that there's a boba king close to my house. I am somewhat picky about boba, I hate when they're too soft or too chewy but I trust Boba King to always have the right consistency of boba! I normally get a tea with less sweetener and boba. But today I decided to indulge in a taro slush and it was such a treat! There was one customer ahead of us so it gave me time to look around and browse the menu. They have many flavors of boba and they also have posters displayed on the wall explaining what boba is all about which I think is a great idea! The ordering and wait area was kept clean and well maintained. We ordered a taro and honeydew flavor drink. Received our order within 5 minutes. Overall experience was great! It was mid- November 2021 and I wanted hot tea with boba. It was a bit chilly outside too. The service use to be great. The kids who worked here always had fun. But their boba drinks are still good. They now offer almond milk if you don't or can't do dairy. I like that you can mix the flavors and change the level of sweetness. The drinks are never to super sweet and have the right amount of flavor in each and every flavor drinks we order. Literally can't go wrong with any flavor you choose. From this location we have tried the Mango blended, Red Guava blended, Coffee milk tea, Passionfruit milk tea, Mango Milk tea and none of them disappointed. Also boba is made very well too, they do only add a little for .50 so we tend to have to pay for another small scoop and same with the poppers. The staff is very warm and welcoming, the environment of the establishment is clean. I think one thing they could improve upon is the freshness of their boba. The boba was hard and cold, as if it was sitting out for awhile. Maybe it was because the foot traffic was slow, but that shouldn't be an excuse (again, I'm assuming). I had their wintermelon milk tea, since that's one of my favorite milk tea flavors. It was very watery, even though I asked for 25% sugar. I'm aware wintermelon is a hard thing to distribute with less sugar because it's sweet already as it is. What I should have asked is if they were able to do a green tea substitute to off-set the sweetness of the wintermelon. I also tried the their house boba milk tea, and again it was pretty watery even at 50% sugar. If I had a comparison to how I'd rate this boba place, it would be around the level of Lollicup and Tapioca Express. Overall, I wasn't satisfied with my drink. Again, this is my opinion. Cause there's a bunch of tables lined up to block that area. It's very much the feeling of "get your shit and leave" no places to sit or to even wait at while your order is being made. I gave this place a 4 because of its interior. The floors were as clean and the design was too plain. But for being already 4.5 stars in year I'd say it's a good win for the North. Since I moved down the street, I decided to try it again & I'm SO glad I gave this place another shot. It seems all they needed was time to get their recipes down. Honeydew Milk Tea with boba has been my go-to, Honey Milk Tea is good too...but I just found out you can get PISTACHIO Milk Tea & it is sooo good! I get it with green tea. I thought the only place I can get Pistachio GMT was Brew Tea Bar. Now I don't have to drive down south to get it. If you like pistachios, I highly recommend! I always get 50% sweet in my drinks since they run on the sweet side. Their boba is always just right. The employees are nice as well & abide with COVID restrictions. Boba shops are popping up. This is like 2 minutes away...should be my dream come true? Sadly, no. Drinks tasted way too basic for me. By means of basic...if you've been to other shops that are highly rated along with using premium ingredients, you'll know what I mean. It just screamed "powder" to me. Trick me for goodness sake. Kinda like an introductory spot. If you are new to such shops, you'll love it especially if you have nothing to gauge it against. I'm not knocking them, no no no...I'm just sad that the flavors weren't enough for me to say, sigh...it'll make do. BUT THAT'S JUST ME! We have been to this location twice now and it's absolutely delicious. We have tried about 8 different drinks the two times we have gone and I loved each one. I liked their honey tea with boba, I even requested it when I wasn't feeling well. It's lightly sweetened with a great flavor. Added boba and melon balls to it and I could drink two of them back to back, so good. We have had the honeydew smoothies with boba as well, it wasn't sweet, which I enjoyed. Very delicious. There's only a couple of tables and chairs, not really a place to hand out but to order and leave.
