I'm new to Frisco and for the past year I've been trying different boba spots. My go to drink is an iced mango black tea with pearls. Not a hard drink to make at all. One place will have amazing pearls/tapioca while the tea is too watery. Another place will have yummy tea but yucky pearls/tapioca. A lot of places I'm surprised offer only green tea... while others have the mango syrup and black tea... but "it's not on the menu, sorry we can not make it." I first checked out this place because my favorite boba spot in the area closed. Service is great - the staff is so nice and patient with answering questions about the menu. The location is very aesthetic - plenty of seats and spacious. It could be a great meeting or study spot. There is a good selection of drinks. My only complaint is that my coworkers and I have ordered a couple times and a standard milk tea came watery - it almost looked like they forgot the milk. I also ordered a hot jasmine milk tea and it also tasted very watered down and not hot enough. Definitely one of my go to Boba places near my house in Allen. I'm really glad this place made it up north and it's one of the better places up here compared to others. They make an authentic HK milk tea. The infusion teas are truly refreshing. Some of my favorite smoothies include the strawberry and mango smoothies. They use real fruit and not just the powder flavors like some other places. I've also tried a couple of specialty drinks as well like the Julie's special or the Passion Sunrise. When they first opened, I bought a GC that also came with a metal straw. The perks of getting a straw is that for future purchases, any medium drink that I order will automatically be upgraded to a large drink for free. I was really excited to try this new place, their menu and food items look great! However, I got a Jasmine Boba tea and it taste like they dumped a whole container of perfume into my tea. We stopped here to meet a friend and ordered a Hong Kong coffee milk tea, and I specifically asked (if) they could make a brown sugar boba solely with coconut milk, brown sugar, and boba. And the girl for some reason could not understand what that was.. so we stood there going over it and she kept asking me if I wanted tea in it and I would repeat myself - no... I just want a cup with coconut milk, add brown sugar, and regular boba, and that's it. And she would say so you want it with just milk or with tea? (I'm sorry but how hard was what I said??) I said idk? Do you call what I'm asking for "milk tea?" It's just brown sugar, coconut milk, and boba because I'm allergic to dairy. (This went on several times). When I got the drinks, the Hong Kong coffee milk tea tasted like caramel, not coffee at all. But my daughter liked it, so we kept it. The "brown sugar boba" was very strong black tea with a dash of coconut milk and boba...since I am pregnant I could not drink this with all the caffeine, after all the trouble I reluctantly went back to ask if they could just make it solely with coconut milk as I explained before. Now there were three people staring blankly at me without the slightest clue how to do this extremely simple task. The owner (assuming owner) wearing a full jihad and face mask started schooling me on "milk tea" instead of offering to make a new one. So I gave up and asked for a refund because this is the most retarded customer service I have ever encountered. Truly. So they started the refund and handed me a new receipt... with no money LOL I was like can I have my money back please? I already had a receipt. So they finally gave me the $6.50 cash back and I left. This was the most ridiculous, difficult, and frustrating tea order I've ever experienced in my life. We ended up taking our drinks to their outdoor seating area to drink and had such a pleasant experience. (If your like me I feed off peoples energy and it just wasn't a positive one). I ordered a mangonada that my family (2 other people) thinks was good but I thought had an overpowering amount of chamoy, so maybe it's just my taste buds are weird. The inside of the boba shop was such a good vibe (minus the employees) perfect place to study or hangout. There's even a large table for a big group. We were so disappointed with this location. Won't come back. Was excited because we've been going to the Richardson location ever since it opened in late 1990s/early 200s. Yes, it's been at least 15 years. Durian smoothie 0/5 The other location has the best durian smoothie in Dallas. They use fresh durian and powder durian and mix them well. Bistro B and Que Huong came in close. Here, it tasted weird. When I first took a sip, "Is this durian?" Definitely the durian taste wasn't as strong as in the other location. DH said it was contaminated. I was like "..." 1 hour later, he felt his tummy was weird. We went back and returned the 2/3 full smoothie to the person behind the counter at the time. She said sorry and didn't offer any replacement product. Thai tea with pudding 1/5 Tasted weird. Tea was too strong and wasn't sweet at all. We said 50% sweet but it's more like 25% sweet. Decided to take it home and put our own sugar in it. Coupon usage 0/5 We got an emailed coupon saying Buy 1 get 1 at 50%. Guess what, they said the coupon can only be used for Richardson location. I asked "Isn't the owner the same?" He said yes the same. So why can't we use the coupon here? Customer loyalty program 0/5 He said the system in this Frisco location and Richardson weren't linked. At the Richardson location, if you buy 10, you get 1 free. Their system keeps track of past purchases. You just tell them your phone number. Since the systems weren't linked, we think they can't accumulate purchases at Richardson store and add Frisco purchases to it. Or redeem free drink here if all 10 purchases were made in Richardson. Maybe I'm wrong, but they actually had to add DH name/number to their system as if he were a totally new customer. Sadly, there's no point of coming back. read more

So glad to have another Boba option in the area! The other place nearby was enough to take care of my cravings, but I think this place is far superior! Any time I am trying a new Boba place for the first time, I always get the classic black milk tea. I like to know if they can get the classic right before I try anything else. I got a large with extra Boba and it was great! I appreciate that they have a smaller size option as well because my kids, although love bubble tea, usually can't finish from other places. I can't wait to bring them here to try it out. I also got the tokoyaki balls and they were pretty good.
