This is a small chain, as they have some around ATL, and they know what they're doing…read more This is also a great space they have. Tons of chairs and distance to spread out and do work if need be, right in town. The decor is very modern, and while I don't like UGA stuff plastered everywhere as a townie, I still appreciate the local addition to the inside. So far, I have ordered two drinks: // Taro slush w/ golden boba // Hokkaido milk tea w/ crystal boba The were both great, and prepared fast as heck. Also love bubble tea spots were you can adjust the sweet and ice level, which they do. I wasn't sure if I'd notice much of a difference between the different boba options, but I now know that I'll want to pair a lighter boba with certain drinks, as the crystal boba was just that, Golden a step above, and I think the balance of the light crystal boba with the rich caramel flavor of the Hokkaido went very well together, and I think I prefer it over the classic tapioca pearl in this context; hats off to Ding for helping me discover this for an even tastier and well-rounded drink. They were efficient, fast, and the quality hasn't seemed to suffer. Now, on to the few cons: // Ordering with the weird microphone at the divided window panes at checkout; it seems both the cashier and the customer have a hard time understanding each other, having masks to not follow lips makes it harder, had to repeat things on my order both times. Not a big deal, but an inconvenience, and I appreciate them putting up COVID measures from the get-go. // Boba isn't included in the main drink price. It's usually 55¢ extra (a little more for premium toppings), and maybe this just comes from me being used to having it included, it's why I'm coming to a bubble cafe, after all. I think it may be so they can offer more boba varieties, so again, not the biggest deal, but another perceived inconvenience from what I'm used to, may not even be the standard, so I'm not too off put because I may lack perspective. // The staff seem like they are still figuring it out both times I went by, and they weren't rude or the like.. just eh, but they may very well be stressed, it does seem like a lot to have train folks with with all their options. // No food options / little snacks I looked for this and didn't see any, but will update if I stand corrected or they bring snacks options to the menu. I do mainly want the drink, but if I want to sit and read or work on something it'd be nice to have the option. All in all, I am happy with this new bubble tea establishment, and I want to see it stick around.

You can honestly never go wrong with brown sugar as a flavor. I also tried the passion fruit milk tea with star fruit jelly. Definitely a new favorite, I was reluctant to try a fruit milk flavor but it was surprisingly refreshing! The caramel Hokkaido black milk tea was super yummy too and more dessert-like. You can't go wrong with any flavor here! Prices and sizes are fair and workers are super sweet.

However, I wasn't the biggest fan of our drinks. We got one drink that was sugar-free to accommodate our dietary needs, and it was not good at all. The passionfruit tea was pretty good. I would get it with less sugar because it's naturally very sweet. With that I wish they had more sugar-free options for those who need it and still want to enjoy a refreshing lemonade or tea. this spot is located right next to an apartment with very few parking spots in front. So I can't imagine how crowded it may get during busy peak hours. If you are not diabetic or you do not need sugar-free beverages then I would say it's worth trying. However, if you do have some dietary restrictions when it comes to sugar level, I do not recommend recommend.

Apparently this is a widespread international chain that originated in Taiwan, though I cannot remember seeing one before. I thought maybe they would be trying to pass off a low-quality product on a college town audience. However, I am pleased to report that it was as good as any bubble tea place I've been to in a while. My kumquat lemon tea came with delicious lychee jellies by default, and I experienced no difficulty or extra charge by opting for half sugar and half ice. These turned out to be good choices as my tea was just sweet enough and the little bit of ice was just enough to make my tea cold without wasting space. The flavor was quite complex and I enjoyed it to the last drop. Their tea menu is sizable and intriguing, and the people working here appeared to know what they were doing. Notably, they had waffles which smelled awfully delicious, but contrary to what my Yelptastic profile might suggest, I do not eat everything in sight, and I did not have room for a waffle. But the people who did get one looked happy.

I feel gross and it was such a let down. If y'all know me, you know I'm big on being greeted within the first few seconds of walking into an establishment. The gal didn't say anything to me, just stood at the register waiting for me to order. I asked her what she would recommended between the pork belly bowl or the curry chicken noodle soup and she just said it just depends on if I wanted noodles or rice.. that should Have been my first clue. I hate leaving bad reviews... but this is not my first visit here. The first time I ordered the dumplings with chili sauce, and the older lady was super sweet and it was super delicious. My only qualms were how FILTHY the trash can was and how empty the place was... I was the only customer. It was the same this go around too... no customers, and the trash can was STILL FILTHY!! (And I know they're not busy enough to not get up off their butts and clean!!!) I digress.... The reason I feel grossed out is because the fried egg was barely fried, and there was no seasoning or pizazz to it at all... just a sunny side up on rice and pork belly. The pork belly itself was not fresh. It must have been cooked either earlier in the day or a few days before. I know this because of how the fat in the pork belly tasted. It wasn't cooked well either... there was no crisp to the top part whatsoever and the fatty part.... Well that was the grossest part. It was that gummy slimy texture and that is anything but pleasant. I'm really hoping this place turns itself around.. because I do dig the vibe, but they need to get un lazy and start caring a little more. And I'm not seeing their vision... are they a donut shop.... Hot dog shop... or Asian food...??? I think they would attract more business with a more definitive theme. Like I said, I hate leaving poor reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes they see it. (Oh ya, because calling with a critique is out of the question.... They don't answer their phone!! Tried calling to put in my order). Come Mochinut, do better!!! PLEASE!!!

One said they don't eat raw fish, another said they don't eat lettuce. None of the 3 acknowledged that something was wrong with what was served in the sushi bowl they prepared! 1. There was a lot of rotten mixed lettuce in our poke bowl. (black, rotted slimy) My wife complained, and showed all the rotten pieces she was having to collect on a side napkin. The two women shrugged, and said it came new from the container like that. Did she want a bowl with zero lettuce? Not really. That's not we paid for. We always get half sushi rice & half salad all the bowl places we like. I repeated that we buy a lot of mixed salad at the grocery, and it often does need some washing/ inspection to remove rotten lettuce pieces or sections. They shrugged. 2. When I asked about the salmon vs. spicy fish, my bowl maker shrugged and said she doesn't eat raw fish. (Do they know enough about sushi?) 3. My wife and I, who frequent many poke & sushi places, were amazed they would not take any responsibility. A 3rd worker comes in to work. We explained to him, confident someone must know it is not acceptable to serve rotten lettuce in a sushi bowl. He said, "Why are you asking me? I just got here. I don't know. I don't eat lettuce." 4. OK These 3 people have not been trained about acceptable food quality, much less sushi, which requires higher standards! 5. Details, this was about 90 minutes after the GA vs Kentucky football game, and we were the only ones in the store. Another family came, heard our ongoing discussion, and left. 6. Overall: pleasant place, and good ingredients and preparation EXCEPT for my wife's with multiple pieces and edges of lettuce that were black, slimy and clearly rotten. With ok lettuce, and better trained employees would be a 4 or 5.
