K5 - BEEF PHO with short rib, brisket & meatballs
    Richard R.

Simply put, this is my new favorite pho!!! Paris Banh Mi has a nice assortment of pho's, sandwiches and baked goods. On my first visit my wife and I shared the VEGGIE PHO [K3], but substituted the beef broth in lieu of the veggie broth normally offered. Typically I'm a carnivore, so it was to my surprise this veggie version was the most amazing pho I've eaten in a decade. It was great to have all the veggies but also several types of tofu that tasted surprisingly like meat. I felt like Anton Ego from Ratatouille, as if this pho somehow was made especially for me (5+ stars). I was so impressed I had to come back a few days later to try the BEEF RIB PHO [K5], which was also good but not nearly as impressive as the veggie pho with beef broth (3.8 stars). It is a three meat pho which includes brisket and meatballs along with the featured short rib. The rib itself was very fatty and noticeably smaller than the one picture on their menu board. Disappointing to say the least and something I will not likely order again IF they are all as fatty as the one I experienced this visit. Their FRIED VEGGIE SPRING ROLLS [A1] were good (3.5 stars) but kinda greasy and I was also not a huge fan of the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken (3 stars). All of their drinks and snacks are imported (even though many are American companies), and have a hefty price tag of $4.95 on everything from the Grape Fanta to the Cheetos. The restaurant itself has a cute small warehouse hangout vibe and the service was quick. Each item came out hot and fresh! FINAL THOUGHTS Since many of the ingredients in this pho are also used for their sandwiches, I assume the Bánh Mì's are excellent too, but I have yet to try one. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the VEGGIE PHO with beef broth. It should be on every pho lovers short list!!!

We had the banh mi, pho, bulgogi rice bowl and spicy popcorn chicken. It was all good. Strangely enough the highlight of the meal was the half and half potato Korean corn dog. It was unreal.

Great Banhmi and pretty good recently added Pho. Nice place to hango with friends. Don't forget to get a cup of sea salt cream coffee. The Pho broth is on point but I would honestly pay more to have some more protein in my pho.

I ordered the chicken banh mi and thai tea with boba. The banh mi was so flavorful and the bread tasted really good. They had their signature paris bread and traditional vietnamese bread and I got the traditional bread. The boba in the thai tea was the perfect texture and the thai tea itself was the perfect amount of sweet. Lastly, the staff was really nice and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!

I'm so amped that they opened a Paris Banh Mi in Athens. They make a great vegan banh mi, which you can get on either a baguette or croissant. But they have a ton of other stuff as well, including pho, pastries, and boba tea. The Vietnamese coffee is delicious. It's really nice inside. I especially like the long counter at the front which looks out the big window onto the street.

The cafe is cute and a nice place to study with friends. The lychee tea was a little watery and didn't have a strong lychee flavor but the thai tea was fairly good. The Korean corn dog was delicious especially with the Cheetos crust. It's also a fairly good size for the price and the sauces added a nice flavor. The banh mi was a little bland and the pickled veggies didn't have a vinegar or pickled flavor. The baguette is also on the skinnier side and isn't a the typical French baguettes normally used in bánh mì. I would definitely come back and try the other sandwich options or the corn dogs.

I really like pastry..the best banh mi in Athens They have a lot of Korean corn dog..Really good..I love milk tea cheese foam..The best Pho too..I recommend Beef short rib Pho..so delicious

I bought takeout yesterday and it was great. Spring rolls, popcorn chicken and fries, and a sandwich. Really fresh and delicious.

However, I wasn't the biggest fan of our drinks. We got one drink that was sugar-free to accommodate our dietary needs, and it was not good at all. The passionfruit tea was pretty good. I would get it with less sugar because it's naturally very sweet. With that I wish they had more sugar-free options for those who need it and still want to enjoy a refreshing lemonade or tea. this spot is located right next to an apartment with very few parking spots in front. So I can't imagine how crowded it may get during busy peak hours. If you are not diabetic or you do not need sugar-free beverages then I would say it's worth trying. However, if you do have some dietary restrictions when it comes to sugar level, I do not recommend recommend.

Apparently this is a widespread international chain that originated in Taiwan, though I cannot remember seeing one before. I thought maybe they would be trying to pass off a low-quality product on a college town audience. However, I am pleased to report that it was as good as any bubble tea place I've been to in a while. My kumquat lemon tea came with delicious lychee jellies by default, and I experienced no difficulty or extra charge by opting for half sugar and half ice. These turned out to be good choices as my tea was just sweet enough and the little bit of ice was just enough to make my tea cold without wasting space. The flavor was quite complex and I enjoyed it to the last drop. Their tea menu is sizable and intriguing, and the people working here appeared to know what they were doing. Notably, they had waffles which smelled awfully delicious, but contrary to what my Yelptastic profile might suggest, I do not eat everything in sight, and I did not have room for a waffle. But the people who did get one looked happy.

I feel gross and it was such a let down. If y'all know me, you know I'm big on being greeted within the first few seconds of walking into an establishment. The gal didn't say anything to me, just stood at the register waiting for me to order. I asked her what she would recommended between the pork belly bowl or the curry chicken noodle soup and she just said it just depends on if I wanted noodles or rice.. that should Have been my first clue. I hate leaving bad reviews... but this is not my first visit here. The first time I ordered the dumplings with chili sauce, and the older lady was super sweet and it was super delicious. My only qualms were how FILTHY the trash can was and how empty the place was... I was the only customer. It was the same this go around too... no customers, and the trash can was STILL FILTHY!! (And I know they're not busy enough to not get up off their butts and clean!!!) I digress.... The reason I feel grossed out is because the fried egg was barely fried, and there was no seasoning or pizazz to it at all... just a sunny side up on rice and pork belly. The pork belly itself was not fresh. It must have been cooked either earlier in the day or a few days before. I know this because of how the fat in the pork belly tasted. It wasn't cooked well either... there was no crisp to the top part whatsoever and the fatty part.... Well that was the grossest part. It was that gummy slimy texture and that is anything but pleasant. I'm really hoping this place turns itself around.. because I do dig the vibe, but they need to get un lazy and start caring a little more. And I'm not seeing their vision... are they a donut shop.... Hot dog shop... or Asian food...??? I think they would attract more business with a more definitive theme. Like I said, I hate leaving poor reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes they see it. (Oh ya, because calling with a critique is out of the question.... They don't answer their phone!! Tried calling to put in my order). Come Mochinut, do better!!! PLEASE!!!

I was not disappointed except that Chef V said she had to stop doing the Indonese chicken (look it up) and make everything white meat for the locals in Athens. I hope that changes. The soy ginger sauce was excellent. The curry chicken is a definite try for those who would like to sample something different and hot and tasty! In short: Try the spicy dumplings, the curry chicken and the soy sauce chicken dishes here and maybe have a nice pandam mochi donut at the end!

One said they don't eat raw fish, another said they don't eat lettuce. None of the 3 acknowledged that something was wrong with what was served in the sushi bowl they prepared! 1. There was a lot of rotten mixed lettuce in our poke bowl. (black, rotted slimy) My wife complained, and showed all the rotten pieces she was having to collect on a side napkin. The two women shrugged, and said it came new from the container like that. Did she want a bowl with zero lettuce? Not really. That's not we paid for. We always get half sushi rice & half salad all the bowl places we like. I repeated that we buy a lot of mixed salad at the grocery, and it often does need some washing/ inspection to remove rotten lettuce pieces or sections. They shrugged. 2. When I asked about the salmon vs. spicy fish, my bowl maker shrugged and said she doesn't eat raw fish. (Do they know enough about sushi?) 3. My wife and I, who frequent many poke & sushi places, were amazed they would not take any responsibility. A 3rd worker comes in to work. We explained to him, confident someone must know it is not acceptable to serve rotten lettuce in a sushi bowl. He said, "Why are you asking me? I just got here. I don't know. I don't eat lettuce." 4. OK These 3 people have not been trained about acceptable food quality, much less sushi, which requires higher standards! 5. Details, this was about 90 minutes after the GA vs Kentucky football game, and we were the only ones in the store. Another family came, heard our ongoing discussion, and left. 6. Overall: pleasant place, and good ingredients and preparation EXCEPT for my wife's with multiple pieces and edges of lettuce that were black, slimy and clearly rotten. With ok lettuce, and better trained employees would be a 4 or 5.
