I've been a long time customer back when it was lollicup. The establishment has taken a dip and I think I will not return unless it's under new management. For 1, the food quality is just not there anymore. 2, the customer service went out the window. 3. The cashier kid with the bleached hair tips, helped maybe 10 customers while I was waiting for my order. All the while he was handling cash, scratching his head, face and eyes. Not once between all that time did he wash his hands. Not even hand sanitizer. He was obviously preparing food and drinks... It's a shame because I used to enjoy this place. read more

Regarding my visit today for a large classic milk tea with boba and no ice: boba is tasteless, not minimally sweet at all. Tea has very little flavor and taste more watery than tea-flavored if anything, like cheap-quality. The worst $6.50 I've ever spent in my life. Exactly $5 for the drink, $0.50 for the large size, $0.50, and $0.50 for NO ICE - can you believe that?? Not worth it. Never coming here again. Jimmy the cashier was not nice either. read more

Simply a rough diamond - I took my car for an oil change across the street and I was hungry so I looked around to see what was walking distance. I have to admit at first sight, this place did not seem appetizing. It's kinda hidden and not very catchy...you'd drive by it without looking twice. Anyhow, I've never tried boba milk so I looked up reviews and it looked clean and had food items so I decided to heck it out. Boy oh boy!! The place is neat inside, very clean, menu was extensive. I bought the kungpow chicken and the original boba drink....I loved it!!! Food was a nice serving size and very fresh vegetables and rice was great!! I've been coming here for a few years now and have never had an issue. I was there today for a pick up, called and spoke with the owner and told her that on my popcorn chicken order, half of the container was just crumbs. She stated she did not believed me as she had prepared it herself, drove back to her location to showed her and the conversation was all about me. She said I probably did something to the food because there was no way she would have served that although the container was there in her face. Like I said I've never had a problem and I wouldnt be posting this if it wasnt because of how the owner was accussing me of messing with the food, for what purpose not sure. I asked for my money back just for that one item not the whole order she refused, took the container and added some more chicken on top of the crumbs didnt even bother to empty the container. Very disappointed after coming here since they opened. For many years they did things right. I had a hair in my food on 02/09/19 and was charged twice, after stating i would get a refund i waited for 3 days and still nothing. I like this place.... The watermelon slushie is sooooo good .... The shrimp chowmain is good the noodles are cooked really good but the shrimp flavor is just ok.... I've been coming here for years and the service and food has always been good. But the last two times I've been here,the popcorn chicken noodle soup sucks! I don't know why it doesn't tatse the same. They have no proper condiments for the soups on the table. They use to have everything out in the front. They removed them. I saw a sign that they charge .25 per sauce? Just experienced the worst customer service. The girl at the cashier asked for my order and didn't even let me finish my order when she was already a step ahead of me I felt as she was trying to hurry and get out. It was weird because the persons before me was a male and seemed to be very nice to him. Once she gave us our boba drinks I then asked for a drink carrier. Yes she gave it to me but I felt like I was a bother for asking her. No customer likes to feel that way. I don't think she was having a good day and just wanted to get out of there. Placed a DoorDash order and received 7/8 nasty drinks. Boba was so soft and overcooked. It was mushy. Drinks were so sweet and had no other flavor. It was like flavorless colored sweet tea. Drinks weren't labeled. I called to request replacements but they refused and told me that's how their boba and drinks are. Poor management and they don't care. I contacted DoorDash and they only gave me $9 back out of $49 order. We ended up throwing all the drinks out. Don't go there. My son and I tried this place for the first time yesterday. The boba was unbelievably fresh and the service was great! Right after my son received his tai tea with boba he mistakenly attempted to pierce the plastic cup covering with the flat end of his straw - instead of the pointed end. The pressure caused the cup to burst and his tea pretty much exploded. The guy behind the counter immediately said "don't worry about it at all" and started making another tai tea for my son. He then came around the counter and started cleaning the mess with a smile and assured my son, again, to not worry about it and that the mess will be cleaned up right away. We will definitely go back even though it's kind of in one of the "sketchier" areas of Pomona. If you're looking to satisfy your boba fix I highly recommend this place!!! read more

Weird. Weird. It's so weird. It looks so hood on the outside, like a Salvadoreno restaurant on the inside, the menu looks like a street taqueria but there are REALLY nice TVs (3) playing some movies or sports. It's so weird, and none of it alludes to the fantastic food. The food, honestly, I was expecting horrible food from them, but I have now tried fried tofu, teriyaki chicken, chicken torta. All of the food was insanely good, high quality, CLEAN food. I couldn't believe it. My office moved over here, and it's the only boba around so I've been frequenting it. The tea is "decent". Of course as maybe someone who follows me knows, I am a milk tea expert. My milk tea tastes are very refined and educated by every milk tea in the greater LA area. My life motto is "Milk tea ee'ry day, (expletive which I cannot say on yelp)" So imagine my surprise that their tea was actually pretty good. The tea itself is better than lollicup, but the coffee milk tea tastes almost identical to quickly. I don't really like it. I do like the plain milk tea. It's a step above some, so I don't feel like I'm missing out. I live in Chinatown in LA, and I prefer to drink tea here than the major boba stores there (Lollicup, quickly, etc) My friend tried the taro milk tea. It wsa made with a powder and not very good. This boba spot is local for me. It used to be a Lollicup but it changed to Boba Tea Zone a few years ago. For the most part this is a good place to stop at. There are plenty of spots to sit at (but there is normally plenty of seating because it doesn't ever really get too busy). The menu is quite similar to the Lollicup menu and it is around the same price range as well. The food they sell there too is quite similar as well. I personally like their fruit slushes....and their teas aren't too bad as well. Their Cajun fries and garlic fries are what I normally get if I'm hungry and their popcorn chicken isn't too shabby as well. What sucks is that later on in the day it isn't unlikely that they will run out of boba and I have been disappointed many times when they tell me they ran out of boba for the day. The service is alright...but they always seem to be in a rush. Just one of those boba spots I go to with my family on a lazy Sunday or a place I go to when I don't want to drive out to be better boba spots farther away from my house. read more

This location has new management/ owners. Which unfortunately are Not using the same recipes that won those countless awards at this location. The new food recipes lacks a lot of flavor tastes extremely bland. I used to order the popcorn chicken it normally came with seasoning and basil leaves and this time so bland it tastes like overpriced McDonald's nuggets. I understand your trying to save money, but understand your going to lose customers sorry to say I will not return until this issue is resolved. The mojitos as well was lacking something it didn't taste the same the only thing that tasted somewhat similar was the Thai tea but really i spent well over $20 and ended up throwing it away and got food elsewhere. read more

Really good milk teas. I got coffee milk tea with pudding and husband ordered the regular milk tea with boba. We also ordered the combo with fries and chicken wings. I asked for garlic fries rather than regular fries for the combo and it was $1 extra. The fries were good, but the chicken was okay. The honey mustard (???) sauce that comes with the chicken was okay too. All in all, I'd come back for the milk teas and try other entrees. read more

This place had great customer service. Nice sofa lounge area, tables and booths to sit and eat. It's pretty roomy and there's a variety of boba drinks, hot teas and kitchen food. They have garlic fries, wings, pho & much more. Open til 9pm. About 7 mins for Pomona Fairplex. Parking is free and is close by. I'd recommend it! read more

Once a Lollicup but transformed to Boba Tea Zone in the past few years. I've noticed that a lot of Lollicup franchises tend to follow this pattern. The milk tea boba is your typical scooped out of the refrigerator milk tea. Overly sweet, but I guess that's what makes it delicious. However, you can get the same kind of milk tea over at any Banh Mi Cali for ~$1.25. This fills my boba fix whenever I'm too lazy to drive all the way over to Rowland Heights because it's closer to my current location.
