I've eyed Phillips Ranch Health Bar for their smoothies and sandwiches, and I'm disappointed that I hadn't gone sooner! The health bar is in a plaza not too far from Cal Poly Pomona and there's ample parking. I stopped by one weekend for a quick breakfast, and I was told that they could make any of their paninis/sandwiches open-faced. I highly recommend going for their caprese panini! It did take a minute for me to get my order (I was the only one in the cafe almost the whole time I was there), but my sandwich came out fresh and hot. I did order it with chicken as a protein add-on, but I would skip it because it was a little rubbery. Other than that, this place is no nonsense, is actually connected with the pharmacy next door, and is clean with a handful of tables and a comfy couch. Service is great to boot. Amazing Paninis and reasonably priced. Whenever I come here I love their Japanen Ranch Chicken panini, which has a perfect amount of chicken, jalepenos, cheese and toastedness. The store is clean, I came in around 7pm so it was a perfect time to come and have a first visit. I met Josh, he was uber friendly, gave good suggestions for menu items and even got me to try beets!
