There are ALOT of yummy options here. This is my go-to boba spot and after trying a few flavors my fave is the Wintermelon Milk Tea (black) with boba and egg pudding topping. Their milk teas are the perfect amount of sweetness but you do have the option of changing the percentage if you wish. They are silky smooth, flavorful, creamy and don't have that artificial taste. The tea/milk/wintermelon balance is spot on. Their boba is the best out of all the ones I've ever had. It's fresh, soft, slightly gummy and the flavor is so delicious (likened to honey would be my closest guess) and definitely not bland like most others. They're also the perfect size so they glide through your straw easily, instead of getting stuck and your head nearly imploding from trying to suck it loose... then ultimately choking to death when it does. Enter my discovery of the egg pudding topping... SO GOOD. I'm a huge custard fan and this immediately took me back to a custard dessert I grew up with in Chinese restaurants. You've seen Ratatouille, right? Lol. The associates are mostly younger kids, rather sweet. Two days ago one of them forgot to add the egg pudding and I didn't have time to turn back. Today I explained to a different girl what happened and asked if I could get it complimentary. She agreed and actually was about to comp me the whole drink, not just the pudding! I've been wanting to try this boba spot in the area since I frequent the Crossroads often. My go-to drink is usually a taro milk tea with boba, but I only like the real taro over the artificial powder. The interior design was well-decorated and it seems like a nice place to chill. There were a decent number of people getting boba on a random Wednesday night around 9pm. Drink: - Taro Milk Tea with Boba ($8 with tax): Definitely more pricey than other boba spots. Almost $1 more than what I am usually paying. They told us they use real taro, but I could definitely taste the artificial powder mixed into the milk tea. There was barely any real taro in the drink and it was not sweetened with sugar, so it was bland. The boba was also pretty subpar because it wasn't soft and way too chewy. Overall, I was not impressed with the taro drink and it brought me back to my highschool years before all the legit boba shops came into town. Definitely prefer the taro drinks at Yifang or Sunright more (they use real taro and have excellent honey boba). Can't say much about the other drinks and I probably won't try them since they all seem overpriced in my opinion. read more

They seem to use the really good teas as they are pretty bitter by default. For places like these, I prefer milk tea over black. I usually take sweetness level at 25-50%. Hubby had 50% milk tea and seemed not as sweet as other locations. Their true winner is their seasonal tropical spritz. This time it was ginger ale mixed with strawberry purée! It was amazing My son loved it so much he asked to come twice in the week. It was late on New Years Day, these guys were one of the only ones open near the hotel I was staying at. I wanted a milk tea with boba and pudding before I flew out early in the morn. While in the area on a Wednesday night after dinner, I discovered and decided to try BobaHi. It was easy to find parking since it's located in a large plaza. When I walked in, there was no line and I was able to order very quickly. I really liked how the shop was decorated! Lots of cute decor in the form of nice posters and lights, which really added to the experience. Right after I ordered, it started to get more crowded. The staff was really friendly and service was great. I absolutely love creme brulee and any creme brulee-flavored drinks and desserts, so I tried the Creme Brulee with Boba, which was listed as one of their Special drinks. It was fresh milk poured over a rich custardy creme brulee and caramelized brown sugar pearls. I asked for the sweetness to be adjusted to 75%. I LOVED this drink. It was truly like drinking creme brulee. Even with 75% it was pretty sweet, so I'd probably go for 50% or even 25% next time, but either way, it was such a great choice and I'd order it again next time. read more

We got both a King Brulee with Oat (50%) and while this was so so good, reminiscent of Brown Sugar Boba, I personally would do 20% sweetness but my husband thought the 50% was perfect to curb a sweet/dessert craving. I think they recently opened so maybe the workers are still getting into the groove. I was disappointed that the Taro Twist was a liquid drink. You can clearly see on the menu that it's a blended drink and I bought it thinking that way. I brought this up to the cashier but they didn't offer to replace the drink (I hadn't even opened it). The taro had that awful chunkiness I was trying to avoid by getting a blended drink :( Overall the drinks were good decent but damn, it's expensive. Having one of their delicious drinks will give you that boost you need to be the best you, and honestly, I felt it. The drink that I had was the Krak Signature Milk Tea with pink boba! Yes, you heard correctly, PINK Boba! That drink was exactly what I needed. It made me smack my lips together and say Yaaayysss! The pink boba, for me, is a game-changer for sure! It definitely has a different texture than your regular Boba, but it's something different, which I'm all about; trying new things, trying different things, and Krak Boba gave me that opportunity to be different and not be basic. I'm very new to the wonderful world of boba. I had been going to a different, nearby boba shop that my friend who introduced me to boba took me to because she says it's her favorite place, Don't get me wrong: this other boba shop is great , too. But BobaHi seems to have more unique flavors. I'm not sure whether that is actually true, though. Maybe it's just the way their menu looks? Anyway, Bobahi is really great! Very yummy!!! I can't remember the name of the drink I got, but I think it was crème brûlée flavor. OMG, WAS IT DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!' There is a ton of parking because it's in the same center as the Home Depot. Also, if somebody in your group prefers to get coffee instead of boba, this is a good location because there's a Starbucks just to the north of the Home Depot, so it's just a 2-minute walk from Bobahi and you don't have to drive to a different location. (But you'd want to drive to the SB if anybody in your group is mobility challenged or has heart or lung issues that are acting up.) Plus there's a. In-N-Out burger, Jamba Juice, and lots of other food and maybe even more specialty drink options in this same shopping center. But back to Bobahi: the service was excellent! The young lady who helped me was very friendly and patient. She answered all my "newbie" questions very kindly. The only thing is that if you want to sit down somewhere to enjoy your boba, this store is pretty small. I don't remember if they have tables and chairs or even a little bar against the window with stools or off there was no inside seating at all at Bobahi. So if you want to sit down inside somewhere while you enjoy your boba, you'd want to go across the street to Share Tea, which is also excellent, but has a larger indoor space with more seating. It's in the strip mall that Is directly to the south of the gas station on Crenshaw just south of Lomita Blvd., right across the street. But back to Bobahi: so the drink I got was so delicious and rich that I couldn't even finish it! That is rare for me because I love sweets, brown sugar, cream, tea, and boba. So Bobahi gets a 100% in my book as long as you don't need to sit inside. And if you do need to sit inside, then I still give Bobahi a 95% because it's that yummy: you might find it worth sitting in your car or on the curb to enjoy your delicious boba drink from Bobahi!! read more

My friend and I came here on a hot sunday and picked up a Matcha milk tea and strawberry matcha latte. I drink matcha daily and am quite picky with it. That said, I feel that Krak Boba's style of matcha is definitely more on the milky side. Matcha milk tea, 0% sweet, oat milk (6/10)- not a strong or fragrant matcha flavor I would like, but okay if you need a caffeine fix. Strawberry Matcha latte, regular sugar (9/10)- this was much better, and of course more flavorful and sweeter due to the strawberry purée. In comparison to other strawberry matcha's I have tried, this one was very good and I highly recommend those who like the drink try it! read more

It was estimated to be ready in 10 min but I didn't get the drinks until after 25 min so unfortunately ended up having to wait anyway. I got the Summer Passion drink because I wanted something refreshing but the tea leaves ended up being too bitter for me. My sister tried it and said she thought it tasted fine - I did enjoy the crystal boba though. My boyfriend got the Mango Madness which had pieces of real mango in it and we both agreed it tasted good. My sister ordered the Maui Breeze with 50% sweetness but it tasted just as sweet as the Mango Madness one which was full 100% sweetness. Maybe next time I'll just stick to their milk teas which I know have been consistently good. read more

I was in the area and wanted to a quick nighttime drink. Krak was one of the places that was open late, so I definitely wanted to give this place a try. Krak is located in a huge plaza with In-n-out, Vons, etc. Since I came at night, most of the stores were closed, so I was able to find parking right in front of Krak. (The parking lot is SUPER big, I wouldn't worry too much about finding parking though). There were quite a few people on Friday night (think it is because it's one of the few boba places in South Bay open late). I decided to order my usual of green tea with boba and lychee jelly. There were quite a number of people, but it did seem to take longer than usual to get my drink. I also saw that my drink was sitting out for awhile, but they never called my number. It seems like the employees were confused on which drinks were made for whichever order. When I finally got my drink, they gave me a milk tea instead of just the tea. The person was super nice though and got me my correct order (I had wait about another 5 minutes). As for the drink itself, the tea was slightly overbrewed (not sure if it was because it was night time) and the boba was also a little over cooked. I think if I came during the day, my drink would have been better. I think overall, I would give this place 3.5 stars for the drink and experience, but I am bumping it up to 4 stars since the employees were nice and it is a decent boba place open later than the other places in the South Bay. read more

Happy Grand Opening Krak Boba Torrance! This past weekend was Krak Boba's grand opening weekend which meant two things: free boba for the first 200 as well as 50% boba the whole weekend! All of the drinks here can be customized to your ice preference (normal, light or no ice) as well as sweetness preference (normal, 75%, 50% or extra sweet). The guy working their suggested to get 75% as he said their drinks are not as sweet as other boba places. They have a variety of toppings ranging from boba to creme brûlée to sea cream. I did the 50% off deal this Sunday and got their Dragon Slayer while my mom got the Taro Twist. Both were $5.95 each but with the 50% off deal; it was like buy 1, get 1 and we paid only $5.95. The Dragon Slayer is lychee slush embellished with dragon fruit and mango bits while the Taro Twist is fresh taro with fresh milk. We decided to try the Taro Twist and the taro flavor was good but light. It was overall refreshing. The Dragon Slayer was the one I enjoyed more. It was definitely fruity and loved the mix of lychee, dragon fruit and mango. I loved how there were little mango bits! This would be perfect for the summer. The drinks here were quite tasty and I would definitely love to visit again. They have cute place overall and the employees were friendly. I went during soft opening. I say it's around 3.5 stars. During soft opening the drinks are buy 2 get 1 free. The free drink can only be a fruit tea or coffee. I tried the moon princess and tropical paradise. Both 100% sweet. The moon princess is good but a bit watered down. The tropical paradise is fruity ginger ale so it's nicely carbonated and sweet. For almost $6, I feel like it is a bit pricey for what you get though. Maybe next time I'll try another drink like the king brûlée or matcha drinks. I picked the mango green tea as the free drink but have yet to try it. Service was ok but I could tell they were still figuring out the POS system I'm willing to come back to try other drinks. read more

I ordered the King Brûlée which is ranked as one of the favorites. It comes with boba and pudding which I didn't mind though I normally do not add pudding to my milk teas. The pudding was an interesting consistency and even though I shook the drink well I felt overall it tasted too milky. 1st time here: I ordered the signature boba milk tea, no sugar, no ice. It came out with light ice. I asked the cashier and they said that they can only do light ice. What? I understand if they can't fill up the cup 100% with no ice, I'm ok with 70% full, but there is a big difference between no ice and light ice. The tea was mediocre. Overall: What sets this place apart from all the other boba places are the unique flavors. I highly recommend the Dragon Slayer as a perfect summer drink. Pretty quick service and plenty of parking. I tried the King Brulee the first time as that is the most popular drink and I give it a solid 8/10. If you like brown sugar milk tea, you'll definitely like this because it tastes just like that with little creme brulee bits inside. My favorite here is the dragon slayer. Location: in the Torrance Crossroads on Crenshaw and Lomita Blvd. Next door to Home Goods. Drinks I have sampled thus far: 1) Dragon Slayer- Very sweet especially with the mango puree in it and sweet boba. Otherwise, very good and very colorful so that makes its Instagram worthy. 2) Mango fruit tea with boba- Probably my favorite once I had the sugar level reduced down to 50%. 3) Tropical Paradise- Lots of stuff going on here with ginger ale soda included and pieces of orange and strawberry slices and I added the boba. I would have loved this one more if it weren't so sweet probably because of the ginger ale in it. I had already reduced the sugar level by 1/2 but that still wasn't enough. This was just ok for me. Summary: My main issue with all the drinks seems to be too sugary. If you don't like sugary sweet drinks, I suggest that if you see a fruit puree or an ingredient in the drink you know is already sweet on it's own, take out the sugar or reduce it by half and see how it goes. Krak is a chain and is a Thai based chain and if you know anything about Thai drinks, they all tend to be on the sweeter side. All the boba served here are sweet. I guess it's trial and errorr on how you like your drink done, but I say experiment. Happy drinking!! read more
