Came by for a boba fix but the drink was so sweet. The desserts look good, but coming from the SGV/OC, I wasn't impressed by this one. There's an order kiosk but you can't order drinks there. First off, Moshi Moshi Tea Shoppu is located inside Oko Cafe, so look for Oko's signage. Secondly, it was a Pop-Up, but since it's been here for nearly 2 years, I'm thinking this is more permanent. TIP: To order from the Momoko x Moshi Moshi menu, you must use the kiosk. You cannot order at the counter. When you step inside, you'll see that the furniture and decorations are all black & white. Like the artist drew all the lines with a black Sharpie! There's a train complete with seats & handholds for standing passengers. Too cute! Previously, there was a family of ducks that once graced that wall. There's also a guitar, telephone, computer, and a portrait of Albert Einstein! I love the functional piano named Hammond! 04/08/2023 I came here for the Soft Opening pop up inside Oko Cafe. You order at the kiosk and wait for your order at the designated pick up counter. I ordered the Sakura Cherry Matcha Tea with Kikkoman Organic Soy Milk which was very rich and thick almost like a milkshake. I do like this idea where you do have options when trying to decide because you can view two different menus. I would come back and try another drink. Fast forward to July, I brought two more people. This is a Pop up shop inside Oko Cafe with a Super Cute concept of a cartoon Japanese subway. I love their dedication to the black & white cartoon concept- they even had the piano, tables, and seating in that fashion. Their trash can is also decorated like a boba drink- how creative! The milk tea & boba is yummy. They sealed off a tea bag in my cup, which was really cool since most shops don't just use one tea serving per customer (you can usually pour many batches of tea from the same tea leaves). This is probably why you can taste the amazing aromatic tea, unlike other places where you can barely taste the tea. They also gave a free tea sample with my drink. After having lunch near by,my spouse and I walked around the Pacific Square shopping center and noticed how the interior looks unique. It was all black and white boba place. The place looks really cute and the theme was the train station. It even have piano! You can play at your risk. I did play a couple of funny tunes. They have fresh tea scent containers for you to sniff the tea you like to order. I ordered peach oolong drink with crystal boba from the kiosk system. I got my drink within 5 minutes with a free tea sample. This is my first time seeing teabag in a boba drink. Overall the place was clean and service was great as well. Some of the best quality tea and boba yet! The pop up is located inside OKO Cafe. You MUST order on the kiosk and NOT at the register to get Moshi Moshi. Each order will take approximately 15 minutes, so be prepared to wait for your tea to be brewed to perfection. While waiting, you can smell the tea samples and look at the other displays. Once your drink is done, they will call your name and not the order number. The order number is for OKO. For each drink, they give you tea samples. I have yet to try the tea at home, but each one is super nice with a handwritten note. Per drink, the price ranges from ~$6-8. A little on the pricey side, but so worth it! read more

I ordered the Sakura Cherry Green Tea with Cheese Mousse and it was delicious. I really like cherry flavor, and this a delicate but clear cherry flavor. I love that they are testing out new drinks! You order separately from the kiosk inside Oko Cafe. I wanted to try the fruit sandos but they actually had sold out of almost all, so I will need to come back for that. One of the best boba places in the area. I've gone at least ten times. Always the same quality.

This was the cutest hidden gem that we stumbled across while looking for a bakery in Gardena. As someone who doesn't opt for boba, it takes a really great one to make me reconsider and let me tell you, this didn't disappoint. Drink: Omomoko Green Tea w/ cream mouse & mochi ball + sakura honey boba: I was very skeptical about this drink so to think that it was one of the best tea drinks I've had in a while was impressive. Mixing in the cream mouse made the drink similar to a green tea latte but lighter and brighter. The boba was also great having a slight floral taste while being soft and chewy. Service: The woman who handed me my drink was so sweet. She proceeded to give me a little pouch of a tea sample and from then I was sold. Ambiance: What took me by surprise, however, was the interior. There were no yelp pictures that could've led me to think that this was a 2D cafe, but it is! I was so excited because I've been wanting to visit one ever since it become popularized in Seoul. There is even a seating area along the wall with handles in front to mimic the look of a Japanese train. It's a pretty photo op with plenty of seating including tables outside. It was pretty crowded at 6:00pm so there was a bit of a wait, but that's bearable if you're admiring the decor. Cons: The only thing that made me squirm was the price. Now, I'm quite used to an expensive cafe, but I was a little taken aback when (with the added boba) the price came out to be over $7. I couldn't justify getting a drink at that price to come very often, but it's a great place to come to at least once. This is a great place to come with friends if I lived in the area. I got a sakura cherry green milk tea with sakura mochi and it was really good. The flavor of the tea is really nice and I like the varieties of tea flavors they have. If you're stuck on what to order like me, they do have tin cans beside the kiosk where you can smell some of the teas. I thought that was a nice touch. My kids and I ordered the Sakura Cherry Matcha Milk Tea, Momoko White Peach Green Milk Tea and a strawberry fresh fruit drink. The overall flavor and presentation were great! The strawberry fresh fruit drink had a cute Japanese-style candied strawberry lollipop on top. My daughter loved her drink which she's hard to please. Wish I took photos! The flavors of the milk tea were on point, BUT...the tea bags were left in the cup. This is not good when you have boba and milk in it which hides the tea bag. We didn't realize this and we accidentally punctured the tea bag with the sharp boba straw, leaving us with a mouthful of tea leaves. Everything tasted great, up until we were chewing on boba with tea leaves which left an unpleasant experience. I would have given this place a 5 star but knocked a star for this experience. This is a shop within Oko Cafe that is also part of the store. The drinks here are superb. The teas are freshly brewed with very unique flavors. I had the matcha drink that has peach flavor and mochi inside! Mochi is inside the drink! It is so good and is nothing I have tried at other boba places. Having come from Alhambra and the SanGabriel area (the place with the best boba in US), this place is on par with those places. read more

Came into Oko Cafe today and saw they had this self check out kiosk. They gave me a sample of their New Drink Line from Moshi Moshi! The staff was very friendly and came over to see if I had any questions about the kiosk. That's a very nice touch of customer service! I ordered the Momoko Cheese Tea. It is so refreshing and the cheese foam was just a prefect compliment for the drink! Sweet with a hit of sweet n Salty cheese! The texture of the cheese foam was prefect! My friends got Sakura Cherry Matcha Milk Tea - the first sip, the matcha was so authentic and yummy, BUT then you get an after taste of the Sakura Milk Tea! It was well balanced mix! Lastly we ordered the Cookie (Monster) Milk Tea - This tea is so good! Tasty and not too sweet! Prefect pairing with their Sakura BOBA! Over all experience was very good! This is a little pop-up within a tea shop and the concept is great. Limited flavors and premium at that. I had the amazing Sakura Cherry tea with cream cheese foam and Sakura honey boba. It came topped with a free mochi and that was tasty. They even gave us these little free packages of green tea as a thank you. They had a display where you can smell all the amazing flavors they have to offer. Next time, I want to try the Cookie Monster milk tea because it was a black tea, caramel mixture and smelled great. The stupidest ordering system ever. Everything is confusing. They have a counter with multiple lines and then kiosks to order. We were sent back and forth, had trouble with the kiosk so we went back to the counter, everyone ordered drinks and I went to pay and add my hot tea and they said I could pay for their drinks their but have to order my hot drink at the kiosk. Wtf. So I got to pay for everyone else's drinks and then had to go try the kiosk and ended up giving up and not getting anything at all. Just paying for everyone else's. So stupid!!!
