I finally got around to this tiktok famous spot. I wanted a matcha horchata but did not want to make the drive to a farther destination so I settled for trying this place out. It was not that busy at all. It's a small place but there's a good amount of seating for the size of the place. There's parking in the plaza & they have restrooms. I ordered their own matcha horchata and .... ...:. .... I only was able to taste milk. I have no clue how it is made, but I genuinely was like..... I feel like I'm drinking cows milk. I was not impressed at all. I tasted 0 horchata and 0 matcha it was the weirdest experience. The cashier was somewhat nice? It was a minimal interaction. There's screens to order as well so maybe he was not expecting the human interaction. Either way it threw me off unfortunately. I'd have to wait a while to see if I wanna come back and try something different. There's too many coffee and milk tea shops that come to my mind first to visit instead.
One of the best places to pick up boba here in Torrance. I come here time to time and they have a good mix of different and fun drinks. I love the jade ocean drink, has got to be my go to! They also serve food that I would have to try next time but I recommend coming here for a tasty treat! The service was awesome and made our drinks quick and they are super organized.
I literally tried all their matcha flavors and you can always go right with any of them. This place makes everything spot on. Now that I have finished the matcha series I have to tried their food. They close late so it's a cool a place to hang out.
What a cute tea shop with a modern, slightly Japandi-inspired decor that makes the space feel calm and inviting. Their drinks were a pleasant surprise. The Thai tea was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, and the Jasmine tea was fragrant, thick, and perfect at 50% sweetness. The matcha latte was the best drink here for me: earthy, not sweet at all, and with a subtle nuttiness that made it so satisfying. The only miss was the strawberry taro, which leaned too sweet for my taste. Overall, a beautifully designed shop with some truly great drinks.
The perfect spot for a quick and easy grab that's still high quality and delicious! Staff were friendly and efficient. There's also a kiosk you can order at if you need to look at pictures etc. I got the popcorn chicken, mild, and it was plenty of food! Had a good kick but not too spicy. Super hot and fresh. Their bowls also look delicious. Mango fruit tea was super refreshing and they have so many more drinks that I want to try. Super clean place, they have a few small tables and then bigger tables in the corner that you can't see in my picture. I don't think they have a customer bathroom though. Huge free parking lot!

La Cha x The Bowl is a place where many conquest to for a quick snack or drink, however, humbly I took it upon myself to get the "whole meal". Having ordered the Popcorn chicken, and Chicken Katsu, I'll gladly admit I devoured both within a 5 minute time period because of how addicting the flavor was. Call me a fat boy at heart, though I believe La Cha x The Bowl receive the heavy medal on this one.

I got the strawberry matcha which was pretty good. Overall a good experience and drink here I will have to come back and try the Dubai drink next time.
Review #890 2025-062 Drinks Order: Jade Ocean Iced Tea (limeade with pineapple) with Rainbow Jelly $6.00 Mangonada with Crystal Boba $5.00 La Cha x The Bowl is located in a strip mall on the corner of Carson St. & Normandie Ave. The boba shop is bright & spacious with plenty of tables for couples & small groups. Due to the shared space, parking may not be as accessible during lunch/dinner rush since this plaza houses several restaurants. The Bowl order counter/kiosk is on the east/left side, with the men's & women's restroom between La Cha & The Bowl. Thirsty after running some errands, I found La Cha x The Bowl en route home so it was an easy detour, & found a parking spot next to the entrance. Yasss! It was relatively quiet for a mid-afternoon on Saturday. They're relatively new to the South Bay, but what sets them apart is a dual menu of boba & bowls (kinda like Pur Bowls & Nguyen's Kitchen). A brilliant pic of a sea green drink caught my son's eye, & wanted that without knowing what it is. I said what if it's avocado, not exactly his favorite fruit but will grudgingly eat it, & asked if he will drink it. LOL It wasn't; the cashier said it was a limeade with pineapple. And he excitedly nodded & begged for rainbow jelly. Aiyah... this boy! I was craving their mangonada & wondered how their's taste since there's not too many places that make one... let alone a good one. The drink doesn't need any toppings but I wanted crystal boba. Since there was only a pair of orders ahead of us, our drinks arrived pretty quick. If you wanted food, the kiosk is behind you to order from The Bowl; I didn't ask if you can order at La Cha's. I tried a sip of the Jade Ocean & it tastes pretty good if a tad artificial with a nice balance of sweet & tart. It had a decent amount of rainbow jelly, but too much ice. I liked the Mangonada better; it was a refreshing combination of tropical sweetness (mango), tangy & sour (chamoy) notes, & the chamoy is nicely mixed in that you hit the balanced opposing flavors in almost every sip. La Cha's menu consists of: milk teas, matchas, milk foams, iced teas, choco cups, smoothies, slushes, shakes, blendccinos, caramels, lattes, ice & hot coffees with snacks; prices are inline with other South Bay boba shops. The Bowl's menu contains a handful of entrees: chicken teriyaki (mini version available), chicken katsu, beef teriyaki, fried dumplings. Quick & friendly service; no greeting at entry but was acknowledged when we stepped up to order. Their tea wasn't my cuppa tea (my son loved it though), but will definitely be back for the Mangonada! Recommended: Mangonada, Jade Ocean Iced Tea.
During my last review of La Cha x The Bowl I mentioned how I like the "La Cha" part of this place more. I am back for another visit and once again it's for their "La Cha" aka their drinks! This spot recently launched their new fall menu and currently are offering a $1 off all their pumpkin drinks till 10/2/2025. The fall menu consists of a Cloud Pumpkin Milk Tea, Choco Cup Blood Pumpkin Smoothie, Pumpkin Foam Cinnamon Shakes and Iced Pumpkin Macchiato. Price range is $6.90 to $7.50. (Note they also charge an extra $1 convenience fee). I chose to get the Choco Cup Blood Pumpkin Smoothie. It was my first time a Choco Cup and I am a fan! They used an orange colored pumpkin flavored chocolate that they put all over the cup.It was fun to crack the chocolate and mix in with the pumpkin smoothie. The mixture also gave a great, sweet pumpkin flavor. I really like pumpkin and I was so pleased with this drink. It was so flavorful. It made for the perfect drink on this hot day! I'm usually not big on chocolate but something with the mixture of the chocolate and pumpkin, made me quite the fan. I'm getting another choco cup in the future! (Normally choco cups are $1 extra but it is included in the price for this drink). I definitely will be back for more of La Cha's drinks. I wasn't a big fan of the food from before but I'm definitely a fan of their drinks. (Who knows maybe I'll give their food another chance in the future!)
La Cha x The Bowl is a cute store located within a plaza. The parking lot is not too bad considering there are many stores within the plaza. It is cute inside and the signs are definitely visually pleasing. The Bowl is their part that sells food! There are kiosks inside that make it easy to order and the cashier if you desire to use cash. The do take Apple Pay and have various items on their menu from boba to food (popcorn chicken, chicken teriyaki, and chicken katsu. We ordered popcorn chicken, mozzarella sticks and the Oreo matcha milk tea. As a La Cha favorite, their Oreo matcha milk tea is iced with real Oreos! The taste is not too sweet and their matcha is 100% organic non gmo.
The price point here is just right for what you get. I was not blown away by anything I got here and would probably prefer to go elsewhere for a few extra dollars to get better quality and flavor. That said, it's good enough for a place to go when you're on somewhat of a budget. The Dubai Chocolate Frappe was a semi-let down because the advertisement photo looked like it had a lot of chocolate. When I got my order, my first reaction was..."is that it?" The first several sips lacked the chocolate flavor I was anticipating but it was a fairly decent drink. It definitely would have been better with more chocolate as advertised. The Beef Teriyaki Bowl was a generous size; again, it was good enough. The TTEK-BOKKI (Korean Spicy Rice Cake) was extremely filling especially with cheese (which was a $3 up charge). Not sure I'd get this one again if I came back because the price point and the quality just didn't match. Parking is easy and free since it's in a complex with a now abandoned Rite-Aid. Even so, I'm not completely sure I'd come back since this place is small and the setup seems so cramped. It lacked the vibe I thought it would have based on social media posts. The staff could use a bit more energy and enthusiasm like other spots that offer similar items.
This is my go to spot whenever I'm traveling back late to OC from LA but don't want to opt for fast food. It's a little out of the way but worth it! I've tried their viral chocolate cracking drinks and while it's a delicious and pleasant surprise in the form of a drink, what keeps me coming back are their rice bowls and their selection of drinks. Their rice bowls are my favorite, especially the beef teriyaki. Each rice bowl comes with choice of protein, salad, macaroni salad with a grilled pineapple on top. Usually they add a good amount of beef but my last beef bowl was a little sad. Their chicken bowl still remained to be quite packed so maybe they ran out when it came to mine? Not a big deal since majority of the times I've visited, it's never been an issue.
Such a cool little spot to grab some boba and Food as well. We came here after a Soccer game and had 3 minutes before they closed. The doors were still open and we were able to order on their self checkout pad. It was easy and convenient and we were out the door in a few minutes. Love that they had a Goodbye song when it was time to close that's was so smart and a fun touch. We had their cookies and crème one with boba and it was so good! Also had their mango tea and was refreshing and so good. Probably the best boba I've had. Can't wait to try their food next time some of the stuff they had looked good. The inside is a cool hangout spot and cool vibes there and big parking spot as well. The place was clean and the staff were nice and easy going even though we showed up 3 minutes before they closed. La Cha in Torrance is known for their crackling choco cups, and they just launched their new ube series. Their blended ube matcha literally sold me with their advertisement. The iced ube coco is THE perfect refreshing summer drink. I also had to get one of their biscoff foam matchas to try--this was legit the best cookie butter matcha I've ever had. Not to mention, the bright and cozy space makes you want to come and stay a while or get some work done. But we have to talk about the food here. Honestly, every time I've come, the food blows me away. Their bowls taste fresh, healthy, and the Korean spicy BBQ chicken bowl with that cheeeese is just unreal. I had this spot bookmarked for their cracked chocolate cup, but that's part of what made this a pretty terrible experience. I ordered a La Cha coffee with a $1 cracked chocolate cup add on, and when it came out, I took it over to a table and proceeded to squeeze it to crack it, but half of the plastic covering just came off. The made a bunch of the drink spill out onto my clothes, the table, and my phone. You can see from the picture that despite this, the chocolate wasn't even cracked. The woman who noticed and came with a rag to clean the table was really sweet and took the drink over to get the staff making drinks. When I spoke with the staff about what happened and showed them how it got all over my clothes, they just asked what they should do and didn't say or offer anything else. They just handed me the same drink that just spilled on me with a new cover - it was still sticky from the coffee spill. Honestly, I don't have much else I'd want to say about the drink itself given how terrible the service and experience were, but it was a bit too sweet and there weren't options to reduce the sweetness on this drink at the kiosk. Definitely won't be back. read more

I've been hearing about the viral cracking chocolate drinks and had to come by and try after I had my ramen. I got the Dubai chocolate drink which consisted of a pistachio frappe with chocolate on top as well as Knafeh sprinkles and nuts. That was about $8 but because I wanted the cracking chocolate it was a $1 extra. Would I get the Dubai chocolate again? Probably not but I'm looking forward to trying more of their drinks! Parking wasn't too bad. There's a lot of parking. What I really liked about this place is that there's 2 different areas to pay. The cashier only handles cash and then on a tablet you can order and pay via card. I love the decor. It's pretty spacious you can do some computer work if needed. La Cha has got to be one of my favorite go-to spots in Carson. Drinks are always good and consistent, the Oreo Shake is def one of my favorites! Not to mention, the service is always top tier. I had the pleasure of being served by Nicky today, and her service is always outstanding. I asked her for a recommendation today, and she put me on to the Oreo and Thai tea shake. Needless to say, it's gonna be one of my new favorites. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Need a quick go-to sweet spot that offers a wide-variety? La Cha x The Bowl is a cool spot to get your quick bite to eat or sweet drink. They offer various speciality drinks, which all sounded refreshing. Customers can order from the kiosk or in person. It was a busy Sunday afternoon, and my 2 drinks and snacks were ready in less than 10 minutes, which was fast. We ordered the choco cup matcha, Oreo matcha blended drink, and popcorn chicken (wish it was spicy). They also have the viral Dubai chocolate dessert and drinks if you're feeling adventurous. Been here a couple times with my gf and we love going here. The milk tea drinks are made perfectly balanced between tea and the flavor of your drink choice. However, this time I wanted to try their seasonal Biscoff Shake and it did not disappoint. I ordered it with coffee jelly and I loved it. The drink tasted just like biscoff and I love the cup drizzle of the biscoff spread. Paired with coffee jelly it just works well together. Give it a try if you like Biscoff Staff is always nice and friendly and the place is decently sized. Note: it will get pretty busy and packed during weekend nights. Ambiance feels just like a normal boba shop, nothing special there. Hope they keep this item as a part of their permanent menu! read more
We came here on a weekend evening and it was pretty packed! There's kiosks that you can order from and assorted seating throughout the cafe. I love the images of the food offerings on the walls. I got the milk tea and it was great! I wish I came here on an empty stomach so I could've tried the food options. Otherwise, the cafe was very busy, so some of the tables were not wiped down. I didn't think I would like this place as much as I do now, but it turns out that I am a frequent return customer. I will say that the most impressive thing about their menu is their vast selection of drink options. I was literally scrolling for almost a minute just to look at all of their drinks. So far, I can confidently say that the coconut coffee smoothie is amazing. I wouldn't mind getting this a couple times a week for my caffeine fix. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is also very good. Lastly, their pistachio dubai chocolate frappe is amazing if you have a big sweet tooth! read more

I've been to La Cha many times and usually love this place. Their drinks are consistently good, the food is great, and it's been one of my go-to boba spots in the area. But unfortunately, this visit was really disappointing--and honestly a bit NASTY! I ordered an Oreo matcha boba, and halfway through the drink I noticed small hard pieces. At first, I thought maybe it was just an odd texture, but then I ended up choking on a larger piece of plastic. That's when I realized there were actual plastic fragments mixed into the drink. This shouldn't happen under any circumstance. It made me question how the drink was prepared and what kind of quality control is in place. I'm pretty upset about the experience, especially since I've always had good visits here in the past. What they can do better: -Improve quality control in drink preparation to ensure no foreign objects end up in customers' drinks. - Double-check mixing equipment, lids, and storage containers for cracks or broken parts that could contaminate beverages. - Train staff to slow down when making drinks, even during rushes, to prevent safety issues like this. I really hope this was a one-time issue, because La Cha has always been solid. But safety is non-negotiable, and I want other customers to be aware. I'd love to come back eventually, but only if I feel confident that something like this won't happen again. read more

The place is clean and packed. I was contemplating to get the dubai because it seems a popular drink there but the pistachio matcha attracted me so i got that one instead .. The mango one is for my son, he said it's yum definitely not too sweet which we love. Then the matcha, wow!!! This was the first time i have tried matcha with pistachio and it was heaven I feel like i can drink it everyday if i dont care about my sugar. Definitely 10/10 for me read more
Cool little milk tea and matcha drink place geared towards to-go ordering. It's got some small outdoor patio space that's nice on a sunny day. There's bowls here too, but I just went for a coffee milk tea with jelly. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet but from the looks of the other options I'm sure there's really sweet ones like the taro or Oreo milk tea. I door dashed and the order was ready right on time. A small boba shop that serves some food, nearby Harbor-Ucla medical center. Its convenient and food seems to be good. We only got a chance to try the drinks. We ordered a matcha frapp with the choco cup and a matcha horchata. The matcha they use was pretty good. No bitterness, but wish the flavor could have been a little stronger, but definitely better than other places. The choco cup adds extra sweetness and creaminess to the match frapp. The matcha horchata was refreshing but a little heavy on the cinnamon but not bad at all. Wait qas a bit long since it was the dinner rush, but they got out drinks as fast as they could. Will definitely be coming back to try some of their other drinks and hopefully the food. read more

Came to this place after seeing it a bit while passing by, glad I stopped! It's small inside but a cute little shop, has some good choices but you can tell it's known for the drinks. I ordered off the kiosk and decided to try the banana coffee, and wow I loved it. I took one sip and was hooked. I would go back to try something else too but going to be hard to not want this bad boy again. read more
Been here twice. We had the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Frappe & Choco Cup Pistachio Blend. For the Choco cup, you have to squeeze it first before drinking so the chocolate will mix with the drink. I learned it the hard way. As for the Dubai. Chocolate Pistachio Frappe, you got to try it. The best so far!! read more

A friend told me about this place. It's actually two places in one. La Cha - drinks and The Bowl - Asian cuisine. The place is small in a strip mall off of Carson and Normandie with a shared parking lot behind it is close to the Rite-Aid. As you enter, The Bowl has digital menus available on the right, with a wall for their hung menus. I supposed their kitchen it tucked away somewhere but it was not visible to me. The main area is La Cha and a shared dining area for both. I was told about the infamous Dubai Chocolate Pistaschio Frappe with the Cracking Chocolate shell along the inside of the cup. There were many people in the place and at least 5 people working The Frappe was amazing. So much fun to crack the chocolate shell by squeezing the cup. The Pistaschios and crumble on the top was delicious. I'm sure the drink has a zillion calories but YOLO!!! Free WiFi, with network and password printed on your receipt. my la cha x the bowl order: -pistachio matcha -matcha all the way (double matcha) -dubai chocolate pistachio frappe w/ cracking chocolate cup -strawmelon snow cup -chicken katsu bowl literally the perfect spot for it all! la cha has SO MANY drink options but i had to try the matcha ofc. the double matcha is def my fav, a bit on the sweeter side but creamy and the foammm! also love the strawmelon snow cup, the cereal pieces add a nice touch to it, just the ideal dessert for summer. la cha also has food options which is a great spot for lunch or even dinner since they close late read more
This place is a great boba spot and has actual food. I stumbled upon this place on my way home from taking my dog to the dog park on a Friday evening. Lots of parking Lots of food and drink options There's lots of seating inside and outside as well in the back/ patio area. The interior is clean, cool posters and has a really unique mirrors/ windows( ?)In the ceiling ! Ordering is easy on the kiosks, staff is really friendly and can help suggest things to the counter if you need help. I ended up trying the Dubai chocolate pistachio frappe w "crackling chocolate" The barista explained they line the cup with chocolate and freeze it so when you are drinking it as you squeeze the cup the chocolate crackles and breaks up into your drink The Dubai chocolate drink did not disappoint !!!!! It's SO RICH, creamy !!! The flavor of pistachio is luxurious, the shredded filo dough comes through as a nice nutty crunch. The chocolate is not too overpowering. The drink comes with a spoon in case you want to eat the top later of pistachio / chocolate , I tried a bite and mixed it into my drink The crackling chocolate was cool but just added chocolate crunch in the drink, didn't make too much of a difference in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend this place and the drink ! The drink is 11/10 !! Gotta try it! maybe a once in a while since there's probably a lot of sugar. So just be aware of that ! Will definitely come back to try their food and other beverages :) read more
