Crew members are always courteous and patient, especially when newer customers have questions about the menu. As a bystander in line and a former food service worker myself, that quality of patience is deeply appreciated from afar. Back of the kitchen seems to have a good amount of support, which explains why the service has been quick for nearly all my visits. You can't go wrong with any of their macarons. But I find myself coming back for the variety of drinks. It's in a lot with other businesses and parking can be a little weird and crowded depending on the time you go. I went during the weekday -- afternoon and there were hardly any parks. Oh and don't bother trying to phone your order in for pickup they "no longer do that" -- perhaps folks were calling and placing an order just to not pickup their items!? If you absolutely want your order ready at arrival I was told to do it thru their app by one of the staff over the phone. Ordered the Thai tea with Oat Milk and boba. They didn't seal the plastic on the drink tight and when I went to put the straw in it made a bit of a mess. Other than that the drink was on point. Like that they have room enough if you needed to study you can. I saw some people with their laptops doing work -- so that was cool. I give this location 4.0 rating Service was quick. Recommendations were made, we all wanted less sweet, some were not able to be made less sweet. They had two long tables where it looked like people were doing homework. There was quite a bit of people on a Tuesday evening. The lobby and ordering area was quite small. We were a party of 6 and took up the whole front area. More people kept coming in. Good for 7 leaves, but it got crowded real fast. I liked my drink, but confused at first because I kept calling it Sweet cream, and wondering why the cream was salty. When I looked up the name of my drink it made sense. I would definitely come back and try another drink, maybe stay a little bit longer if there is space at the tables. read more

Not gonna lie, I'm a little skeptical when I try new boba places because I've been disappointed many a time with flavorless milk, but that was not the case here! I loved the assam milk tea! I got it easy sweet and it was perfect. The boba was also really good, chewy and perfectly flavored. The good: I got the Spanish latte (hot) and mung bean milk tea (iced). I liked how there was a library area inside the sitting area that had all sorts of books in different genres for different ages. For kids, there were picture books and some toys. I haven't seen the library in other 7 Leaves Cafe locations. The staff members were upbeat and friendly. The coffee was appropriately sweetened. I like that they occasionally have seasonal and new menu items. They have different sized drinks and you can adjust the ice in them. The bad: They don't have a drive-thru like some of 7 Leaves Cafe's other locations. The mung bean milk tea was a bit too sweet for me but overall I like the drink and it's a great option if you need caffeine free drinks. I love when places offer "teas" that kids can drink that don't have caffeine. They don't have any outdoor seating options. Parking: pretty busy lot on the weekends. A lot of the stores/restaurants close at a later time, so lots more foot traffic. Service: they can give samples to some drinks. They know their menu decently well. Food: Go for the hibiscus! It's not super tea flavored but it also does enough to give you the baby jolt. The best part of the location is that there's an area for people wanting to get some work or studying done. It's nice and spacious and a good little cafe. What stands out about this place though that also made it perfect was the following: Open until 10pm on a Sunday -- great for hanging or studying!! Many outlets!! Lots of table space. I've been a regular at this location for almost 5 years! I first found out about it during the early pandemic days when they would have us line up outdoors. Since then, this place has been consistently great and I've never been disappointed once! Their mobile app is efficient and punctual most of the time. Usually I'd order 5-10 minutes before getting to the store, and they (almost always) have it ready. When they don't, it takes less than 2 minutes. They really mastered (if not close to mastering) pumping out orders efficiently! Product (7.5/10 to 8/10): So it's not my favorite milk tea, but it definitely hits the spot. The prices are fair for the amount of drink you get. Milk tea w/ boba nowadays cost around $6-7, the serving is much less, and most taste watered down. 7 Leaves definitely knows their teas. The balance between tea strength and milk is perfect (probably around 40% to 60% if not 50% to 50%). It would be nice if we could finely tune the sweetness using the 0% to 100% scale (w/ 25% increments) rather than less sweet and regular sweet. This is because the drinks lean towards too sweet for me (even at less sweet). Service (10/10): This is their strong point! They've been consistent for 5 years and I really admire that. That's why I finally decided to sit down and write a review (because they deserve it)! I feel friendly vibes every time I visit. I'm always asked if there's anything else they can do to serve me better. I usually reject, but just asking that makes me feel they're serious about their job and appreciated as a customer! Ambience (7/10): While not the most spacious location, it has big tables (for groups) and counter seats. I also usually order take-out and haven't sat in enough. I discovered recently (through the app), that they also serve regular coffee / espresso drinks. So it's perfect for mornings when I want to grab a quick coffee or when I'm with a buddy that isn't too big on boba drinks. This is a big perk as it's only less than 10 minutes drive. I love 7 leaves Mung Bean Milk Tea and their House Coffee. I always get one of those or even sometimes both. Their mung bean milk tea is one of a kind. Refreshing light coconut and pandan flavor followed by tea. Their house coffee is strong, nutty and perfectly creamy. I've also had their Mint Sereno, it's similar to Phil's popular Mint Mojito. I wish 7 leaves would make it in a bigger cup. It only comes in a small size. Their Jasmine Milk Tea is good as well but I feel like it's on the lighter side and I often taste coffee at the end. My go-to drink here is the yeun-yeung, which is the classic drink mixing tea and coffee together and what they do right is that they have this beautifully fragrant tea that only comes from using quality tea that is steeped with care. The coffee flavor comes through nicely and they both cut each other, leaving you with the satisfaction of having both ! Also nicely sweet, but not too sweet. I also got the green thai tea, which has pandan and mint notes compared to your typical orange thai tea and thus is a little less sweet but still really enjoyable, if not preferable! I'm a preschool teacher, and a few years back, a parent brought my staff and I coffee from 7 leaves, and from there, the story was written. Their house coffee is one of my go-to drinks, and that sea cream that they top it with is no doubt, the icing on the cake. I didn't get to take a picture of it, but my latest fave is their matcha soy tea with custard pudding topped with sea cream and a shot of espresso. They don't have food, but they have the option of macarons. You can order from the app that is beneficial to rack up points towards free drinks and, of course, save you some time. Although, they are pretty quick with walk-in drinks as well. There are tables and seats inside for studying or just hanging out. Staff seems to communicate pretty well with one another and with customers. Highly recommend because I will keep coming back too! It was sweeter than I expected but what was odd was that it didn't come with the taro bits that it had always come with. When I asked about it, they told me the large doesn't come with taro bits, which seems odd. If had I had ordered a regular size, that would have come with taro bits but if I order a large, it doesn't? I have never experienced this in the years of ordering this drink at this location. This is how unintelligent the worker was: I had chicken curry from the Japanese place further down and knew I'd smell like curry. When I walked in I even told her and of course that worker was rude. Used to have to drive down south from the Valley to go to any 7 Leaves. But moved to Gardena a couple years ago and pretty much come here on to this location on the regular now. Out of all the 7 Leaves locations I've been to, I've never had a single complaint about this one. Ample parking, plenty of space if you need to study or do some work in the common area, and the service is always top notch. My go to is the Assam Milk tea, but frequently get the Black & Tan on their secret menu as well. Either way, the Assam Milk Tea is needed if you need some energy to stay alert and awake while drinking something that just tastes hella good without being too extremely strong on the espresso/coffee tasing side. The House Coffee also is solid AF. Sometimes they have samples of their new drinks on the menu too. If you go often, it's best to get the app since you'll get points towards free drinks and they sometimes have seasonal promotions. Can't count the amount of times I've been here since moving to the South bay but I literally have nothing bad to say about this 7 Leaves at all. read more
