    Goi ga, dry beef pho
    Candyce P.

Came here on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty. The interior is super clean and modern and brightly lit. We ordered the normal pho, dry beef pho, goi ga, and pho banh mi as well as a couple drinks. The drinks were good but nothing special tbh. We really enjoyed the dry beef pho with sate sauce -- super flavorful and loved all of the textures. We also really liked the freshness of the chicken in the goi ga. The pho banh mi was really unique and the meat was tender and had a Smokey flavor (was a bit on the pricey side tho). They do not skimp on the protein in any of the dishes either! All in all, solid restaurant -- everything tasted fresh and clean, nothing was too oily or greasy. So glad to have another Vietnamese restaurant in the area!

First thing that really impressed me was the decor and vibe of this place. I really love the lighting and the plants. It's a pretty hip place. I'd describe the vibe as pretty casual. Really quick service so if you want to eat and go, it's definitely good for that. Servers are not too chatty or anything but pretty attentive. We got the crispy chicken and the dry tofu noodle. The crispy chicken is not like a popcorn chicken. It's a bone-in crispy chicken wing with like a sweet and sour sauce. It's good, but expect to eat with your hands! Super crispy. Dry tofu noodle was also tasty. I enjoyed the bean sprouts and basil with it. Honestly, it's a great quick lunch spot with decent prices. We didn't try the drinks they serve there but they look good too from what I had seen around me.

So excited to have a local spot for bahn mi and boba drinks! Food overall is solid for Vietnamese food in south OC. I also love their green Thai tea, which is harder to find at tea shops. Servers were all very attentive and sweet, letting us know about their special promotion. Very nicely decorated. A great spot if you're looking for a cafe vibe, quick lunch, or sit down meal. You should check it out!

Finally a place in Lake Forest that rivals Garden Grove/Westminster Viet food! I'm so glad this opened here. So far I've had banh mi, pho dac biet, and cafe sua da. All were excellent! Authentic flavors with some modern twists, like brisket banh mi you dip in pho broth. Can't wait to go back and try more!

I was excited to see a new pho and bahn mi place open up around here as there's not that many options.

I am giving this place a 5/5 rating solely on their pho (and bun bo hue)…read more Their broth was very flavorful and had a lot of depth for being free of msg! There aren't a lot of restaurant that offer bun bo hue, so I thought I'd also give that a try. I ordered the pho special, but swapped the pho broth for BBH because I saw another review on here mention they did that - and I am so happy I did! It was really tasty and flavorful with the perfect hint of spicy! I would say I'm pretty picky with food and I would bring my Vietnamese parents here. 5/5 on their taro smoothie. I like that it tastes like fresh taro. I don't really like when it tastes too artificial or too sweet, like the taro milk teas from boba shops. It's also extremely light. Super refreshing on hot days. For being a pho shop in lake Forest and not having to drive all the way to Westminster or bolsa. 5/5 on their pho 5/5 on their bun bo hue 5/5 on their vermicelli noodle dishes. I liked their fish sauce with the sambal 3/5 on the shaken beef (bo luc lac) they don't give you a lot and texture was a bit inconsistent. Flavor was good but wouldn't order it again for the price 2/5 on the chicken curry (ca ri ga) I'm used to Vietnamese curry being a bit sweeter and more coconut/creamier? It tasted a little unbalanced, not enough cream and too much spices (tumeric + cumin + coriander). Slightly salty and watery. I didn't like the chicken either . Service is good when you walk in to be seated and when ordering, but they don't always check in if you need water. You just flag them down. Not a big deal. I'm more interested in how the food tastes. I like that the inside reminds me of typical pho restaurants. Nice and simple. Here for the food! I'll be back!

The charbroiled pork noodles (bun) is a big portion with fresh veggies and generous with the pickled daikon and carrots. The large chicken pho hits the spot. The shrimp spring rolls are also solid. We only had an issue one time when the way they packed two pho broths and other dishes in one bag in such a way that it was precarious and spilled out everywhere on the drive home. I get wanting to conserve plastic bags but it wasnt practical or smart and they were unwilling to repack. To order takeout, it's the old fashioned way - by phone. They have a decent website but no option to order online.

I enjoyed the food BUT the lack of service was disappointing. I pay for service; not to be treated as if a simple request is an annoyance.

I grew up eating Bun thit nuong - vercimilli with grilled pork and it is rare to find a restaurant that can nail this exact flavor .The rice noodle was not overcooked, they incluced pickle, chopped veggies and egg roll, every condiment was on point . The star of the dish was the grilled pork and it was perfectly seasoned. Such a refreshing dish to eat in the summer. I also tried their Garlic Noodle with shrimp and the shrimps were giant! Not overcooked. Very nice seasoning. I'd like the green sauce to be condensed but their version is on the liquidly side. Overall, I will come back next time to try other dishes!

This review is specifically for the banh mi. I had photos from a visit last year, and comparing…read morethem to what I received this time, the difference was noticeable, especially in the amount of pickled carrots, which felt reduced. The sandwiches themselves were on the smaller side, so at around $12-$15 each, they felt a bit overpriced. The pork was slightly dry and lacked flavor, and the braised pork belly, though cut into large chunks, also fell short in seasoning. The biggest issue, however, was the bread. It tasted a bit stale, which really affected the overall quality of the sandwich. I used to enjoy their banh mi, but based on this recent visit, I would probably pass next time.
