    Not good.
    Tracy Y.

I read all the great reviews and thought what can go wrong I am just getting a boba milk tea. Got there, the gal made mine right away. The place is clean. I took a photo and I was going to post it to my IG story but instead I will post it here. I took one taste and then waited until I got home and threw it away. There was 0 tea taste. The boba was a day old and overall it should be called "milk water with day old boba". Reply to owner: is the stale Boba a part of the recipe?

I loooooved my drink from Bobapop! I got the brown sugar oat milk tea with boba, 100% sweet and less ice. It was very flavorful and a good price for a large size. Inside there is a decent amount of seating and it's decorated so cute! It's also very clean and organized. Along with yummy drinks and a cute store, the service was great! The gal making the drinks was so sweet and helpful. There's also a little parking lot in the back for parking.

Their drinks are good but please change your lids. It's almost impossible to open with the straw. My Thai tea exploded everywhere today and ruined my sweater.

Bobapop Tea Bar is a nifty little boba shop that's located on Harbor and 19th St in Costa Mesa with a lively pop vibe that have French Bulldogs as their mascot and art decor. My girlfriend and I aren't usually around this area and we just finished having dinner and this place was nearby so why not give it a shot! FOOD Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea This was my girlfriend's drink but I had a sip and it's not bad! Definitely a different take on milk tea but I would say why not give it a try if you're deciding on it! Brown Sugar Latte I'm a sucker for brown sugar but yes I did enjoy this drink and wouldn't mind ordering it again! I believe it's a crowd-favorite as well! Matcha Cream Croffle First off. Croffle = Croissant + Waffle. It's an interesting fusion that I don't think I've ever seen around but we had the Matcha Cream Croffle and wow that was pretty darn good! We had it for to-go so it wasn't as fresh but I can imagine how it would taste if you were to eat it there! Highly recommend trying it out if you're thinking about hanging out in the shop! OVERALL Not a bad find! Our visit was on a whim and I actually enjoyed our drinks and croffle. The only thing I could say that can improve is the boba, it seemed that it wasn't as fresh. Tasted like it was beginning to harden and should be softer/warmer when served. Other than that though, great atmosphere, 2 different entrances, they even have merchandise which is cool to see and awesome Frenchie decor if you're into that! Thanks for the drinks and croffle Bobapop Tea Bar! We'll visit again if we're around there area!

Cute little boba shop my boyfriend found on Yelp as we were in the area. The gps directed us to the back side of the building, which is where the parking is. If you are traveling on food you an enter in the front, which is facing the Main Street. They have a variety of drinks to choose from. We ordered thru the self ordering kiosk. Everything is there. I like how it gives you the option for size of drink, ice level, sweetness level and topping you want. I ordered the jasmine brown rice milk tea with boba and my boyfriend got the Vietnamese coffee with coffee jelly. I do wish there was an option to control your toppings (example: easy boba, regular boba, extra boba) Because when I got my drink it was full of boba (not a bad thing for someone who likes a lot of boba in their drink). And when my bf ordered his Vietnamese coffee, it didn't specify the size. He really liked his drink because of the strong coffee taste. I tasted it and it was very coffee forward. This place is cute as their theme seemed to be focused on French bulldogs. They had few seating, and merchandise and accessories for sale.

    Coconut Slush with Grass Jelly

Bobapop is such a cute little boba spot with an extensive menu, and everything I've tried has been delicious. My go-to drink is the coconut slush with grass jelly--so good. I did branch out and try the croissant waffle, which wasn't for me. While it's a fun and unique concept, I found it a bit dry and lacking flavor aside from the drizzle of honey or syrup on top. It's located across from the Triangle, so it can get busy depending on the time of day. Parking is a bit limited and tucked in the back, but aside from that, I'd absolutely recommend Bobapop.

Cute boba shop that's aesthetic, clean, with amazing drinks. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Coconut Slush w/ grass jelly and it was so smooth and not too sweet. Definitely would recommend this place. The tapioca had amazing texture. Coconut Slush w/ grass jelly: 9.5/10

I brought my son here after dinner for popping boba- his dream come true. Parking was a bit tough in the lot behind the store. Inside the shop is tiny but perfect for what it had. My son loved looking at the stickers, pens, and water tumbler. He ordered a strawberry popping boba and absolutely loved it! He said, "this is my favorite drink! 10/10 I want to come back again!!" Will definitely return. We also loved the cute Christmas tree!

Pros: parking in back of store, clean, quaint and cute! They take Cash/Card therefore no payment discrimination, hours are weekdays (Mon.-Thursday) 10:30am-8pm, Weekends beginning Friday/Saturday 11:30-9pm & Sunday 11:30-8pm. There is a Customer Restroom with purchase code and seating cafe with 2 per table of 3. Cons: none yet! Our first visit here, we were so happy they took cash! Bathroom code was given after purchase. Drinks we purchased were the BobaPop Milk Tea (nondairy), easy ice, 70% sweetness was perfect! And, their Roasted Oolong iced tea with Sea Salt Foam 30% sweetness, easy ice. It was delicious. Cannot wait to come back. Staff was sweet, pleasant and all smiles. Location: On Harbor and West 19th street beside Triangle Square and 24 Hour Fitness.

    Thai Tea

The initial wait for my drink was much longer than expected. When I finally received my Thai tea, it was too strong for my taste. I appreciated that the staff was willing to remake it, but unfortunately the remake was still too strong. The staff was polite and accommodating, but between the long wait and the drink not turning out as expected, the overall experience was disappointing.

My favorite boba shop in the OC! They have so many different flavors, but my favorite is the Brown Sugar Boba and the Taro Milk Tea. The Brown Sugar is always my go to, but I recently tasted the Taro one and it's now one of my faves. It tastes like fruity pebbles. The boba is also chewy, sweet and not too hard. The service is always great when you go. The workers are friendly, but they also have a self-order kiosk. It's always empty when I go, so it's pretty quiet and there's a lot of tables to sit at. The decoration is also soooo cute (such cute dogs) and they also have stickers/keychains on sale. I've never had a problem with parking too behind the building.

The family and I randomly tried this spot out and it was pretty good. I ordered the Coco Thai Tea Slush and the fam got a Thai Tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and a Taro Milk Tea. I really liked my drink and everyone else said there's were good as well as the boba itself.

Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. We waited outside by the pick-up window after ordering. Service was fast for the doughnut and my coffee, but they seemed to forget about my husband's cold brew, so I had to ask about it after a few minutes of waiting. Not a big deal, just was surprised it took so long when it was such an easy order! We both enjoyed the buttery/salty doughnut, and my coffee was delightful! Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I've literally tried 3 separate times and been told they simply ran out of tomatoes. If it's that inconsistent, I'd hope they'd take it off their menu and post it as a special. But what bothers me the most is that the service is so nonchalant that it comes off as rude. No greeting, smile, positive energy.. giving off a vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else than behind the coffee bar. Sad to see the experience decline as it's been a favorite of mine and somewhere i always have hyped up to friends. Hopefully things pick up.
