I needed a gutter downspout removed and sealed at one end and a new hole made for a rain chain at the other. At the first rain water poured from the place where the previous downspout was supposedly sealed. Bobby told me he would personally fix the leaking seal, but instead he sent the same helper who had botched the seal the first time. Because Bobby was "on his way", I asked the helper to wait and have Bobby do the job. He ignored my request and was finished when Bobby arrived. Bobby noted there was still a little water from a previous rain, which means the helper applied the replacement sealer on wet metal. I heard the helper tell Bobby the sealant needed to cure 9 hours, but Bobby flooded the gutter with water because it hadn't been cleaned the first time the helper came. Then Bobby told me they'd used silicone to reseal the hole, and from everything I've read silicone does not adhere well to galvanized steel and will fail quickly. Bobby told me that all sealant for gutters is silicone and I knew that wasn't true, which I've confirmed with other companies that seal gutter leaks. I wrote an email to Bobby requesting he either refund the $200 cash I paid or come and try again to do the job again using a sealant that works with galvanized steel. He did not even bother to respond. I am going to have to hire another repair person to have this job done correctly as it is apparently not something Bobby is willing to do. If you need gutter repairs done, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere, possibly with someone licensed who is more knowledgeable. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS RATED THIS COMPANY AS "F". "BBB confirmed this company had not obtained a necessary license from Contractors State License Board." According to BBB, this is a required competency license. read more

We hired Bobby's gutters to repair a sagging gutter that was causing excessive water runoff. They showed up over an hour late from the two hour timeframe they provided, with no phone call. While here, they replace one screw on a separate gutter from the one we were having the issue with and charged us $100. When the excessive water continued, Bobby's advised us they would come back for free under the warranty. Again they were an hour past the provided timeframe without a phone call so we missed them - no work was completed. Now they are unresponsive to two email correspondence to schedule a third appointment. Very dissatisfied with their services all around, it seems like they are too busy to provide quality service to each customer. read more

I am giving Bobby's Gutter cleaning two stars because my gutters were cleaned, but my experience with them was strange. They were a bit passive aggressive, and based on their messages to me they seemed to have assumed that I would have trouble paying them the $200.00 gutter cleaning bill. My gutters were cleaned on 02/14/2023 and I paid Bobby's Gutter Cleaning that same day, within several hours of their service being completed, so I have no idea what that was all about. There are other gutter cleaning services that are probably just as effective and similarly priced, without the passive aggression and negative assumptions. This experience is disappointing because as much as I like supporting local businesses, you have to be able to talk to people to get repeat business. That's just how that works. read more

Beware!!!!!! He says he guarantees his work but he doesn't. lies all lies!!!! I would like to start by saying that I was feeling really good with Bobby's work, I even gave him a great review and I would have recommended him to anyone. Until two months ago when an item he fixed came off completely. I called a couple of time left messages he never returned my calls, I then decided to call him from my husband phone and he happened to answer. I told him my situation he agreed to come and fix it, but failed to show up! I tried calling him again but I have yet to get a call back. My gutters still leak and an item he said he would fix was not places on my roof correctly and came off completely, at the first sign of wind. I believe we all make mistakes but the reason I give him 2 is because he wasn't willing to stand by his work and fix it. I'm really cause we paid a little over $700 to get everything done and it wasn't done right. I'm pretty sure it would have been an easy fix. I have called no answer !!!!! Bobby cleaned our gutters a week before the unexpected rain in May. We quickly determined that two of our downspouts leaked. So badly, that I actually took videos during the rain. He came back out (after a no show, late, etc.), checked the downspouts and he said his work was good. But he said we needed more downspouts, bigger downspouts, whatever. I asked him 3 times to watch the videos and he didn't want to. We have had our gutters professionally cleaned (not by Bobby) every year and have never had the mess that we do now. We've never had any professional gutter cleaner tell us we needed more and/or bigger downspouts. I have a new home in Folsom and unfortunately one of my gutter downspouts became detached from the stucco wall. I called my builder 3x and after a month of waiting got no help. I called a couple other businesses on Yelp but they were either too busy or didn't make small repairs. I called Bobby and he was very courteous and was willing to make the small trip from Roseville to Folsom. He explained that it was a minor repair and wouldn't take long to fix. He should up 2 days later as he promised. He quickly made a lasting repair. In addition he inspected my other downspouts and gave me some tips on proper maintenance of my tile roof. Bobby came out timely and gave us affordable recommendations on how to divert our downspouts. He also saved us some money on the parts! My home is surrounded by oak trees so needless to say every year is a battle with clogged gutters and downspouts. This year I decided to install leaf guards to hopefully win the war. I wanted to use a small local company to do the work. Based on Yelp and other feedback I chose Bobby's Gutter service. I was presently surprised by Bobby's responsiveness, attention to detail and perseverance to ensure things were done right. I had a particularly troublesome downspout that took a number of visits to clear. I have found in the past once a service provider is paid it can be a nightmare to get them back out to fix a problem. The downspout in question was ~30 feet long and had a piece of wood lodged in the middle of it. I also had some roof repair being done. Check the Work. Contracted with Bobby to repair 40+ feet of gutter on a 2 story house. He recommended gutter guards which I agreed to and quoted a price. He came out and did the work. I, foolishly, left a check since I had an appointment and he was finishing up. From the ground everything looked good. That weekend got up on a ladder to check the work and he only installed about 15 feet of the gutter guard. I emailed Bobby twice with no response. I recommend going with another company Update 7-23-18 Bobby, we did have an email conversation and you stopped responding. I believe I gave you a dimension of 40+ feet of gutter repair. I re-measured and there is 45 feet. You gave me a range of cost which I agreed to and in the end you increased it and I agreed. My negative review stems from only installing 15' of gutter guard when I understood you were installing for the entire length. read more

Had a 9 a.m. appointment today with Bobby to clean our gutters. At 8 a.m. my husband called him to give him our gate code so he could get in. At that time Bobby said he'd be about an hour late. Husband told him we had to leave the house by 1 p.m, as we had an out of town commitment. Bobby said no problem. by 11:15 we still hadn't heard or seen him. Husband called back and cancelled. He quoted me a fair price and proceeded to clean the gutters. They were a mess! In the gutters, he found and cleaned out chunks of stucco, bird poop, a strip of roofing staples, and even a plastic Snapple bottle that was left by one of builders (yes, really!).
