I contacted Bardo to get a bid on fixing a leaky roof. He responded and we made an appointment. He got tied up at a project that he was already repairing that Saturday morning. He sent his son Jose to my home. Jose was amazing! He & I climbed up on my roof. He was knowledgeable & removed the heavy concrete tiles & diagnosed all the problems that I was having, and rather than jumping right into a huge construction estimate, he cleaned all the areas by removing all the tiles around my 2 chimneys and 2 skylights as well as cleaning the gutter on my patio cover. All for a very reasonable price. He then gave me his card and said to get back to him if that did not solve the leak problem. This company has been nearly impossible to communicate with and sent an invoice for a job that was never done. I have had to text multiple times to get any sort of response from the start. They couldn't do a certain day due to the rain but didn't bother to tell me or reschedule until I checked again the day of. After rescheduling, the job was allegedly completed, but we never heard or saw anyone, so to be sure I requested photos before paying the invoice. I asked for them 3 times before getting a response. It turned out the job was never completed! It had been over 3 weeks since it was supposedly done. I can't imagine if I had just paid the invoice without checking. We will not be trying this company again. If they had been communicative and honest we would have been happy to use them again for bigger jobs and recommend them to other people. Instead we feel like it was an attempted scam at worst, terrible communication and not caring about their customers at best. read more

I had a few old whirlybirds on my roof that needed replacing. One was squealing so loud that it was probably keeping my neighbors up! I also had an old satelitte dish that needed to be removed as well. After requesting several quotes and in depth vetting, I decided to go with Bardo Ramirez Roofing. First of all, communication with Mariela was quick, responsive and good! I provided pictures and received a competitive quote. Scheduling was a breeze. The roofers arrived on time and went to work. They communicated well with the project and cleaned up afterwards as well. They even showed me a video of the roof after their work was completed. It looked 100% better and no more noise! The price point was very competitive. Let's see if there are any leaks during the rainy season though....I don't recall if there was a warranty but I'll update my review if/when I obtain an answer to that question. I don't normally write reviews especially one critical of a small business but the owner asked me to... I called Bardo to help with a leak on our roof. He asked me to text my address, and he was quick to respond and came out the same day. He thought he localized the problem and didn't delay in fixing it right then. I also had him do a little gutter work and he happily obliged. Great experience the first time so he asked me to write a review to help him out Next rainstorm, unfortunately the leak continued. I texted him and got no response so I called a couple of days later and he asked me to text me the address again. 3 days passed and no word at all from him. I then called and texted again and his text response was "see u tomorrow." I have not heard from him since. I certainly understand things can come up but to have no follow-up communication whatsoever is unacceptable, not to mention unprofessional to not follow through and fix the original problem. Later, I texted him, he said he was waiting on a delivery. Could have infomed me since I took off from work. Agreed on him coming over Friday 8-3-2023, 9 - 10. Again no call or anything. I had the original chimney on my home with wood siding for 30 years. I must have spoken to 7 different contractors. Bardo roofing came out and investigated a leak that we had been worried about for some time. We had received a previous estimate that was so large that we wanted to get a second opinion. So after taking a look, Mr. Ramirez was able to quickly find the problem and it turned out to be a small one that he fixed within a few hours. At the same time he inspected the rest of the roof, cleaned all the gutters and replaced four aging seals around roof vents. I had contracted with another roofing company in November 2019,for a total roof replacement. December 24, 2019, my tenant called with a roof leak in their bedroom. I called the roofer I was contracted with, and could not get a response. Out of frustration and an obligation to my tenants, and worry of water damage, I ended up cold calling a bunch of roofers on yelp. Bardo answered my call and came out the next day, provided a roof repair, and within 2 days started my roof replacement. I mostly appreciated that he answered my phone calls, and the lines of communication were wide open for me. He and his company went above and beyond by providing extra services at no charge. Also one of the other roofers had recommended I contact Bardo, stating he does all of his flat roof jobs and is the best. I requested their service for a re-roofing project. The new roof looks great, although I do not have much to compare it to. I cannot speak much about the pricing since I am inexperienced in the field, but my re-roofing project was for a 1700 sqft one story house. The price came out to be $10,000 in cash (after negotiation). If I recall correctly, the "original" price was in the $12,000's. On the other hand, there were a few notable negatives. I requested a copy of something that I could use as a receipt and had called Bardo Ramirez (likely the owner) at least 5 times regarding it specifically. Around the 4th call, Bardo requested for us to pick up the copy (so he doesn't need to send it online), which I regard as poor customer service. I persisted for it to be sent online, and I received the copy, in total, a week and a few days later. In addition, the roofing inspector told us that some screws were loose. I called Bardo immediately, to which he requested that we do the screws ourselves. Disappointing, to say the least. I persisted again, and the problem was indeed fixed on that day, confirmed when I made a call. Synopsis: roof looks nice, but customer service needs certain improvement read more
