I have used them twice now and the professionalism and quality is top notch. Jay thoroughly analyzes the roof and gutter conditions (roof to me being a very critical component of any house) and clearly addesses any issues with photographs and solid recommendations. Documentation, estimates, contracts, warrantees and invoices are clear, understandable and presented well. This last round a crew accomplished an admirsable amount of repair and clean up work in only one day of disruption. A very solid and reputable company for roofing work. He sent his son Jose to my home. Jose was amazing! He & I climbed up on my roof. He was knowledgeable & removed the heavy concrete tiles & diagnosed all the problems that I was having, and rather than jumping right into a huge construction estimate, he cleaned all the areas by removing all the tiles around my 2 chimneys and 2 skylights as well as cleaning the gutter on my patio cover. All for a very reasonable price. He then gave me his card and said to get back to him if that did not solve the leak problem. I really appreciated the immediate response and work that he was able to do on the spot.

I needed a gutter downspout removed and sealed at one end and a new hole made for a rain chain at…read morethe other. At the first rain water poured from the place where the previous downspout was supposedly sealed. Bobby told me he would personally fix the leaking seal, but instead he sent the same helper who had botched the seal the first time. Because Bobby was "on his way", I asked the helper to wait and have Bobby do the job. He ignored my request and was finished when Bobby arrived. Bobby noted there was still a little water from a previous rain, which means the helper applied the replacement sealer on wet metal. I heard the helper tell Bobby the sealant needed to cure 9 hours, but Bobby flooded the gutter with water because it hadn't been cleaned the first time the helper came. Then Bobby told me they'd used silicone to reseal the hole, and from everything I've read silicone does not adhere well to galvanized steel and will fail quickly. Bobby told me that all sealant for gutters is silicone and I knew that wasn't true, which I've confirmed with other companies that seal gutter leaks. I wrote an email to Bobby requesting he either refund the $200 cash I paid or come and try again to do the job again using a sealant that works with galvanized steel. He did not even bother to respond. I am going to have to hire another repair person to have this job done correctly as it is apparently not something Bobby is willing to do. If you need gutter repairs done, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere, possibly with someone licensed who is more knowledgeable. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS RATED THIS COMPANY AS "F". "BBB confirmed this company had not obtained a necessary license from Contractors State License Board." According to BBB, this is a required competency license.

They miscalculated the distance from the fence for a patio cover by 5 feet. Our backyard is very…read morenarrow and we were going to get a patio cover. They told us that it had to be 5 feet from the fence,which still made the patio cover very narrow and unacceptable. However, they then informed us that there was going to be an overhang and that would make the cover come out a little bit more by two feet. So we went ahead with it. The county came back and said that it needs to be 10 feet away from the fence which would therefore now make it just a little tiny thin strip of patio cover and that was not acceptable. CW designs kept $175 from us saying that they already came out and measured so that was the money they were going to keep. In addition, the county also kept roughly $175 as well. Had CW design known their business with patio cover rules and correctly told us the information we would've never gone forward with patio cover. I think that if you have a professional business that comes out and measures, gives you information on where the patio cover will extend to, they should be correct. They are in the business of patio covers, they should correctly give information so that a sound decision can be made. They should know what the county requires and tell the patron correct information and certainly not charge a fee for their mistakes. I have seen some patio covers that they have built and they do do a very nice job, but in my opinion, the fact that they kept our money for their mistake is appalling to me.

It became very clear the designer doesn't communicate clear with the installers. Communication throughout the project was lacking. We had difficulty getting timely updates and clear responses to our questions, especially regarding the project timeline. We were told the project would take 6-8 weeks, however, there were delays that we weren't adequately informed about. After paying for half the price, we had gone 2 weeks without any updates as to when we should expect the installation. When we called to check on the status we were told installation would be another month, therefore, putting us out past their 8 week timeline. Still with the miscommunication, we had to wait an additional month to fix small errors that were supposed to be done with the initial install. The ceiling lights that come with the patio are extremely bright- we didn't know how bright they were until after installation. (So take that into consideration, we bought 4 and could've gotten away with 2). From start to finish, it took 3 months but we're very pleased with our new patio.

The issues that made me stop and reconsider using HomePro were the over-confidence of the owner. I felt a bit talked down to at times, as if I had not done by research about the cost of materials, labor and attention to details. The other reason was the cost. It was 3 times higher than two other companies that I had talked to preciously. I"m sure HomePro does a great job, yet as a single, retired person, I had to pass on using this company.

I was surprised to know that when I called for my initial inquiry that I was speaking directly to the owner. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to me very thoroughly. He took his time and answered all of my questions and didn't rush me off the phone or speak to me as if I was incompetent. (I have had the happen multiple times with other companies) By the end of the conversation I felt as if I had been his client for years. My repair took 1 month to complete due to the extensive and unexpected damage. I was informed of every new discovery and process every step of the way. The crew was amazing. They were always respectful of my property, inside and outside of my home. Even taking their shoes off inside. They did a great job at cleaning up at the end of each day and kept their supplies organized when not working. It was clear that they valued not only their quality of work but also valued my home and my time as if it was theirs. They were on time everyday and worked the entire time with reasonable breaks when needed. They worked efficiently and completed the project even sooner than I expected. The quality of work goes above and beyond. You may think they are a bit more pricy then other companies out there but you really do get what you pay for here. Peace of mind that it was done correctly, the sustainability and the quality of workmanship is worth every penny to me. Their professionalism, communication, and respectfulness truly set them apart and I would not hesitate to call them again for future projects.
