While walking around Seattle, we randomly came across Bober Tea and thought we should try it out. The decor is super cute, with a whole wall full of mochi donuts along with a neon sign. We were the only customers at the time, so we could really choose where we wanted to sit. We went to order and were redirected to the large screen to put our order through. I forgot to take pictures of our drinks, but we got a milk tea and black tea with 25% sugar. The drinks were fairly good and the boba was a bit chewy. It was also nice that ordering 6 mochi donuts came with a Thai iced tea, which I really liked! The mochi donuts were all good with a chewy and firm texture to them. None of them were too sweet, but some flavors were leaning more on subtle. Overall, it's a decent spot to check out if you're in the area! read more

As I crave boba a lot and like to try new places, this is one of the newer boba shops in the greater Seattle area, located in Capitol Hill up in Broadway where a handful of good restaurants are. Location is excellent as you can go here as a dessert after your meal, but naturally this means parking can be a pain to get. I showed up around 7pm for boba, and I noticed that they already fully sold out of mochi donuts this early in the day. The store is really cute with lots of mochi donuts on the wall and a pink aesthetic that is perfect for friend hangouts or dates. I got the chizu matcha latte with stir fried boba, which came out to almost $9 total. Bold of them to charge a convenience fee on top of sales tax to make the drink super expensive. I opted for 50% sugar and there is absolutely no option to request less ice. A supposedly regular had to verbally flag to the worker to not add ice, which I probably should do, but at least please add it as an option so that it is more convenient. I guess they want to cut costs and give us less drink? For 50% sugar, I don't think they respected the customizations as I saw the worker just pour premade matcha latte to the cup and then added the cheese foam on top. When I tasted my drink, it was grossly sweet. Boba was undercooked so I ended up having to toss a lot of the boba out, and the boba was not cheap at $0.95 for the topping. Fortunately, when I got my drink, they had a few mochi donut circles I got to sample, and I am glad they sold out of the mochi donuts as the mochi donuts did not have the chewy texture that is present in mochi donuts. Bober Tea & Mochi Dough is another new boba place in Capitol Hill. As you walk in, the interior is really charming and inviting. They did a really nice job on decorations. This looks like a large chain, where this is there first one in Seattle They have two large interactive panels on the right where you can enter your order. There are not as many option that you can make with other boba places (e.g., less ice or sugar), but the do have options on the sizes and toppings. Then you also have the option to get a bundle with a donut--which I did. I had the Signature Milk Tea which comes with stir-fried boba and then a poppy seed donut. The tea was very good. I visited Bober Tea on Sunday around 3pm and I think it's a great new addition to Cap Hill! The inside of the store is really pink and cute, I love the donut decor and there's ample seating. Workers here are also super friendly! I ordered the Jasmine milk tea with boba and the flavor was just right and the boba was good too! My friend got the Chizu strawberry which has a thicker texture if you like that! Both drinks were ~13 after a 10% student discount (make sure to bring your student ID)! We did have difficulty with the Tap to Pay, but the worker was really helpful in fixing this and answering our questions. A great new boba place to try at capital hill! The ambiance is great. I really enjoyed the decorations. There is plenty of seating. I had their donuts and it was pretty good. We got their cookies and cream, strawberry garden, and fruity pebbles. All of them were great but my favorite was cookies and cream! The service here was good. Went for their soft opening and had our expectations blown away! The store is very pretty, and there's a lot of tables for groups to sit and enjoy their drinks. They even have games to play as well! The staff were also very kind and friendly! We ordered four drinks and 12 mochi donuts, and they were very quick to make our drinks. We enjoyed all of our drinks and think they offer a good variety of drinks and adjustments. The boba itself is also well made. The cups even come with a cute bear lid! They offer a cup with a surprise toy for an extra $6 as well. The donuts were fresh, crispy and pleasantly light. We actually went to dinner at the Yakiniku place next door and we saw this beautiful shop! The decorum is perfect for taking amazing selfies. The lighting was wonderful very clean and pristine place . I lived in Japan for three years and always miss the mochi donuts. This was definitely it! The gentleman that was helping us actually lived in Japan and was letting us know that the butterflies on top of the mochi doughnut that I got was actually edible. When you walk in, they are going to be touchscreens on your right you can order at the touchscreen and then scan your card. I've seen this place on tiktok and have had it on my list to check out! The inside was super cute and decorated nicely. It's a nice place to sit and relax. My friend and I brought our laptopa to work a little. You order on a kiosk. They even have a student discount id you have a valid student ID. The kiosk was not taking our payment but the employee was able to come over and get it fixed for us. I ordered the strawberry chizu green tea. The ordering process, though, was chaotic. You're supposed to use the screens, but it's not obvious, and you still have to go to the counter to pick your donut flavors. People were standing around looking confused, and one poor guy kept getting sent back and forth between cashier and sreen over a discount. Felt like the staff was stretched thin, which didn't help. Hi! Coming from out of town but I had a craving and found this place online. We didn't realize that it just opened but wow! The boba and tea are so good and the mochi donuts are so soft and chewy. I got the brown sugar boba milk tea. The sweetness is not adjustable unfortunately so just know that this will be a sweet drink-- that being said, it's a darn good sweet drink. Even my husband who isn't crazy about sweets couldn't stop raving the drink. The tea flavor still comes through despite the sweetness and the boba is the right amount of chewy. The donuts were delightfully chewy and delicious. The service was also kind and you can tell they're working hard. Inside is very cute and pink and just overall so delightful. We were sold on a 1/2 dozen. I swore they'd last us for days. Meanwhile.... 3 3/4 donuts later... YIPES!! Couldn't stop myself!! They are DELECTABLE!! Moist and slightly crunchy outside. I'm giving 2-star because I've come previously as a customer, and the owners were super nice (even if the drinks were too sweet for our taste, and mostly ice). I also empathize with the clearly overworked store worker. This review is for the horrible experience they provided as Too Good to Go customers [an app where you can pick up leftover food at discounted pricing.] 1. We show up at 9:30 PM -- the start of the 30 minute pickup window. 2. The only store employee is clearly overworked preparing drinks. He completely ignores us for at least 20 minutes while we stand there waiting for him. 3. After two attempts at getting his attention, he says he'll follow up with us. 4. When we show him the app, he says the Surprise Bag is only good for 3 donuts, rather than the usual 6. (Side-note: this wouldn't meet the value requirement for a Too Good to Go bag.) 5. He calls the management to ask for clarification. 6. After a lengthy conversation with them (putting us at about 25 minutes since arrival), he comes back and explains to us that the copious donuts available in their donut rack are only for normal retail customers, and none are available for Too Good to Go users. 7. He recommends that we come back the next day, at which point they would actually would give us the promised Too Good to Go donuts we paid for. (That's not how Too Good to Go works -- you can only pick up during the designated pickup window.) 8. He has no idea how to cancel the order for us -- even though only the business can do that. In the end, we (and the other TGTG customer) walk out without anything. We wasted 30 minutes per person for nothing. As someone who does customer service professionally, this is just abysmal. The store had lots of options for us to leave satisfied: 1. They could have cancelled the orders upfront in the app, to avoid wasting our time coming. 2. They could have told us when we arrived that they had no product for Too Good to Go customers -- instead of leaving us wasting 25 minutes to find out. 3. They could have recognized that after leaving us standing around for 30 minutes, it would have been a polite gesture to leave us coming away with *something* that we paid for. But to leave us standing there for a half hour doing nothing waiting for them to realize it -- and to make no attempt to make it right beyond asking us to return a second time on faith -- is pretty bonkers. We won't be back -- as regular customers, or Too Good to Go users. read more
