I love walking in and seeing what the monthly specials are! They also have weekend specials as well. If you show up on the weekend, make sure to go early or they might run out of the top flavors. Doughnuts will run you $3 - $4.5 each, some of them bigger than others. All the fruity flavored ones are the best - raspberry, strawberry, mango, etc. The peach / apple fritters are also really good - they are bigger doughnuts too. I remember going to their previous location and this new location is more convenient to get to. So big upgrade there. One thing I'd like to speak to is their take on an everything but the bagel donut. By far one of my favorite iterations compared to other places. One other type of donut that I enjoy getting here is when they do a fritter. It's consistently an enjoyable donut, especially when they change up the flavor profile. It's taken me 7 years to come back to this place but I figured if you could stay in business this long and move shops, it's gotta be doing something right. I came before 11am on. Friday and all 3 of the February specials I was looking for were sold out. I got the maple bar, apple fritter and strawberry shortcake donut holes. The maple bar was average, normal IE nothing special. The apple fritter would have benefited from a couple more apple pieces and a bit more of a crunch to the outside. Came here on a Tuesday morning between 7 and 8. We were the only ones who sat and ate but there was another group who grabbed things to go. This place is super nice with bright big corner windows and ample seating to enjoy and people watch. The staff had their cute lil dog noodle hangin around which was very cute, the staff was also very nice. I personally didn't care for the donuts we had today but I would say that's more on my personal preference than them so I would come back and try their other flavors but this time it's a solid 3/5 for me but I could def see them being better if I had picked other flavors. I was really excited to see Raised Doughnuts nearby since it's my friend's favorite spot. I popped in for their snickerdoodle, kinako mochi, caramel crunch and mochi sugar. I was super excited to try their mochi donuts since Dochi is one of my favorite donut shops! Definitely smaller donuts and upon first bite, it's not as fluffy or as chewy as Dochi. In fact, it felt heavy and very oily to the point of stomach upsetting greasiness. In fact, the box that it was in quickly developed oil spots so you know these donuts are heavy on the oil. i have been meaning to try this place for so long and was thoroughly impressed! the space is very large and open which would be great to work and/or study in. the worker was so nice in helping us out and went above and beyond. my friend and i came here on a whim and were delighted by what we got, which were the mochi chai, passion fruit strawberry, vietnamese coffee, and the maple bar. i was most shocked by the mochi chai as the texture and flavor exceeded my expectations :D the only doughnut i would say i didn't enjoy as much as the others were the vietnamese coffee as i did not taste much coffee sadly :,) i also would love for them to possibly expand their drink menu as it is rather limited as well. i definitely want to come back on a weekend to try the cakes they sell as they do it by the slice!! read more

Found this place from a friend's recommendation. From the menu looks like they have classic doughnuts as well as some seasonal specials along with some unique flavor combinations. It's a cute and beautiful shop, the staff was super nice and sweet. I just got the pineapple upside-down doughnut to try out to see if I like it and it was yummy. The doughnut wasn't overly sweet which I love, the texture was soft, fluffy, and airy. Next time I want to try their cakes and chocolate bar . One thing to keep in mind is that they might run out of some doughnuts by the afternoon. Cute and yummy donut shop! I didn't try the cakes but they looked great too. I visited around 12pm and got the last everything bagel donut and chocolate donut. I wanted to try the Apple fritter but I felt bad because I had already gotten the last donut for two other flavors so I left it for the other people in line. That just goes to show how popular this place is though! Everything was light and fluffy. The chocolate icing tasted rich and fudgy. It's not preferred but I love how they have rotating flavors every month. You'll need to get here early as they run out of most things by late morning. Ever since Raised Doughnuts and Cakes opened up, my friend, her son and I would have monthly doughnut dates to sample all of the monthly flavors. It's so hard to pick favorites but some favorites over the years are any of their mochi doughnuts (the texture is PERFECT), Raspberry holes, pear chevre, chocolate raspberry crunch, and Everything but the doughnuts. The cakes are just as good, I love that they're not too sweet and are light and refreshing. I love Raised Doughnuts and cakes so much that my husband and I had to serve their cakes and doughnuts at our wedding a few weeks ago. I find their ordering process very straight forward. While they do not offer a traditional cake tasting, you can either customize your cake off of their cake menu, or order a flavor they previously served (which you can scroll through their IG). We ended up ordering a 3 tiered wedding cake and a sheet cake with 2 different cake flavors (Mango Coconut & Chocolate, Raspberry, Passionfruit), and 100 guava mochi doughnuts. Our desserts were a huge hit with our wedding guests, but our 1 regret would have been to order more mochi doughnuts as some of our guests wanted seconds of that (lol) and all we had left over was our top tier to freeze up. For reference, our guest count was at 145. I still have yet to visit Raised's new space but I look forward to checking it out at my next monthly doughnut date. read more

I had been wanting to try this place for over a year and since I had today off (Memorial Day), I preordered a week ago since it's the best time that works for me. I was so excited to get my box but when I opened it, the first thing I noticed is that the donuts didn't look as presentable and appealing as I had hoped. Then when I bit into the first one (chocolate bar), I was even more disappointed. The doughnut itself was like a 5-day old bread and the chocolate glaze was meh. I had a bite of the other donuts as well and that's all I needed to do because they were all meh. Had a pre order to pick up this morning I usually wait till there are a couple flavors are more that interest me before I decide to pay a visit. Was my first time checking out the new space and they did a wonderful job!! Looking forward to a day when I have more time to stay for a cup if coffee and visit with friends here probably will try to do that during the week when Communion isn't open making parking a little easier or just take a bus on the weekend. The lemon thyme is one of my favorites and when I saw it on the menu for May I knew I was due for a visit. Picked up some to split with dad and share with a friend. Splitting the doughnuts in half with dad doesn't make me feel as guilty . The others I selected were the coconut guava, roasted rhubarb and the weekend filled french toast. All were delicious as expected but the lemon thyme still has my heart it's tartness wins me over always. Service is always great here everyone is always friendly and helpful. They thanked me for ordering ahead. I love how the new space large window opens up to outside it allows for indoor and outdoor dining. I'm behind on writing a review of this bakery even though I've been here numerous times for delicious doughnuts and cake. Earlier this year, I ordered the boba cake slice which was for a limited time during a weekend. The cake was good, but the boba was a bit chewy. They did encourage folks to eat it right way, so it may have been my fault for waiting a bit. But I think it's cool that they experiment with new flavors and ideas. My favorite item off the regular menu is the Everything Bagel Donut as I'm not much of a sweets person. It honestly tastes like you're eating a bagel on top of a donut. I've also ordered a customized cake from here along with other desserts to try as well. The rotating flavors for both cakes and donuts are fun and exciting. I'm very happy that that they've moved into a bigger, new home right off Union St. and across from Communion Restaurant & Bar. We decided to take a long way home after dropping our kid at school on our day off so that we could stop at Raised Doughnuts because, if you make it early enough and get lucky, they have the best gluten free doughnut in town! During COVID you walk up and they greet you at the door, and grab your donuts for take away. I will say after trying these a couple times, the Chocolate Bar is definitely what you want to get. Despite what others say about the size, I think it's a perfect size. it's a little heavier than your average donut and the icing layer is pretty thick. Overall just balanced. This for me was the obvious stand out. The glazed on the other hand is good, but I think compared to the chocolate bar, it's too subtle to really write home about.
