So I came back to Bobo try to give him another chance and they totally blew it completely gave me the wrong order added cheese to my burger when I asked for no cheese specifically told them twice then when I asked to speak to a manager, they don't want to direct me to a manager, they said he's not is not here. When I asked the associate for her name, she didn't wanna give me her name. She says why do I need it? The greatest response and associate should use in customer service right ! I had to wait 20 minutes for the associate to get approval apparently from the manager to even make my order correctly .I don't live close I live quite a distance away. I asked them to provide a drink as compensation due to your associates mistake for getting my order wrong and they tell me they can do that because it would have to come out of their pocket, which I told the rep I agree because they're the ones that messed up my order so it should be coming out of their employees pocket and the manager nod his head and said we all make mistakes and I told them that's true but due to your mistake, you should compensate me. he didn't compensate me in anyway didn't give me a drink or offer anything. Surprisingly, never tried this place in all the years I've lived here until about a year ago. Vaguely remember a friend of mine in junior high talking about bobos tucked up in the northeast San Fernando Valley this spot is a hidden little gem of comfort junk food there portions are plentiful prices are very reasonable, and they have an array of breakfast lunch dinner plates along with Mexican fare. The club sandwich is colossus and there bacon burgers and fries are bomb. The fries have an interesting spice, which makes them very good. The fried chicken wasn't the best I've ever had so I focus on the burgers. Breakfast burritos are what we're looking to try next time. They have really good salsa out on the table along with condiments setting tables are set up for large groups and families. Place is relatively clean. They just spent all this money remodeling the building but are willing to serve this.. When I call to complain they tell me this is how they always have made it. This place has been around over 45 years! If you haven't tried it then you're missing out, the building itself is going through a renovation but the food has always stayed the same. I ordered 12:23 , didn't get my food until almost 15-20 minutes later, claiming their system went down and could not charge my card . If you grew up on the west side of the tracks, it's more than likely you were raised on BoBo's. You either love it or you don't, as you can see from my 5 star review, I absolutely love it! It's been that way for close to 25 years now (for me). My favorite item on the menu is the chili cheese fries. Only Shoestrings (RIP) could rival them in the area. Consistently good for as far back as I can remember. Best when hot, there's nothing like sitting on those hard plastic booth seats while taking down some piping hot chili cheese fries. Cheeseburgers are good, can't say there's anything really special about them, we usually order with light dressing so our bread won't get all soggy. Fries are really good, seasoned and dipped in a ranch/ketchup mix and you're set. The Carne Asada tacos are also surprisingly good. They have other items on the menu that are pretty bomb, the turkey sandwiches are good & filling and the pastrami is a spot hitter. So here we were parked in Bobo's to watch the Christmas Parade and was like damn I'm hungry since we hadn't eaten before we left and it was still early enough for breakfast.... Each sandwich had what was two fried hard with a very healthy sausage patty, lettuce and tomatoe.... I don't like Tomatoes and not knowing they put them on their breakfast sandwiches....
