SERVICE MATTERS!!!!!! Corona virus is NOT an excuse for poor customer service, never was! Let's at minimum get the basics down. It's one thing when you're busy for service to be slow, but never rude. Furthermore, when the place is COMPLETELY EMPTY...be at your best!!!! I walked into the restaurant and there was one person eating, they finished up tossed away their trash and left before anyone acknowledged me. There were four employees standing at the front counter doing miscellaneous tasks, two of them just chatting. None of them acknowledged my existence, despite looking at me! What the holy hell????!?!! Then, to add insult to injury, they all walked away. They left the front of the restaurant completely abandoned while I was standing at the counter ready to order. I waited, nothing... I had to actually request service and then when I did, that person just pointed at another employee who took her time getting to the counter. I did notice that part of the problem is that all of the employees standing in the front of the restaurant stand facing the kitchen with their backs to the front counter. Suggestion, try something different. Why are are you standing doing nothing, staring at the kitchen? There must be something for you to do while waiting for the food. Food isn't that great and very overpriced I ordered a burrito and a side of onion rings, came out to $15. Onion rings had no type of seasoning or flavor; not even salt. So they re did the entire restaurant, I use to come here as a child but with time the place got WORN down so I'm glad they fixed it up, it looks fabulous now and the food was amazing I got a bacon burger the other day & bacon was cooked to perfection? I needed a quick place to eat but wanted to stay away from McDonalds, Burger King and any other basic fast food place. This place is not easy on the eyes at all and not in the best area. The windows are grayed out and you can't see in nor out of them .. the seating area is fairly large, but not very inviting. Definitely an in and out trip, most likely drive thru next time. I heard about Bobo's through another fellow foodie and decided to give it a try since I was in the area. My first impression of Bobo's was that it's a local favorite. I walked in and was a little skeptical because I wasn't expecting a fast-food vibe. Bobo's is actually a chain which I would have never guessed given the state of their interior; It was pretty rundown and a bit messy. We ordered upfront like you would at a McDonald's or a Jack in the box. They have a menu board that is really hard to read because the font is fairly small. We ordered the breakfast burrito and a grande pancake both of which were about $5. The breakfast burrito came with hashbrowns (more along the lines of home-style verses shredded), eggs, a ton of cheddar cheese and your choice of whole bacon or links of sausage wrapped up in a huge flour tortilla. I would give the burrito about a 4 out of 5 stars. The content of the burrito was really good but the tortilla was just completely overbearing. There was so much tortilla that I found myself ripping off layers and layers of it. I think the burritos are so big because they literally wrap the tortilla around it twice. There isn't much to say about the grand pancakes besides that it was good, big and filling. My only complaint about this dish is that it didn't come with hashbrowns; I love my potatoes! Overall This place is a dive, that has reasonable prices as well as decent food. I'll definitely come back when I am in the area but I'll probably take it to go next time given that the interior is pretty rundown. I work a short distance from here and decided to give it a try in my quest for the best burgers in the San Fernando Valley. This one is worth trying. This was my first time here. They open very early, which is a plus, meaning that I can get a burger at 10 AM, my usual lunch time. I used the drive through and ordered a combo with fries and a drink. Unfortunately iced tea is not offered so I opted for a Mr. Pibb. The burger was larger than most, larger diameter bun and patty. It was cooked correctly and was very tasty with their sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickle. The bun tasted fresh as well. The fries were great-cooked perfectly with no skins and came sprinkled with spices which included paprika. Very tasty! All items tasted fresh. The order taker was cheerful, polite and helpful. This is sadly all too rare in the fast food/drive thru world. The only negative is that they do not offer iced tea, at least it was not on the menu. I will be back! read more
