I might as well buy as "I love Bobo's" shirt because I have drank the metaphorical Kool-Aid and I'm sold on this place. I will say this, this place is TINY so expect a LONG wait and also expect to be possibly seated together with other parties' community style. The coffee okay, but you don't come here for the coffee or for the eggs or anything else trivial; you come here for the PANCAKES! My favorite was the Banana ones- get them and you will thank me! A sparkling treasure nestled in the dust just west of Grant & Country Club! Friendly little diner with fantastic service. This place runes like a well oiled machine! Bobo's is a great hole in the wall breakfast joint for someone looking for a cheap meal. Everything is under 7 bucks and you get ALOT of food. Its not the nicest or cleanest restaurant I have ever been in but for those early morning munchies it is definitely the joint for a college budget. I would recommend their french toast, biscuits and gravy, or daily special. For a college student this is the best breakfast in Tucson (way better than the good egg). I love it! read more

Boy I think I must have eaten in the alternate reality Bobo's. Our meal was pretty awful. The poached eggs were over cooked the bacon not crisp and the home fries were large chunks of mushy potatoes. This is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants in town and I recommend it to everyone. The food is so good. Greasy-spoon style, hole in the wall diner. Huge portins, great fast service, and great prices. Fun gritty diner atmosphere and even though it's crowded and there is a line to get in, the wait is never long. Plus it's worth it! Went here with my mom for the first time a couple of weeks ago for breakfast. The place is very small and looks like a dive from the outside, but don't let the appearance fool you. This is a well known restaurant in Tucson that serves up great breakfasts. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was great. Right size and lots of food for a low price. The coffee was great, and we were treated like family once we were inside. My mom ordered the apple pancakes, which were great. Next time I may order the pancakes. The only complaint I have is the wait. They combined a large table of around 10 people prior to us being seated and this made us wait a long time for a table for 2, since everyone had to wait for them to leave. If you have the time, try it out, or maybe go during the week, instead of a weekend? Overall great food and will come back again. read more

I found your specific recommendations extremely useful, and marked your reviews accordingly. I'll add my thumbs up to the banana pancake: we got one for the table to share it it is every bit as special as y'all claimed. Also, I agree that the biscuits and gravy are amazing, or if you want fewer carbs, do as I did and have the country gravy added to an omelet. Oh, Bobo's...I can see how this place is a Tucson favorite. I went on a late Saturday morning, approximately 11am, and this place was jam-packed full of people. The wait staff isn't exactly what I would consider "friendly", but the food and the price make up for the service. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were HUGE...like, bring home in a takehome box huge. Another guest I was with had biscuits and gravy...four biscuits literally swimming in gravy...she took hers home as well. I'd definitely recommend this place, have high expectations for great food, but leave your expectation for great service at the door. read more

You are not afraid of REAL diner, open kitchens where you see everything and alittle bit slower than normal service, try Bobo's out. Warning: any Saturday and Sunday you will have to wait outside for a seat for up to 20 min. Their signature pancakes are large enough to share. If you want the most out of the ordinary item on the menu, and a super tasty one, order the Ruben omelette. They don't bake their own bread and the coffee is standard diner quality, but if you want a hustling spot that is a good greasy spoon to spend less than $10 bucks on breakfast, try this place out. read more

Man this place is amazing! My husband and I came just to eat some breakfast but honestly all I want to do now is go back to bed. I loved their smothered biscuits and gravy, and our waiter Donovan was amazing. They're sweet, kind, and caring people. It really is a mom and pop type of place. If you're trying to eat empty calories this is definitely not the place for you. But if you're trying to enjoy a good hearty breakfast this is YOUR PLACE. I've been coming here for a long time and it is a breakfast tradition for my friends and I. Over the past couple of years this place has gotten increasing more crowded and has a UofA student following. Both well deserved. The Pancakes are huge and amazing. Every once in a while you run across a gem of a place by which all others all measured. For breakfast in Tucson, Bobo's was it. Incredible banana pancake. Basic eggs and bacon breakfast was really cooked to perfection. Cottage potatoes were that hard to manage crisp but not burned that dreams are made of. Bacon was also done just right. Service was great each server took the time to top off everyone's coffee regardless of if it was their table or not. I appreciate that kind of teamwork. It was busy, crazy busy and we still were seated in less than 20 mins. Food was about 10 mins from order time and well worth the wait. read more

5/5 for greasy spoon food. Easy quick and good, this place isn't trying to be gourmet. I had a Reuben. True to form, thrown on the griddle, it was sloppy and tasty. Lunch was served with fresh, crispy home-made tasting fries. The fam all had breakfast. Coffee and refills kept coming; everybody who worked there was joking and smiling. I thought I had tried every greasy spoon breakfast place in Tucson, but somehow Bobo's had slid under the radar. Never again! You know a place is good when the parking lot is full before 7am. Luckily we were able to grab a small table in the back (which is pretty close to the front of this really small place), and were waited on promptly by a helpful lady who tried to talk me out of ordering 2 of the blueberry pecan pancakes. Not because I wouldn't like them, but because they are big! I didn't believe her, and that is how I ended up taking pancakes home in a to go container. They were delicious, but humungous! My husband had the corned beef hash and loved it. Bobo's is a no-frills restaurant, with friendly staff and excellent food. We will be back! read more

From the outside Bobo's looks like a little Mom and Pops diner you would find in the South and once you get inside the ambiance doesn't change. The staff provides excellent and friendly service even if they do look like they just got hired from off the streets. I've only been to Bobo's for breakfast and it is excellent. I've had the Huevos Rancheros and the Biscuits and Gravy and they are delish. I definitely recommend Bobo's for breakfast especially if you are on the adventurous side. Ah, the pancakes! The oddest, best pancake I've had. I tend to be picky at breakfast restaurants because I can't decide whether I want as sweet or savory meal, but I'd eat these pancakes any day. I got the banana pancake that doesn't look like an traditional one: it's oval-ish and the size of the entire plate. So, one pancake is more than enough. my kids favorite breakfast place. when the now living out of town ones visit, they always go there for breakfast. only problem is noisy and busy, not a place to go for reading, wifi, conversation, just quck cheap food. probably best price to value in tucson eating out. beats $1 menu at fast food places. i've never had a bad meal, never heard any complaints about taste. nice people. friendly crowd. worth a try when you're hungry. reason for 4 stars and not 5 is how busy it is.....hardly a real problem! read more
