What a great experience! Seat yourself. Food was great and served quickly. Loved it was a small diner with big heart! Will be back!

The customer service here was extremely friendly and hospitable. The food came out extremely fast, and I was super appreciative of that. Although the furniture in the place is a bit dated, it gives to the ambience of it being a classic older breakfast diner. I really enjoyed my visit here. I highly recommend here especially if you're looking for that "mom and pop place/feel".

Came in on a Monday morning and was not busy at all. Saw the special for breakfast which is so affordable and delicious! Our service was very friendly too. The place is just like an old school diner I like that. Great place recommended for those who want good but cheap food!

I think I was here years and years ago but had forgotten. I love pancakes, which is what drew me in here again... but they don't really do pancakes here as a specialty. They do a basic pancake like most places including Denny's, with your choice of fruit dumped on top. Not very impressive to a true pancake obsessed person, along with not having maple syrup... If you are coming for pancakes you will get the same experience at any chain IMO. SO my husband true to form got the Huevos Rancheros and I opted for the Joe's Omelet. Both were good. Nothing to off the charts for me. My husband said the beans were really good. I think what you will see with the reviews (because I am astounded by the 5 star ones) is that folks like the whole independent diner vibe which I did enjoy as well. Service was great... I just can't rave about the food which was no different than a Denny's for me (hashbrowns were NOT fresh, despite other reviews going on about fresh ingredients). Prices were in line with inflation today - my very basic Omelet, hashbrowns and an English muffin was $14 which seemed a smidge high given I had zero meat with my breakfast. Solid service, decent food.

When in Tucson, I normally go by Joe's Pancake House once for breakfast. Service was friendly and my order came out quickly. This time, I had bacon, eggs, grits and wheat toast. This place is a small diner with good service and decent food. Its like home cooking a little bit and nothing fancy here. The prices are not expensive for the orders served.

The wait staff were all super nice--this could easily be a stressful place to work as it is a constant busy spot--but you see no stress on their faces--always a smile. The food was ok. I got the Bacon egg scramble--the bacon was not cooked all the way. Some people are ok with the bacon like that, myself? I prefer it to be crispy. So I was not a fan. I got home fries/potatoes and they were good, but the ketchup had been sitting there for no idea how long -- but had a weird taste to it. I will certainly come back as the pancakes my hubby ordered were on point.

Update: 2nd Door Dash as good as the first. I have to say that I believe Joe's just might be my favorite breakfast place. Why, you ask? Homemade food Quality ingredients Big portions Great prices Attention to detail Consistently top notch. Will you go steady with me Joe's Pancake House? I'm smitten.

Went for the first time one morning with some friends. I quite enjoyed it! I love diner breakfast places like this but hadn't been before, would definitely go back and try other menu items (lots to choose from) . But the pictured chicken fried steak was absolutely delicious and suited my mood at the time! My friends dishes looked good too! Quick , friendly service, diner vibes, good times!

Love it! Good menu, good "old school" wait staff, good food. I had the veggie omelette and added ham. It was pretty good, enjoyable. I had it with grits (included). Huge portion of grits and it was good. Also had a single pancake. I mean, if you're going to eat at Joe's *Pancake* House you better have a pancake, right? Yep, it was good. Joe's is another good breakfast (and lunch) diner here in Tucson. I recommend it. Side story: My everyday drive is a Corvette. I was wearing my Corvette cap. When I went to pay my bill, Brandon, who took my payment, nonchalantly said, "You know, we have a valet service that you could use next time and you won't have to worry about where to park." LOL Yes, he saw my car and saw my hat and put 2 + 2 together. So funny! Love that. I'll be returning. But I won't be taking advantage of their valet service. ;) 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Had a half hour to kill, so I thought I'd grab breakfast. This is a simple breakfast and lunch joint. Walked in sat myself down and was waited on almost immediately. Server was pleasant, they had clear partitions for Covid. Ordered two eggs, home fries and pancakes. It was delicious. They had some one egg specials in $5 range, however I ordered two eggs. Bill was a little over $10, wow! It was worth it, just for expediency. I'd certainly go back again.

We were a lively group of seven, and after our meeting we even celebrated my birthday. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed. The restaurant is bright, inviting, spacious, and has a warm, modern atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The food was outstanding! Our table enjoyed a delicious variety of favorites, including Elote Nachos, Shrimp Ceviche, Mac & Cheese with Chicken, and several Happy Hour entrées. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And if you visit, do yourself a favor--order the Margarita with Tajín (that perfect blend of mild chile, lime, and salt). It was absolutely delicious! What truly made our experience memorable, however, was the exceptional hospitality. Manager Edmont and our server Olivia treated us like old friends from the moment we arrived. They were attentive, fun, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The highlight? Edmont surprised us by leading our group in the Tucson High Badger Fight Song after learning we were alumni! Talk about going above and beyond. To top off a wonderful evening, we shared a warm Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding complete with a birthday candle--a sweet ending to a fantastic celebration. Redbird isn't just serving great food; they're creating memorable experiences. I also appreciate that they partner with local businesses, something that speaks volumes about their commitment to our Tucson community. If you're looking for a wonderful place for Happy Hour, dinner with friends, or your next celebration, put Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar on your list. Stop by--and tell them the Badgers sent you!

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered!
