We had my fiancé's car diagnosed at the Hyundai dealership and what they quoted us seemed quite high compared to the estimated costs I found in forums online. I called around a few places and found Bob's with stellar reviews, now I know why! When I brought it in they got it done very quickly, the rates were VERY fair and reasonable, and he recommended against doing one of the repairs the dealership recommended saying it would have been an unnecessary expense. Our favorite auto repairman moved and sold his business - we had to look for a place for routine oil changes and minor repairs. So an oil change, an A/C check was in order and we searched Yelp and found Bob's and the reviews say it all: this place is terrific! Bob, himself was friendly and helpful and speedy too. We were at an dinner when Bob called that the car was ready and he offered to stay late so we could pick it up, we opted to leave it the weekend so he could start and enjoy his weekend. The simple oil and A/C check turned into a brakes and struts replacement as well, we expected a huge bill but it was several hundred less than that. Upon pick up Bob had the car washed...fast and friendly and that extra touch, that's service! He's been in business 30 years and I understand why. Bob is the most honest and caring mechanic I've ever known. I've met him after someone had sold me a lemon and Bob was so honest and upfront with me. He didn't take my car and kept adding the repairs, and told me to get rid of it and cut my losses even though he didn't know me and had no reason to care that much (which I was able to do in a very transparent manner). After that I had another vehicle that had some issues and Bob helped me a lot. Bob is to the point, will give you a quick solution to your car's issue and repair it at a great price. last time I was in there he diagnosed and fixed my car's check engine light, upstream oxygen sensor issue in a few minutes. As he checked it out another customer walked up to figure out a good time to come back to repair his car and as he walked off he said, "I've been Bob's customer for 35 years, he's the best." Do NOT trust Bob with Benz. He is not as good as his award claims. He did not do a good brake job on my Benz. Took my money for wheel bolts but cannot find right ones? Refused refund? Insisted on store credit which I never take back. Do not trust his awards and talk. Cannot do a simple job like ordering wheel bolts. Brake job on Benz ends up losing brake sensor. Took my car for a regular maintenance today and was surprised that he was so straightforward. Dealership would try to get you to pay an arm, leg, and kidney in some way or another but not Bob. I was looking for an auto repair shop by my work since the other shop closed down. I needed some quick work and I was panicked since my break lights were on. Luckily, it was only some sensor and fluid issues and I went ahead and got an oil/filter change also. Fantastic service. I take our 2013 Lexus to the local Toyota dealer for regular oil changes, and they informed me it needed about $5k in repairs (oil gasket leak, suspension parts, etc.). I have worked on cars on and off over the years and felt like the dealer was trying to pull one over. Bob and his team fit me in their schedule the next day, gave the car a full inspection, and I was out the door that same day with a $500 suspension repair. Called the shop first thing in the morning. Wanted to see what time I could come in to have them see why my "maintenance required " light popped up. Spoke to Bob himself and was able to bring it in right away. Bob fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Jiffy Lube forget to reset the sensor after an oil change, so Bob had his guy do it for me free of charge.
