It's Bob's! Why do you go to Bob's Big Boy? The Big Boy combo. Classic Bob's burger, salad with blue cheese and fries. It was everything I wanted. There are so few of them now. So when travel took me through Norco, I stopped both coming and going. Fairly large dining room. Grateful there are some non-booth seating options. I find that understanding, patience, decisiveness and a smile goes a long way. I had good service both days. (I could have used a faster refill, but...no big deal.) DON'T close any more Bob's!! Maybe next time I'll have room for one of those fudge brownie sundaes. They look delicious! read more

Bob's is still the best diner around! Their famous Big Boy burgers are better than ever and their signature relish can't be beat! I always ask for extra relish because I just can't get enough! Their fries are great and they do serve up a generous portion. The malts are out of this world and as for their hot fudge cake, well need I say more? it is always really good and you can have different kinds of ice cream if you're not that into vanilla. This last time we had butter pecan and it was delicious. Their fries, chicken, fish and chips, chili size (retro and worth it!) are all really tasty and well worth the visit. Pretty much anything on the menu is well worth a try. We haven't been disappointed yet at this Bob's. We look forward to our next visit, it's worth the 40 minute drive! read more

For Starter's I have always Loved Bob's Big Boy. I am 62 Years old and I have been a Fan of the Big Boy since I was in High School. I Went to School at Montclair High in Montclair Ca. I use to Hang out at the Montclair Mall back in the late 70s. Was a Local Kids Hang out. There used to be a Bob's Big boy Restuarant located inside the Mall. Practically lived there. Needless to say, it's a Wonder I did not turn into a Bob's Big Boy Combo. LOL. Pretty much scrounged up my Coke Bottle Money to get me a Combo Meal. Then I Grew up and moved away and got busy with Life. Before I knew it there were fewer and fewer Bob's around. As I grew up more and more new places were popping up and Bobs just seemed to be a thing of the Past. I had seen a couple still around but then they disappeared too. Then one day I was driving down the 15 freeway around Norco Ca and I see a Bob's Big Boy Sign. Oh, heck yes, I must go check this out. As I drove in the Parking lot, not One, but Two Big Boy Statues were standing there to greet me. Brought back so many Memories for me. I could already Tast that Burger before I even walked inside. I was Greeted by the Friendliest Waitress. I was amazed at how nice it was inside. All the Big Boy Merchandise was great to see T Shirts Cups and lots More available for Purchase. The Inside had that great Classic Diner Feeling to it. Love this Place. Of Course, I had to get the Bigger Bob's Big Boy Sandwich Combo came with a salad and Fries, also had to get their Strawberry shake and Banana Split. Lord have Mercy had to make up for lost years. LOL. I am so glad I Stopped in here. It makes me sad that this is the only Bob's in our surrounding Area. Not another one for a long distance away. I truly hope this one sticks around Forever. Praying they make a Huge Comeback. One thing I love about this place is the Staff is Amazing. Good Friendly People. Thank you, Bob's Big Boy, for allowing me to relive some of my Greatest Memories. Got an extremely weird vibe walking in here. And it happened twice. You just get this immediate feeling that you're an outsider. And everyone just stares at you. (I don't think I need to allude to why) Was with my wife and 3 small kids. The food was good. Which is why we went back a 2nd time. Maybe the 1st we were over analyzing or took something out of context. Nope. Even worse the 2nd time. Waited to be seated for 8 minutes before we just seated ourselves at an empty booth. There was only about 10 other tables that had customers so it wasn't busy. And multiple employees walked by us without even looking at us. After a few minutes and no less then 3x where the server just walked by us, I got up and got my kids some crayons and coloring menus out of one of their server stands. Thinking someone would see that and come over and apologize and take our order. Nope! After a few minutes we just walked out. We spent about 15 minutes total in there. This location made us feel unwelcome. our actual server was pleasant however, the greeter showed contempt upon seating us. During our visit same person asked our server if she was ok with assisting us. A suggestion for this location is a refresher training of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964. To remind the employees that the color of someone's skin is not as important as someone's character. read more

It's bobs, big boy, what do you expect? It is a diner that it is indeed, and the nostalgia from this place takes me back to my childhood. I used to frequent the bobs in diamond bar with my family as a young girl when I was young I enjoyed the hamburgers and fries and of course, the sweet treat afterwards. I was an adult I struggle to find something I enjoyed to eat an occasional salad bar or a plate of fries. Bob's never disappointed I think I really enjoy this place the most because just like visiting McDonald's you always know what you're going to get this location was not crowded somewhat clean and friendly staff. Growing up in Southern California, I always LOVED Bob's Big Boy. My father, brother and I used to go to the Burbank location at least once her week. Now their locations have dwindled mightily. So I was really disheartened a few years ago when I went to this location and experienced horrible service. It was so bad that I chose to swear off this location permanently. (I wrote a separate review on that back then). But today, with kids in tow, I decided to finally give it another try. It's literally been a few years, and things had to improve, right? NOPE! Boy was it wrong! I walked in with five total kids, ranging from 4 yrs old up to 16. There didn't seem to be any wait, but we respected the "Please wait to be seated" sign. With multiple tables open, and workers buzzing around the restaurant, I figured we wouldn't wait long. Nevertheless, we ended up standing there for over EIGHT MINUTES before someone even acknowledged our existence. Seriously, we had workers walk right by us multiple times and intentionally avoid eye contact! We were finally seated, and I started my watch again, I had a sneaking suspicion. The kid's immediately asked for ice cream and dove into the dessert menu. I told them that we were there for lunch, and put the dessert menu aside - I intentionally hid that menu from view. And we waited. And waited. And waited. I made eye contact with who I thought was a server, and her eyes darted from me. I decided, and told the kids, that if my watch hit 10 minutes, we were leaving. At 9 minutes, 23 seconds, a server came by and asked if we wanted water. When I told her that we had been there a while, and were ready to order, she scoffed and asked me to hold on a moment while she retrieved a different note pad. Seriously! We all put in our orders, and I thought we were set. But then she gave me this zinger: "Oh, you seem to not have a dessert menu." As she shoved a new dessert menu in front of the youngest children. "Would anyone like ice cream or shakes with their meals?" She smiled wryly at the youngest two kids, who lit up and literally cheered. I showed her that I had hidden the previous dessert menu, and reiterated to the kids that we were there for lunch. The server then very sternly glared at me and said: "That needs to stay ON the table." Seriously?! Either way, our food took another twenty minutes to come out. Further, I had asked that if they were ready, could she bring the youngest kids' meals out to get started on while the rest of us wait. A simple request I regularly make at other places - without issue. Apparently that was all too much to ask. Not only did she bring out our food after twenty minutes, she served everyone EXCEPT my 4 year old! She literally had forgotten his order! Not that she left it behind, she forgot to put in his order! Yeah, my little guy's sister and I shared our fries with him while he waited for his chicken strips. When we were finally finished, she had one more zinger for me. See, I had hidden BOTH of the dessert menus. I'm on a limited budget, and the kids did not need more sugar. Not only that, their prices have gone way up in the last few years! I wasn't going to spend another $40 to sugar-load our afternoon. That's my right as a parent to make that call. But, here comes our server, with an extra TWO dessert menus and says: "These seem to keep disappearing at this table," as she glared at me and puts them on the table in front of the kids, "Now, who wants ice cream?!" The two youngest went excitedly crazy again. But I didn't have to intervene. By now, the 16 year old had had enough. She said: "He said no. Dad said no. No thank you!" And she collected ALL FOUR of the dessert menus and handed them back to the server. That's my girl! The final straw, after all this and the waiting, my little guy wanted more apple juice. The server was kind enough to remind me that she had to charge me for it. Of course! $3.99 for a 6 oz cup of juice. Seriously?! But hey, it's the last &3.99 I'll EVER spend there. It's been more than three years since I was there. I don't plan on ever going back. read more

My family went to the restaurant today for lunch. The restaurant was mildly busy and we had a significant delay in the ordering process. I first noticed the drastic increase in price on the menu, but we chose to try the restaurant anyway. What we experienced was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. After finally ordering it took about 10min to get our salad which was the best part of the meal. The wait after the salad was quite extensive, over 45min. The food was in short disgusting. Double Decker The burger itself was hot, but the bread was hard, as in over toasted. The fries were not just cold, but tasted old and hard. Chili Side Based on this dish I am not sure how it became so famous. The chili was old and had a hard crust on top. The chili looked to be sitting for quite some time. The chili also tasted old. The bread on the side was burned, and should have never left the kitchen... disgusting! Cajun Alfredo Cold noodles with no spice. The sauce lacked the creaminess of Alfredo, and there was nowhere near enough for the 17 dollar menu price. The chicken looked like one of those frozen breasts you get in the store, underdone, with no flavor. The bread was the best part of the dish. Chocolate Cake A highlight in a sea of terrible food, tasty, with a strong Chocolate taste. Our meal for 3 was over 60.00 and I feel ripped off. The food was terrible, the service slow (75min for lunch!), and overall one of the worst restaurants I have ever dined at. If I could give zero stars I would... stay far away! read more

I kept it authentic and ordered the Thousand Island dressing and the salad was on point! The fries were excellent and the burger... omg... I can't believe I ate the whole thing!!! Haven't been to a Bob's Big Boy since the early 1990's. I honestly thought they went out of business. It was good to see one near Hammer and 6th Street while at a soccer tournament. Stopped in for lunch and it was like going back in time. I always loved going there. The food is still good. Everyone in my group liked and said they would go again. We got the best attention from the hottest who seated and our order taker. I haven't had that kind of service for a long time. We are going to make this a regular stop when in Norco. read more

Yesterday we were visiting San Diego and never got a chance for lunch. So I suggested lets go to Bobs on the way home. We were starving by the time we got to Norco but worth the wait. We parked in front and took a minimum of 20 pictures with the most amazing collection of fiberglass Bob statues spent way to much money in the souvenir shop and the services was very good so why 1 star ? The food is horrible see pictures below over cooked bacon reheated in the deep fryer undercooked greasy hash browns hard precooked pancakes. I drive to Norco to my sister's house and this is the only place I want to eat. I love the atmosphere, the staff are excellent and the food always fresh and amazing. I mean what can you say about the chocolate shake, premium. At a time when every American restaurant that goes out of business becomes Mexican food I'm happy to patronize this place everytime I'm in Norco.!!! read more

It's been awhile since I went to BBB, so last night met family at the one in Norco. We ordered the BBB combo, I took a bite into the hamburger, it had a funny taste, it didn't taste the same. I didn't want to say anything because I'm the one that suggested to eat here, but I noticed my sister didn't finish hers, I asked are you full? She replied it tastes funny, I said yes there's something different. So I opened the open, the hamburger was fully cooked, but it was so light in color, just didn't look right, so we didn't finish our meals. So I thought okay well I'll have the hot fudge cake, but when I saw the price almost $10, I thought well if the hamburger tastes funny, chances are I won't enjoy the dessert.
