Wow. Over 1 hour sitting here waiting for our food and watching people come in after after us and order and leave. Finally got our food and surprise surprise it's was horrible. Cold, no flavor or way too salty. The waiter came over 3 times after we got our food but prior to that we only saw him once and that was when we ordered the food. Really disappointed. My family didn't dine out often when I was a kid, but we did eat at Big Boy every now and then. I learned that there is a location in Norco and set out on a short road trip with my own family to have lunch. The parking lot may look super busy, but there is a Dutch Bros in the same lot and they seem really popular. It was busy in the restaurant, but we were seated right away. All of the employees were cheerful and made you feel welcome. One of my kiddos actually ate a Super Big Boy combo and one had the build your own burger, I had a Big Boy combo with salad & bleu cheese dressing, and my husband had the roast beef club sandwich. For an up charge, my husband and I ordered chili cheese fries with our meals. My salad was crisp and the Big Boy bleu cheese dressing never disappoints. All of us loved our lunches. I offered to buy a banana split for my kiddos to share and expected them to decline because there was so much food, but the appeal of a banana split won out and they were so happy excited to have one. At the register they sell Big Boy T-shirts, magnets, keychains, and their special blend of seasoned salt. I was very tempted to buy a T-shirt. Maybe next time. My family loved visiting Bob's Big Boy in Norco and we will definitely make the drive again! read more

Food was okay but not great. Service sucked big time. If the name on the check was actually our server, Karen, I would not want her ever again. She took our order. She placed it on the table when it was ready, walked away and never returned to see how our meal was, offer to refill our beverage glasses, or if she could do anything else for us. I attempted to get her attention because a requested condiment for my burger was missing. She would not make eye contact, instead turned away and went to the back ignoring me completely. When she did return at the end, she did ask if we saved room for dessert and I said no. She put the check on the table and walked away. This was my grandson's first to Bob's because I wanted to share something from my childhood days with him. Such a disappointment. AND they lost more of their sales because I was planning to order dessert for the two of us but with her lack of customer service, I decided I was not going to spend any of my hard earned money here. Bobs Big Boy is a classic place to get food if you like great food and great smiles. I ordered the classic Big Boy with the Fries, and they are delicious and taste way better than diner food, which is mind blowing. The Big Boy looks like a Big Mac from McDonald's, but tastes 100x better than McDonald's which is a great place to go to and the Burgers are seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of Salt & Pepper, and that's what I like on a good Burger. Their Fries are absolutely delicious with the Big Boy Seasoning, and they taste so fresh and have a ton of flavor, and you can also get the Big Boy Seasoning for home so that's a honor. If you love great food better than Dennys & IHOP check this place out, you would be surprised at how good it actually is. read more

I grew up with Bob's Big Boy. I had many good meals and experiences there. There are so few left in Southern California that it is worth seeking them out. Many of the classic menu items are still there. Look for the menu notations. I had the Chili Spaghetti and a Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake. This was a meal combination I had a lot of way back in the early 1980s when I was still in college. Bob's had a special for one month only for a mere $2.98. Anyways, it is substantially more now in price but it is still delicious. I noticed that the portion size is bigger now, too. The Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake was rich and delicious. The ice cream definitely helped balance out the sweetness of the chocolate cake. The hot fudge sauce was thick and slightly chewy. This was a delicious dessert and you should leave room so that it can be enjoyed. The restaurant also has a small merchandise store. There are t-shirts for sale as well as memorabilia. They also have the Bob's Big Boy salad dressings for sale as well as their famous red relish. The red relish is delicious on a grilled beef patty. This restaurant has many of the Bob's Big Boy statues from former locations as well as one with a cowboy hat to commemorate Norco. Be sure to have a picture taken next to one. read more

Our family was visiting California from Texas and really looking forward to Bob's Big Boy for dinner. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst takeout experiences we've ever had. We placed an online order for takeout totaling over $100. When my nephew went to pick it up, the restaurant said they did not have the order in their system--despite the fact that their POS system had already charged our card. He was told he had to re-order the entire meal, wait while they remade everything, and was charged a second time for another $100+. We were told the original charge might be refunded tomorrow. After waiting over an hour total, he finally brought the food home, only for us to discover that one of the meals was incorrect. My niece ordered chili spaghetti and received only chili with no spaghetti noodles at all. By the time we realized this, the restaurant was already closed, so there was no way to call and have the issue corrected. To make matters worse, we are driving back to Texas tomorrow night, so following up in person isn't an option. Between being double-charged, the excessive wait, incorrect food, and no ability to resolve the issue the same day, this experience was unbelievably disappointing. This was not the quality or service we expected, especially for a family dinner while traveling. read more

We.come all the way from Whittier to this location. Every time we come here we have had a great experience. The staff have always been so wonderful and so polite to us. The food has always been so delicious. We usually will order a burger with fries. We have gotten their shakes and they come with the glass of shake with the metal cup it was blended in with the extra. Trust me the shake can be shared with 2 people. We have one near us in Downey but the customer service, the food and the clean atmosphere keeps us coming back. read more

First let me say I have a handful of places that use ingredients and/or oils that don't upset my stomach and leave me in the bathroom. With that said, I will have to go back again and try something else off the menu to see if it happens again, because I really wanted to give it 4 stars. Our server was Laverne and she was great! She was friendly, thoughtful and has excellent customer service. This was like the original Bob's Big Boy 50's style diner. I love the decor of the restaurant. It's Bob's Big Boy, what more can I say. I love their little restaurant here in Norco. I believe we are one of the few Big Boys wearing a cowboy hat. Yippee Ki-Yay!! The ambiance is about as good as it gets for Big Boy. They have done a lot to give it a homey country atmosphere. I had the Fish and Chips, which was great. My husband had the burger which he said was good. The up charge for onion rings was a bit much, but they do have endless Arnold Palmer which I love. Our server was a very sweet young lady who was extremely attentive. We arrived here just before 6:00 PM on a Friday and we were seated and served right away. read more

The double burger with it 3 part bun & the signature Red Relish. Still taste the same . The salad with Bobs famous blue cheese dressing and crispy fries or onion rings. Service is friendly and prompt. While I did not indulge the classic hot fudge cake is available. In addition to a variety of desserts. This location is one of a vary few that was built after Marriott sold off Bobs. It has a 50 dinner look . Several Decades ago, Bob's Big Boy restaurants were fantastic! But, now, with only few of these iconic restaurants surviving, They aren't so good these days. The one in Norco, CA is a sad remaining example of a once great Hamburger chain. I've visited this Norco location several times, over the past few years, ordering their Super Big Boy Cheeseburger and their Turkey Club Sandwich, each time. I was So disappointed after each visit, with both of these menu items. Their Super Big Boy Cheeseburger has become Sooo... small now! This Cheeseburger used to be much larger and fill me up. But not now. Their Turkey Club sandwich used to be so filling and bacon generous. But, not now. This sandwich is now so small. And, it seems to use small "store bought" bread for its Turkey Club sandwich. Similar "Turkey Club Sandwiches", in the area, are slightly less expensive, and made with much larger "fresh baked bread slices" and they use "crispy" bacon. This Norco, CA Bob's Big Boy restaurant uses very "Fatty" rubbery bacon, which is very undercooked, IMHO. While I love the local nostalgia, of a Bob's Big Boy restaurant kinda "surviving" in Norco, CA., I can't recommend their current food menu. I Sooo... miss the food quality, and larger portion sizes, of the original Bob's Big Boy restaurants! Just say'in. read more
