Read some great reviews about this place so I decided to try it out. Ordered mushroom cheese steak and came with fries as a combo meal. Compared to the Cheese steak shop near my house Bob's gives a great deal in price and portion size. You really do get your monies worth! i would give this place a 4.5 stars because i have had better but this would have to be up there. I will be coming back because i want to try other things on the menu because they seem to have a great selection for reasonable prices. Make sure to bring cash! because that is the preferred method of pay by the store unless you want to be charged for using your card. read more

I've been going here for a few years, and their hoagies are definitely the best in town! I usually get the classic Philly Cheesesteak, and it is really good! They have a large selection of hot sauces, so they are worth trying. The place has decent service, and when it gets crowded during lunch hour, it gets a bit slow. Also if you are ordering to go, if you dont eat the food within 20 minute, the fries get really soggy. But other than that, its a great environment for a good hoagy, and as far as I believe, the only hoagy place in fremont. Worth a try! read more

This place is in the back corner of a dumpy strip mall, but the Chessesteak sandwiches are great! I always get American cheese and add mushrooms. DUHHH" - my fatty bf - avid cheesesteak fanatic. i cant believe i havent written a review for this place!!! i used to come here every other weekend when the bf and i were going through our "cheesesteak phase".. yes we go through food phases.. i even went so far as to try my hand at making cheesesteaks at home - it was successful.. but hard work.. so why not pay someone to do it for me? i admit, im a lazy person, so i eat fast food a lot... not good for my little pot belly.. but oh so good for my tastebuds!!! so i went here today after not going for like... 5-6 months... i couldnt believe how long it has been. but it was the first time i went on a weekday around lunchtime (i usually go at night) and it was craaaccckin. lol.. i just ordered to-go, i always call ahead.. and Bob is usually the one helping me... a word of advice: order the REGULAR size.. even if you're not that hungry... because the "mini" is just a half sandwich with the same amt of fries... so why not splurge the extra $1.50 or so and just get the whole sandwich and fries and a pickle wedge for about $7 or so. I've only had the hoagy steak and mushroom steak... but both are soooo yummmy! The mushroom steak is LOADED with mushrooms.. onions are optional.. but i always get em bc i like to think it adds extra flavor... im all about getting the most for my money so why not.. hahahah.. plus, i always save half for later because my eyes are always bigger than my stomach.. and being filichino... my eyes arent THAT big... you do the math. Like a lot of other yelpers said, theres tons of meat on these sandwiches, the bread is soft, and the steak fries go well with the sandwich. I was excited to try this place seeing that it had such high reviews, but it fell a bit flat. The food was just average. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but I couldn't. I've had this place twice, the first time I got the hoagy steak and the second time I've gotten the cheese steak. What I noticed both times was that the flavor is pretty lacking in the meat. Good local cheesesteak in Hayward. It's been awhile since i came back here. I ordered a simple cheesesteak with the works, fries, pickles etc. overall it was 7/10. This was my second experience with a cheesesteak. The first was good, but this was better. My only objection to this place is they don't have hot and/or sweet peppers. I didn't see the peppers as an option on the menu, but I could have just not looked well enough. The sandwich came with some fries on the side which completed my great dinner.
