The wife and I enjoy a good bar and Granbury finally has one! It's early and they are feeling their way around, but they have a great core of servers and bartenders. The food is currently very tasty and should only get better once they get the menu ironed out. Try the duck wings and you can order just 1 or maybe go for 87! They have a great area on the front porch, the inside is tight but homey, and the back patio is a jewel of a space. It's just off the square (hence the name) giving an excellent option if you wanted to wander the area on foot. A few more places like this and the square will finally become a year round option for us locals. read more

Michael, upon hearing we were stranded by a lack of Uber's after 9.30, not only found someone to take us home but also volunteered his car and cleaned it... this was so above and beyond I can't express our gratitude. Overall the music is good but as always the customer service is 0/10. I've been to many bars and this bar out of all of them is probably the most rude bar. I'm new the the area and this is the 2nd time I come here. Didn't like my past visit because we and other people got kicked out for sitting in a sitting area with other people. We were all confused as to why and so were the other people sitting with us?? I guess you have to make sure to reserve a table before going. I mean I've constantly seen reviews on here and others about the same situation accruing over and over... seems like that's the reason a lot of people will not go back there. I feel if they're going to kick people out in the area because someone else reserved it they should at least let the people there know before so they don't feel confused as to why they're getting kicked out of that area. Common sense. The guy picking up the drinks was very nice but on the other hand the bartenders are really rude and don't even acknowledge you. After that whole situation from the first visit I thought I'd give it another chance. Spent a pretty good amount of money and I was enjoying the music until the managers friend was falling by the table and the other guests table. We saw that the table next to us went to go complain and the manager didn't do anything about it because I guess they're friends. Not a really professional thing to do if you own a business but okay. I went to go close my tab and they said they couldn't find the name which is weird so then we went to the other bartender inside and they closed it for us like I'm so confused...I went to go get a couple drinks and one of the bars friends was yelling at some couple to get in the back of the line obnoxiously multiple times. Seems like at this bar and they choose their friends over customers never going back again would rather drive an hour to another bar. Sweet spot just off the square in Granbury offering full bar service and select menu. Awesome patio area in back with comfy couches, tables, TV's and live music on the weekends. This place isn't real big and can become kinda tight on space but service was good and food was prepared quickly and everything tasted great. Definitely will be returning to try the burger and duck wings on the next visit. read more

Bobs off the square bar & grill has really good food. But I do have to say there was a lady at the front who let us know that "after 8:30 pm 21 and up would only be able to stay"... for why I don't know. A little bird told me it's because of there lawsuit there going through. Whatever I get it. But when it hits 8 pm and another staff members comes and tells us the same thing... "after 8:30 anyone under 21 would have to leave" it's very disappointing and sick because it ruins our talking and eating when we had already been told that at the front. I think someone should work on this. read more

Very disappointing! Wanted to have a light meal but all tables had been "reserved" for the show @ 7:30. We were there at 6:15. Basically told if we sat at a "reserved" table and hadn't finished by the time those people arrived, we would have to move. Sat in the bar instead. The wait staff were cussing and using the "F" word. Too crowded. Only one bathroom per gender. Makes it difficult when it's so crowded. Smokers here are inconsiderate of rules. Had to mention to management many times guest we're smoking inside. They were told to go outside but they kept smoking inside anyway. read more

We had a bad experience here for mothers day. The waitress working (Kylie) should get a raise. She was doing everything! They usually have plenty of staff, but not tonight. The food was off bad. The French dip wasn't good, nor was the Philly cheesesteak. I had the armadillo eggs and were burnt. Out of 6 of us, four had hair in their food. Apparently there was a new cook? We ordered Amarillo balls and they came out black. Like, not just a little overdone, but straight up BLACK, burnt to a crisp. We asked for them to give us new ones, and it had a hair in it. My friend ordered a Phili cheesesteak and it sat on the counter fir 15 minutes. She asked the manager about it and "went to the bathroom and forgot" so he said. Ehhhh. Not so much. read more

Geoge, Randy, and Issac are great cooks, and I love Andy she is awesome behind the bar. When you bring in a new, GM they usually fire everyone. Loved the ambience of the place....looked like it could be a lot of fun on an evening with friends, a band, good food and a drink!!! BUT.....we waited over an hour for our food for lunch (ordered 2 salads and an appetizer). When other customers that had come in AFTER us were receiving their food, we called the waitress over. Ends up she forgot to put our order in. We chose to leave, and were still charged for the one drink we bought ($6.50). Not happy!!!!! I would give this less than one star if I could. My husband went to Bob's off the square for take out. I couldn't get what I wanted because they were out of chicken so I got the philly sandwich w/ onion rings and the beignets. Onion rings were limp with grease ( I guess they hadn't changed the oil lately) The Philly was dry and burnt as were the beignets . the reason for this review is because you could LOOK at the food and see how the food looked and the staff still sold the food as is. The fries at Bob's are exquisite. I would recommend the jalapeño margarita and adult grilled cheese. Your meal is often accompanied by live music and very few mosquitos. Most of the seating is outside, there are fans and it is quite enjoyable. You can play corn hole while you wait. read more
