    Spinach Pesto And Stracciatella Pizza
    Yining D.

I've had Bob's Pizza at a few Yelp events and have always enjoyed all their pizzas. I went in for their happy hour pizza deal from 4-5 pm Monday - Thursdays for a BOGO. I got a pepperoni pizza and spinach pesto pizza. Both were ready within 15 minutes and were delicious! The crust is chewy but not too thick so you can eat a few slices without feeling really full. The red sauce they used for the pepperoni pizza was flavorful and you could tell it's homemade. I also got the Brussels sprouts appetizer that was crispy, slightly acidic from the lemon but really delicious. It was a bit oily so not you're healthiest appetizer. There's paid street parking around the area. The restaurant was really clean with lots of booth seats. The staff were efficient, friendly and professional.

Fist time at Bob's. Heard many good things from fellow yelpers so I just had to drop by and try myself. I'm usually a tavern pizza kind of guy squares, hate the slices. But with Bob's pizza, I'll let it slide on the slice. It's Jan 2 and my "no pizza for the year" resolution already broke. It was worth it. Most excellent pizza, the crust was perfect (I'm a crust guy). The pickles was frankly a bit weird. Not often my default, but I tried it because it's different. Came with some mortadella as well, it went well together it's a dill flavored pizza with some sour that brought out the flavors. The mushroom was my fav of the two. Good texture on them, I think the onions added a good touch. I did takeaway this occasion - they have a bogo deal on pizzas (either carryout or in restaurant) between 4-5pm on the weekdays, so definitely going to be on my radar going fwd whenever I have the pizza crave. I think I got there at 3:58 when they just opened their front door and the system was not primed for the bogo yet. If I was down the block I'll probably order once a week. Gotta try the other pizzas on the menu. The space is a great place to catch a game, lots of tvs. And was wonderfully decorated post the winter holiday period. Parking kind of difficult on Davis Street. All meters.

I haven't been to the other 3 locations but this is one convenient spot for me. I missed the Yelp event here but was able to dine in and was very much impressed with the size of the restaurant, the cool decor and casual atmosphere. The pizzas are huge too and they are flexible and will allow to order half and half pizzas. With this flexibility in ordering, you can try four different pizzas by just ordering two half and half's. So that's what we got, because who doesn't like left over cold pizza in the morning. Moreover, with my air fryer oven, I can now make left over pizza as crispy as ever. Of the 4 types I would say the wild mushroom with Brie was thee best. You can really taste that mushroom and cheese in each and every bite. The arugula with sausage and the Margherita were fine too but I would still say that the mushroom was the best of the pizzas. I didn't get into the Korean BBQ chicken pizza, there was was plenty of meat but it didn't really resonate with me. Because of the aforementioned, I'd probably get an entire mushroom pizza next time due to it being so flavorful. I understand that they have a popular pickle pizza, sorry but that sounds a little salty for me. Like an acquired taste for anchovies on one's pizza. I do like the overall vibe of the restaurant will be back for more!!

Bobs pizza is a Chicago town favorite that makes their own "Pilsen-Style" bread using Old Style Beer. Talk about something more Chicago. It's a nice cross breed between New York (thin and big) and Neapolitan (soft). Super delicious! Next time I think I'll ask for it well done to get an extra crunch. TRY THE PICKLE PIZZA. I know it sounds funky, but there's something about that cheese, salty pickle, meat combo ... FLAVOR EXPLOSION. Vibes were immaculate! The inside decor took me my surprise. Very unique , mirrors covering walls, bunker like booths, HUGE, and they even had one of those 12 foot skeletons. Cool place to hang out.

A fabulous pizza place, might be our new go to pizza spot. We did a carryout order during their happy hour deal. BOGO for any pizza from 4-5pm (4pm is right when they open), Mon-Thurs. We did a carryout order right when they opened at 4pm and the order came out pretty quick, done by 4:15pm. We got the Pickle pizza and the Wild Mushroom pizza. Both of these pizzas were delicious. The crust was not over cooked, just how I like it, not burnt. I had seen a lot of reviews for this place and had to figure it out for myself. It held up and we will be back to try some more pizzas on the menu.

Dare I say, this is one of my new favorite pizza spots?? I think so. I went to the Evanston location but they also have locations in Hyde Park, Old Town, and Pilsen. Me and my friends went on Saturday during St. Patty's weekend and fortunately it wasn't super busy. The Evanston location is pretty spacious with a big bar area and lots of TVs good for watching sports. Plenty of seating too! Appetizers: We ordered the cheese curds and the fried pickle chips for the table to start. Both were very good! The batter on both apps were light and not super heavy. Kind of greasy but that's expected. The pickle chips were more thinly sliced. I would recommend both! Bob's sausage pizza: This pizza made my eyes widen after the first bite. Yes, it may seem like your average sausage pizza but the pickled onions really made a difference. So so good! Also their presentation gets a 10/10 from me it just looks so appetizing!! Wild mushroom pizza: Perfect for the plant eaters out there! This pizza was amazing and packed with so much savory flavor. They aren't skimpy with the mushrooms either. Not to mention the brie on top made it *chefs kiss*

Half and half: Pickle Pizza and Smoked Chicken Sausage Pizza

We drove about 50 mins to order Bobs pizza. We went for happy hour, which is between 4-5pm. The happy hour deal is buy one pizza and get one free. We order 4 different pizzas between two pies. 1st was pickle pizza, 2nd smoked chicken sausage pizza, 3rd wild mushroom pizza, and pesto pizza. All of the pizzas are delicious, but I think the pesto pizza stole the show. The pickle pizza is unique, but also really good (a close 2nd). Inside the restaurant you can find traditional dinning, private booths, and or bar seating with TVs to watch the game. When we went there was no street parking, we parked in a parking lot under a bank for 5 bucks. Our server was pretty great, he had great vibes, and was super kind. I would definitely go back.

What a great pizza joint find in my neighborhood! Bob's pizza was on my bookmarks for the longest time and over the weekend, we finally carved out some time to visit Bob's. The restaurant is spacious and well decorated. I love the booths to the left and thankfully got an opportunity to sit in one of them. Bob was our server for the day and did an excellent job going over the menu and checking in on us often. Our family ordered the Sausage and Mushroom minus the onions and it was a hit! The pizza is somewhere between a thin and pan. Flavors were present and the pizza was simply savory. I don't enjoy pizza crust and tend to discard the crust but I actually enjoyed eating it. The dough is light and airy with a touch of crunch. Husband ordered the garlic parm wings and fries. The wings were decent but the fries sadly are a pass. Not sure if it was a one-off but the fries just tasted flat. Parking is metered street parking along Davis or any of the bordering streets. The food and service was good and we would make a return visit for in person or takeout.

sharp wood chunk baked into Bob's pizza

Bob's used to make satisfying 4.5-star pizza! We got to-go pizzas and salads every couple weeks. However, the consistency of the pizzas has gotten bad in the last year or so. Like, they forget cheese on a pizza, so all the sauce and toppings slide off in a gross wet soup. Or they dump toppings in a soggy pile in the middle, and each slice has a 3' deep crust with no toppings or sauce. The last time we tried Bob's, I bit down on a large (about 1.5") chunk of wood. See pic. One end tore my gums. I emailed them and they said, "We'd love to refund you but we're switching to a different billing software right now..." and I never heard back. They're really very lucky I'm not litigious, because I could have sued the crap out of them for putting a sharp foreign object inside a pizza. We will never eat from Bob's again.

I wouldn't go out of my way for Bob...pun intended. pizza was ok...maybe coz of the hype ...I was hoping to find NY style pizza outside of the city...the pizza itself was alright...but failed the folding test and the 'handle' is too doughy while the rest of the slice is too 'crunchy'... the sausage was really tasty! But the overall pizza flavor wasn't there tho... the pickled onion and wild mushrooms were not baked in, instead, literally add-on.... What really brought the stars down is the service. Mark was the only nice person there, otherwise, our server was brisk, the bar tender was like...too busy to even repeat the name of the liquor u asked, host is non existent even after you stood there for 10min while the place wasn't even full...

Bob's Pepperoni Pizza Side of Garlic Honey
    Kate K.

Ive wanted to try this place for awhile and finally got around to. I did opt for delivery versus eating inside, so I am guessing fresh would be even better. The pizza arrived timely- we got Bobs pepperoni, which has basil on it as well and a side of garlic honey. Pizza was good, crust was chewy, sauce was flavorful. The garlic honey really tasted more just like plain honey it lacked the garlic flavor. Id skip that next time and try something else. Overall experience 4/5

    Smoked Chicken Sausage Pizza

TLDR: Great pizza, great apps, great atmosphere. Food: Ordered the goat cheese app and the chicken sausage pizza. The app was delicious. Goat cheese had some slightly sweet red sauce in it and was served with delicious bread. Pizza was incredible. Red sauce was slightly sweet and pizza had a little honey on it. Goat cheese on it was great and chicken sausage was delicious too. Slices were massive. Will for sure go back and try more apps and other types of pizzas. Everything else: Servers were very friendly. Drinks were great. Decent beer selection. Atmosphere is really cool and is good for large and small groups alike. Can go to watch weekend football with all the tvs or for a low key dinner. Summary: Really enjoyed this place. Not your average pizza - it's unique and really delicious. Would give it a 4.5 instead of a 4. There is better pizza in Chicago but this is up there. All around great experience and you'll be happy you visited. I'll be coming back.

    Just cheese yo!

Fantastic pizza. You can't really throw it into a category. With the Pilsner crust it's really in a league of its own. I love cheese pizza. This was good as just cheese. However, I wish I'd have gotten some toppings. I know the pizza purists will hate this but pineapple, ham, roni and onions would create a super flavor power. Highly recommend.

If I ate this today as a kid, that memory wouldn't be of the food--it would be of a spanking. I used to swear by this place in college. It was the gold standard for a good, affordable meal with real heart. But lately, it's clear that profitability is the new priority. They've swapped high-quality ingredients for "cheap" fillers, leaving the dishes feeling hollow. The Technical Breakdown: * The "Watery" Problem: Does the kitchen not own a colander? The dishes are swimming in excess moisture, which kills the integrity of the meal. * The Sauce: It used to be the soul of the plate; now it feels like a rushed accident. * Not So Pro Tip for the Kitchen: If you want to save the dish, cook the last few minutes of the pasta IN the sauce.
