The pizza is a bit pricey for what you get. They downgraded their specials due to "costs" which I think is nutty. The potato wedges are hit-and-miss. More than once we got home to find a container full of burnt potatoes. There are other similar or better tasting pizza joints that are more reasonably priced. read more

First time trying this place and it's pretty mediocre. We ordered the family pack with large pizza, wings, and 2 ltr. The pizza had 2 topping and when you try to grab a slice it's so flimsy everything but the sauce was sliding off. The wing we got were mango habanero and buffalo and other than the sauce chicken was tasteless. As for the fries they were baked which is not a big deal but when we tried them it was like biting into a baked potatoe literally, it was just mushy and not appetizing at all. Nice remodel but they really missed the mark. Was overcharged for sodas and there was no explanation. Ordered a few appetizers and there was no ranch to be found. I really don't like giving high ratings for pizza joints unless I truly believe it's the best pizza in town. I tried their pizza yesterday, and noticed how the ingredients seemed so fresh, cheese tasted 100% authentic and the pizza crust had the perfect amount of crunch and softness simultaneously. To me, the sauce is what matters.. you can have all the right ingredients, crust, etc., but without the perfect sauce; the pizza is nothing. Their sauce is awesome! It's not those hole in the wall places with the runny sauce, but actually thick enough you can taste it in every bite. The prices are cheap, the place is clean, the owners are nice, and I also heard he grates his own cheese by hand! I wish I lived closer, but oh well... the 20 minute drive is completely worth it. My parents have been coming here since they first opened. This pizza place is the best! We usually get the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and we are never disappointed! Today we ordered the Bob's Special which consists of 1 large 2 topping pizza, chicken wings and a 2 liter soda. They aren't cheap about the condiments either! They make sure to give you ketchup, ranch, Parmesan cheese and napkins! There was a mix up with the pizza but the owner there knows us and just gave us the extra pizza on the house.! EIGHT DOLLARS?! we only finished half and i was getting hungry too. it was a 10 minute wait so we were wondering around the store and ended up getting a soda ($.75) from the store, so really our dinner was quite cheap! even a little tv on showing the news! the pizza is pretty good too! the cheese got everywhere and it was quite oily but i didn't mind! there's only a small table against the wall with 3 chairs in the store, so try not to go with more than 2 of your friends unless you intend to get it to-go! also, a couple of the reviews said it was clean. i didn't get a "clean" feeling but honestly, it's as clean as an $8 large pizza can get without complaining! this was definitely an experience and we got good pizza too! read more

Pizza was good just really bad customer service. Ordered take out last Sunday for the Raider and Washington game. I was extremely specific about my pizza order repeated 5 times to be sure it was clear and it didn't come out as ordered. Person who handled my order was extremely arrogant and very rushy as if they were very busy. After years of frequenting R&G Food Basket in Norwalk for all our Mexican food necessities, it's depressing how much horrible pizza I've consumed in my life before discovering Bob's Pizza in the very same parking lot this past year. Yes, in a 98¢ store. A prep table, a giant pizza oven and two guys behind a display case of bootleg baseball caps, churning out gooey, fresh, tasty, incredibly-perfect pizzas. Snobs need not bother. If you're looking for cheesy pizza to accompany some beers and a game, take this every time over the Pizza Huts and Papa John's of the world. The hand-tossed crust is soft with just the right amount of crispiness. The cheese is generous but not overly greasy. The sauce is flavorful and savory. It's refreshing to actually taste the peppers and onions on a pizza, rather than the over-cooked mush found in other joints. Nothing gourmet or overly complicated, just basic, cheap, delicious pies that take you back to eating pizza as a kid. And yeah, cheap. The low-overhead operation allows them to charge less than the corporate pizza factories producing greasy slop on every corner. The menu is limited and straight-forward. The only accompaniment I've tried thus far has been the wings: breaded-yet-sticky, yet somehow spectacularly amazing. Good spice, always taste fresh. The potato wedges look good but I don't care for extra starch with my pizza. Carry out only, no delivery. If you live within 5 miles, there's no reason not to make the trip. It's basically a one stop shop! It's a very small operation, so each pizza is made to order on the spot with a sprinkle of TLC (not THC). They use fresh ingredients. The real highlight, the pièce de résistance of the pizza, is the cheese and the dough. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they make their own pizza dough everyday. The dough makes for a crispy crust with an unbelievably delicious, soft, and chewy center. Mmm...dat dough doe. Also, the mozzarella cheese really stands out. Their pizza is so cheesy that it should be called the Nicholas Sparks. Anyways, if you're in the local area and it's past 3:00pm, you should definitely stop by and try their pizza. Maybe a bad day for Bob's but our pastrami pizza was horrible. Hard crust over cooked and the pastrami & pickles were whole on the pizza. Needed a knife. Couldn't enjoy. Wings were salty and cold. I AM NOT FROM NORWALK. As a result maybe I have no concept of the pizza options in Norwalk, but when the sign in the window reads "The Best Pizza in Town" you do get your hopes up. I am writing this review at 2:30AM on Sunday after having eaten at Bob's at 6:45PM Saturday night. I will explain why I am up so late at the end of this review. I was going to a 7:30 show at the AMC 20 in Norwalk and my girlfriend was running late. Our pre movie dinner plans got thrown out the window as a result but we still needed to eat. She loves pizza so a quick Yelp search found Bob's. Why not? The Yelp reviews were positive. So we walked in there about 6:45PM and there WAS NO ONE IN THERE! Maybe it's just a carry out place? We talk to the cashier and we ask about a menu and she tells us it's over at the end of the counter. We walk to the end of the counter and don't see a damn thing!!!! We look over at her and shrug like "what the f" and she points out a chalk board that's in the dark next to the pizza oven. OK? Spidey Senses are saying "leave" but we hung in there! We ordered a large with Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, Mushroom, Black Olive, Jalapeño and EXTRA SAUCE and ask that they go THICK CRUST. We then ask if they have drinks. We are told that "the drinks are around the corner." There is a cooler and I spy a bottled soda that looks interesting. I ask if they have cups and ice and I am told "No." Oh well, Bottled Water it is! The pizza came out and it looked a little under cooked. The crust was doughy and should/could have been a little crisper. Wow! We ordered EXTRA SAUCE and my girlfriend said "good thing we ordered extra sauce because if we hadn't this thing would have been bone dry!" Years ago Don Steeves Chevrolet in La Habra used to have advertising that read "The Largest Chevy Dealer in La Habra." Don Steeves Chevrolet was the Only Chevy Dealer in La Habra! Much like Bob's claiming to be the best pizza in town maybe at one time it was the only pizza in town? There was a movie, Johnny Dangerously and in it a character played by Joe Piscapo would say "this happened to me once" and emphasized ONCE and held out his index finger on his right hand. Well, I ate at Bob's Pizza once. ONCE. I will not be back. So why am I writing a review at 2:30AM instead of being asleep? I got back to my place at around midnight and have made numerous trips to the restroom since. As I am writing this my stomach is gurgling like crazy so much and so loudly that my cat keeps looking at me with a frightened look on his face! An addendum after I posted my initial write up at 2:30AM... My girlfriend called me in the mid morning and asked if I had an "upset stomach!" Though not as extreme as what I experienced she shared that she had "problems" before she went to bed and again when she woke up. So for anyone else who had some Bob's on Saturday the 3rd, did you get any stomach distress? Norwalk, if this is the best pizza in town I strongly suggest you check neighboring communities for alternatives. I would write more, but I need to make another trip to the restroom! read more

Cleared up the hours of operation for the pizza side of the store. According to the man behind the counter, M-F 3pm-8pm Weekends 1:30pm-8pm Located in the 98cent store. Delicious, fresh, affordable pizza. Carry out only. Medium was just enough for 2 hungry people. Will definitely opt for the large next time because I love leftovers! Sauce is great, cheese was generous, toppings werent anything spectacular but just enough for the price if ~$12 for a three topping large. Crust was good but a bit under cooked, another couple more minutes in the oven would have done wonders but overall a great piece of pie. This is my second time coming back to bobs and I still enjoy their pizza! The first time I ordered a medium vegetarian and it was delicious, quality cheese and the dough was they way I like it. The second time I ordered a large pepperoni,mushroom, jalapeño with hot wings and potato wedges. The pizza was amazing like last time. The wings were okay needed more flavor and time to crisp but the wedges were great.
