All the reviews prior to the 2026 season are from a whole different owner who can now be found with his signature pizza that had been served in Virginia City in the bobs place space from 1997 through 2025 now the original bobs pizza can be found on the boardwalk next to the Pioneer bar and is now called kirk bobs slice shack and its still as good as it was the last 28 years just different location! I rate the previous owners 5 , have tried to go to the bobs place on contents corner several times but they are never open even though the hours online say they should be have seen so many different hours of operation posted that im thoroughly confused and regardless had friends in town on July 3rd and they were locked up lights out at 5 pm so cant rate the quality of the new tenants but not impressed when not open when their posted hours say they should be read more

Pizza is delicious!! 100% recommend the Bison with peppers and onions. The crust was so good I actually at the entire thing. Friendly and quick service. Clean place. Would definitely dine here again. read more

An old timer pizza place for a quick slice and then back out to stake your claim in this gold mining town. Lots to see and do in town so the quick slices are an easy choice when you have limited time. Didn't get a chance to try much, but it was fine. read more

Stopped mid afternoon for a bite. Ate pretty good orzo salad while we waited for the lasagna which took a bit long in my opinion to come out. The top later of lasagna was all dried out so we didn't eat that. It was kind of bland lasagna. I like it more garlicky and saucy than it was. Service was great. It's a pretty phenomenal pizza place. Kirk and his crew are very friendly and know how to run a restaurant. I highly recommend going at least once whether you're a local or tourist. Pizza runs the show here, but don't be afraid to try a slice of pie. The one I tried kind of had a yogurt, creamy texture rather than filling texture, so if you like that sort of thing, I reinforce my statement. read more

Surprisingly good pizza, particularly in a rural area. I wish I had found this place earlier instead of its second to last day of the summer season. I will say its a tad pricy for some items, but not outrageously so. I mostly attribute this to the high cost of obtaining ingredients in rural areas rather than any price gouging on the owners part. That being said, this gripe is not across the board as far as their offerings go. The pizza and a pint deal would have been awesome had I not been abstaining from beer at the time. As a final note, it is clear they take COVID seriously as all staff were masked, plexiglass barriers, social distancing markers, hand sanitizing stations, and even menu sanitization were all being practiced. Best pizza! We went through town for the first time a few days ago. My boys wanted ice cream, but it had just closed for the evening. We wandered over to Bob's and figured we'd give it a shot. Amazing pizza!! We went to the steakhouse but they wouldn't seat us without a reservation. We wandered into Bob's Place. The were a bit understaffed, but the 2 people working were great!!! Do yourself a favor and grab a bite to eat here. I recommend the Slice-and-a-Pint Special. A slice of Wood Fired Pepperoni and a pint of Montana Craft Beer for $7. Hell of a deal if you ask me. The menu on the Yelp is wrong. There are no hot sandwiches. The wraps are all cold. We had the curry chicken salad which was tasty. A friend had the pizza and she like it. The crust is different, not thin crust. Side salad was good size fir the price. Review is based on the fact that no hot sandwiches available. read more

We came in on a Friday night looking forward to a good pizza. Aside from a few dirty tables, it was clean and inviting. As others have said, the place was understaffed with only one cook and one waitress. Our pizza was not worth upwards of $20 - tasteless crust with overcooked chicken, sparse veggies and a bland Alfredo sauce. We left disappointed. read more

In town for the evening...excellent pizza. We were with another couple and ordered 2 large pizzas. We had the margherita (basil, tomato, mozzarella) and a bacon (yes real pork bacon) and tomato pizza. Dough was made fresh, was thin crust pizza with just the right amount of chewy. We're from Bozeman. We took our once a summer trip to Virginia City today, Sunday, June 9, 2013 to see the Virginia City Players (Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson mystery). The VCP's are AWESOME as usual! We needed to get a bite to eat before the theater. We walked down both sides of the the main street (Wallace St.?), and finally decided on pizza. We wanted to eat somewhere that looked a little busy, hoping the food products would be fresh. Honestly, we were hoping the food would simply be edible, and expected little. We ordered a 15" Hawaiian pizza. IT WAS AWESOME, AMAZING, BLEW US AWAY! Too much for 2 hungry ladies though. We stuffed ourselves, because it was so good! Sauce was spiced, but not spicey... The crust was amazing (girls make it in the window), not thick, but not thin. Edge was crispy but not overcooked. We ate the edge crust too!. The pizza was so CHEESY, better than any pizza I've ever ordered with "extra cheese." It was possibly the best pizza we have ever had. We only eat Tarantino's in Bozeman, and this place could give Tarantino's a run for their money. Both are really good! I've had Chicago pizza (in Chicago), Italian pizza in pizzaria's owned by Italians. This was GOOD, and there was no skimping on product. Cheese almost all the way to the edge! Crazy good. The server's are pleasant and efficient. Maybe they could be just a little bit more cheerful/happy, but no complaints as the pizza was so good. I would recommend Bob's Place to anyone. Get your ice cream here too (Wilcoxins). We have always gone to the place which makes and sells "home made ice cream," across the street and down by the entrance. That place changed their recipe. We spent a lovely afternoon in Virginia City..ended at Bob's Place..and were quickly informed that our service dog was unwelcome. Informing them that it was illegal to do so fell on "Bob's" deaf ears. We were told we could sit in the outside seating are that was filthy. We ordered pizza to go..it was expensive and poor quality. We were not excited by the menu and prices at Wells Fargo down the road, so we were quick to decide on Bob's Place. Overall, we were happy with the choice. Had lunch there for 2 days during our stay in VC. Excellent food! I had Italian sandwich (very filling) and BLT. My son had kids pepperoni pizza both days. Friendly service. A little on the expensive side, but this is a tourist area. It can get very crowded, but definitely worth the wait! read more
