The rustic atmosphere fits the Yellowstone area well and makes for a comfortable place to eat. The pizza was good enough, but the salad was a letdown. Service is counter-order only, and the employee who took our order wasn't very friendly or welcoming. One thing that didn't sit well with me was being asked to tip before receiving any service, only to find out afterward that customers are expected to bus their own tables. If you're going to ask for a tip up front, I'd expect a higher level of service. We tried out Yellowstone Pizza Co this evening for dinner - We got the Yellowstone and Hell Roaring Pizza. I preferred the Hell Roaring due to having more red sauce than the other. The Yellowstone has a lot of toppings which we liked, but the spinach wasn't really cooked with it in the oven. It came out dry and just sitting on top of the pizza so it fell off when trying to take a bite. Both lacked flavor, needed more seasonings, or better quality ingredients. At least the cheese was plentiful and had a good stretch. Kind of disappointed in the quality for what you pay for and it being a medium-small pizza. Ambiance was nice, especially the outdoor seating. The food also came out fast! Didn't really have any interaction with the staff besides placing the order. They have a great location, all would be perfect if the food just had a bit more flavor! read more

We ordered a 13-inch medium pizza--apparently the *only* size they offer--which was half pepperoni and half cheese. Unfortunately, the pizza was extremely mediocre. The crust had very little flavor, and the toppings didn't help much either. I've honestly had frozen pizzas that tasted better. They also tack on an unexplained 4% surcharge to every order. Since we were staying in a hotel without an oven, we couldn't just heat up a frozen pizza, but that would have been both cheaper and far better. The total came to $20.80 plus tax, which is a terrible value for such disappointing quality. I do NOT recommend this place. Save your money and buy a frozen pizza instead. We ordered the Lamar Valley pizza. It was ok, basically just something to fill our stomach but flavor was nothing special. Crust is thin, barely any chicken was on each piece that I actually forgot it came with chicken. Raw spinach on top leaves a weird film in your mouth. We also got a large classic salad and the lettuce was wilted and brown. Service was fast and they bring the food to the table but you do have to get your own paper plates and utensils. Overall pretty unimpressed... unfortunately it's the only pizza spot in town as the one on the other end of town (Outlaw) closed down after the owner died. However they do have a nice rooftop patio area with mountain views. Would be good for just getting drinks and hanging out up there. read more

It tasted delicious, just imagine seasoned beef with some of your favorite pizza toppings, especially since I was so hungry. If you're looking for a quick pizza spot with no frills, this is the spot for you. The interior isn't anything fancy, but there is a good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside. Great pizza spot. The pizzas were pricey, but worth it. It had great flavor with quality ingredients. Service was super friendly as well. They had beers I hadn't tried before and they were very accommodating with giving samples. The decor is mountain rustic chic. Decent pizza right by the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. I ordered a Norris Pizza, which had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and onion (it normally has olives but I asked for no olives). It was also supposed to be topped with fresh spinach, but I did not see any spinach on my pizza... the other toppings were decent though they could have been a bit more generous with the mushrooms and onion. Also a lot of the toppings were just concentrated in the center of the pizza rather than being more spread out. The crust was thin but not too hard so that was good. While I enjoyed the pizza, I'm not sure if it was fully worth the $27. As mentioned, this place is literally right across the street from the Roosevelt Arch and the entrance to the park, making it a super convenient location for anyone just entering or leaving the park. The interior has a casual vibe and you order at the register before they bring the food to you. There is a decent amount of seating and there was no line when I was there for dinner. The lady at the register was fairly friendly. Overall, I think the location is definitely the best part about this place. Just for the convenience alone, it might be worth stopping by - again, pizza was not bad, but not the greatest either. read more

I don't do a lot of critical reviews. This is an exception. Starts with the restaurant quietly charging the legally allowable max surcharge on CC payments - 4%. I'd be highly suspect that all CC payments are sending 4% fees to Yellowstone Pizza. My suspicion - they make money on most CC transactions. Pizza is nothing special. And it's pricy for the 13" you get. But, not a lot to choose from and you do get to look out onto the Northern entrance to Yellowstone NP. Over $22 for an underwhelming pizza (with parm and peppers available in packets). Meh. We also had the ravioli starter and a salad. They were also... ok. Best thing about YPC was the woman taking orders and running the till. Delightful. Strong tap beer selection (7$). I love to give positive reviews. YPC can't get one. I want my 4% back. read more

Ordered 2 pizzas, they only offer 1 size. Medium/8 slices thin crust. The price did not match the quality or quantity. Each pizza was about $23-27. The quality and flavor were just "okay". Additionally they expect a tip and then don't even bother to give you plates. Like we are seated at a table with a pitcher of beer waiting for our pizzas, they plop the 2 boxes of pizzas down and walk away. Who doesn't use a plate. And also tried the vegetarian Paint Pots pizza along with their house salad. Many different salad dressing selections to choose from. They also have a great selection of beers and soft drinks. Not an amazing place to get pizza, but definitely the best option in Gardiner. We'll call it 4 stars, but flag that it would likely only earn 3 stars elsewhere. The place is busy on a summer evening, but they turn the pizzas around quickly enough. Have some decent options for eating upstairs al fresco (when not too hot), downstairs on long tables, or on some small tables streetside. Decent drink options. Mostly counter service, but friendly. I have multiple great things to say about Yellowstone Pizza Company 1. Their food was the best in the city by a huge margin. Their ranch dressing was great and the pepperoni pizza was a good size and fed the four of us well. 2. The price was the most reasonable as well. A large salad and pepperoni pizza was less than 40 bucks and enough for four people. Between the taste and the price we ate there two days in a row. 3. Finally and THE MOST IMPORTANT, we left something of value there and we were hours away by the time they opened for the day. After talking to the manager David, he was super nice and mailed it back to us! So, if you find yourself in Gardiner, Montana, make sure to hit up Yellowstone Pizza Company. The pizza was awful. Before this place, I always said that there is never a bad pizza, even when it isn't great. Well, this place proved me wrong. I'd rather have a Totino's frozen pizza, at least I know it will be garbage for a cheap price. The sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce with zero seasoning. The cheese was fine I suppose. While planning our trip to Gardiner, we had bookmarked this place to try out. We didn't feel comfortable dining indoors, so we opted for takeout. Besides, we had a lovely patio looking over the river back at our cottage, so why not practice social distance plus look at a killer view (see Riverside Cottages in Gardiner). We ordered some cheese bread, the elk pizza, and some wings. The main draw that brought us here was the elk pizza (love you, elks, but we wanted to try you). Great pizza and fried ravioli. The pizza had a nice thin crust compared to your typical pizza. I ordered the mammoth pizza. I was not a huge fan of the amount of onions on the pizza so I ended up picking off most of them. My husband had a margarita pizza with Canadian bacon and habaneros. My husband ate his entire pizza but two slices were plenty for me. We also go an order of fried ravioli. The ravioli was nice and gooey on the inside and the marinara it came with was so good! I dipped my pizza in it. I would definitely order the ravioli again. The service staff seemed to be struggling when we came in to get our order. Customers before me were complaining about their orders being wrong. The person who gave me my food, double checked before she handed it to me. I also observed no employees wearing masks, while customers were wearing masks. There was also a sign on the door allowing only one person for to go orders be in the restaurant at a time. There were groups of people sitting at tables eating, so the restaurant was quite crowded for this time during COVID-19. read more
