Excellent food and service, as always! I'm retired and I like to try new places, but when I'm in the area and hungry for breakfast, this is my go-to spot. Today I had the West Coast Bennie. I substituted their queso for the ranch that it's normally topped with, as Ranch just doesn't belong on a dish containing eggs! The queso was a good choice, but unfortunately the eggs were cooked way too long and the yolks were solid, rather than runny. I asked to have the dish remade, and they got it perfect! The cook even threw in a side of hash browns, which were excellent. (Hint: dribble some of their queso on the hash browns!) I ordered a single pancake on the side and it was huge! Their pancakes are excellent. Clarissa was my server and she did a fantastic job! She had no problem taking my order back to be redone, and she did a great job of checking up on me and keeping my coffee cup filled. The dining room and the restroom were both clean and inviting, and they had both the music and the air conditioning set at just the right levels. The food was very delicious. The biscuits are very light and fluffy. Perfect with sausage gravy or hot honey sauce. A side of grits is just enough to satisfy the craving. We've now dined here multiple times for brunch and have repeatedly had excellent service & delicious food. We most recently went on Mother's Day and had our youngest grandchild with us who was sleeping in her car seat. We were immediately seated in a booth that accommodated the car seat by a gentleman at the hostess station. He was very kind & friendly. Our server was very attentive and we received our drinks & meals quickly. Everything was hot, delicious & very filling. She checked on us multiple times without being intrusive. What I love most about this restaurant is that it is very consistent. I appreciate that greatly especially when bringing friends or recommending it. Large donuts so we only ate 1.5 donuts and took the rest to-go. Not cheap, but the portions are large. Benedicts came with fruit and choice of hashbrown casserole (preferred) or grits (they tasted bland and watery). First time at this location because it was a tad closer than the first colony (sugar land) location, and I wanted to avoid the traffic/parking garage. However, the service was sooo slow. The hostess took awhile to seat us. I didn't see a single employee in sight for a good few minutes. I saw 2 girls mainly (bartender and 1 waitress), but our waitress was so hard to find. Stopped in here for breakfast before driving back to San Antonio this morning. It's conveniently located not too far off of Hwy 59. We were seated quickly, however it took quite a while for us to be served. But as soon as my boyfriend brought this to an employee's attention he apologized and made sure to wait on us. Came here for brunch with my friends! Southwest Breakfast Bowl - 4.5/5 Basically breakfast chipotle! The jalapeños made the dish super flavorful and the poached eggs were very well cooked! They had a nice serving of avocado which completed the dish and made all of the flavors come together Shrimp & Grits - 2/5 Not very good grits... It was very lacking in flavor and CHEESE. Cheese is the key ingredient to making a good shrimp and grits and you could barely taste any. Also the grits were not soft and had a weird texture. I would pass on this dish. read more

Overpriced, overpromised, underdelivered. Took my grandparents and parents here to eat. My grandfather's food did not come out until we gave them the order (again) 40 minutes after the food came. Food came in individual orders so we all sat and waited for the food to come out in its entirety. Once the food came, my father ordered a steak and eggs with medium steak. The steak came out over well done. Personally I come to eat for the service so the food is given a pass but... I brought him out and his steak was pretty overcooked tbh. They recooked it and it came back incredibly rare. It nearly moo'd. It got sent back again (by him, I would've just ordered cereal at that point and another mimosa). Cherry on top, server took the check and 30 dollar tip before we were even near finished. If you're critical of your food and service, don't come here. Pleasantly surprised by this cafe. I drove by and decided to stop by and try it out. The plates are well served, large portions for sure. Everything tasted good. It was a busy weekend day, but still got fast service. You food wasn't delayed at all, and the server was very attentive letting us know the status of the order. Only thing is the cleanliness, the floor is extremely sticky. You can wear you shoes sticking to the floor as you walk in. Our table top was wiped clean but underneath the table there was silverware and chunks of food on the ground. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was peak time for them at the time, but it still made an impact on the overall perception of the place. read more

The food was okay. They had ran out of orange juice and the milk tasted bad. The service was very slow and they weren't even busy.

I had the privilege of working at this establishment, and I would like to point out a few things. First of all, the manager (Kamil) is amazing and so sweet! He's the best manager ever and the reason why I chose to stay at this establishment for the length of Time I did. The kitchen staff is also amazing!! Wendy and Jacqueline are great cooks, always positive, and have such big hearts! Now onto the food, I recommend the southwest bowl, shrimp and grits, chick and waffles (limited time only) and the granola apple French toast!!! Those were my favorites. Definitely worth a try! The environment is very lovely, could be a bit more welcoming. Overall not a bad place, definitely has a list of pros and cons. Would recommend for the food aspect. read more

The menu is pretty simple so we knew what we wanted to order. The wait time for food was really long, it wasn't very busy, no long wait line for a table. Other tables had gotten their food in a decent amount of time. It took about 20 min for our food to come out, and when it did it was cold. My boys split the kids pancake which really they could've split one. Split scrambled eggs. The portions were HUGE. Their eggs were cold, and the pancake a little crunchy, but they were starving so no point in sending it back I ordered the Toasted Yolk, and it was huge. It also came out cold. It was served with some hash brown smash, which could've used some S&P. My husband ordered the turkey club, it was okay. Our waitress ended up disappearing for a bit and we need more drink, so two people brought us a refill. Likely will not return, it was fine for a first try. read more

Today was my third time giving this place a try. The first encounter I thought was simply because I didn't feel well, the food did not taste the greatest. The second try was mediocre; the food had no flavor and the glass and silverware were dirty. It took three attempts to get clean silverware, which at that point I elected for disposable. Today I had a family of 16 come. My water cup Had stained food on the inside and the outside of the glass. The best part was the French toast which was decent. The grits were watered down and no flavor. The hash brown, which is not the typical hash brown I requested for it to be well done and it was still very wet and soggy. Nothing tasted fresh. Everything tasted water down. The entire family was very disappointed And overall felt that the experience was not the greatest. Not to mention the server gave us the wrong check...as we walked out She ran behind us and told us that she gave us the wrong check.
