I asked for their all meat burrito and they only gave me one type while making it. Before they wrapped it, I tried to clarify that I wanted the all-meat, not just one type. They told me it would be extra and I thought that meant that the all-meat is more expensive than a single type. So that's fair. But no they gave me one extra scoop of STILL the same meat, then charged me double so I ended up getting charged almost $30 for a single burrito. read more

Not your traditional Mexican flavor, but also not a bad place to grab lunch if you're looking for something filling. The burrito was stuffed generously and the guac was a nice touch. My choice of meat for the burrito was al pastor and reason for the 3 stars is because it could have been a little more flavorful and less dry. ok so first off when i come to la i am a king taco fan thru and thru. my best friend showed me this place and im very picky and skeptical when trying new mexican food. i had two carne asada tacos onion cilantro and red d sauce also cheese when i got the tacos the was so much cheese i could not see the taco wich i loved because they are not afraid to actually fill you up here first few bites the meat and tortillas were piping hot along with the spicy red salsa the cheese was also very tasty and cold so it balanced out the taco beautifully i give this place a 6 star out of 5 please come here next time you in my girls hood my new favorite place la puente read more

They are open for takeout, "dine-in" (outdoor patio seating), and have implemented a drive-thru. The drive-thru is awesome and much faster than the standard line. I've been enjoying Boca for over 20+ years (since my HS days when we would sell their burritos as a lunch fundraiser). I'm extremely happy they are still around. Probably come here 2-3 times a month right now. The lengua is still my favorite although sometimes I wish they would remove the taste bud layer from the lengua before chopping it up. Beware of the red sauce... it's REALLY spicy even for someone that likes spice. I mix the red and green so I get enough sauce and I get the kick of spice. read more

This place has been around for awhile and recently got renovated. The new paint looks great and it's given it a more modern look. I got the tacos regular (they come with cheese, onion and cabbage with your choice of meat). I got al pastor, it was very delicious and had the taste of pineapple that gives it that sweet and tangy flavor. The nachos came with nacho cheese, guacamole, sour cream, onion, cabbage, and your choice of meat. They were loaded with toppings enough for every bite. Very yummy. The red salsa is VERY spicy and savory. It's my absolute favorite (has a great kick)! I love the food here and I've been coming here for years and I would have given a five because service is really good as well. But this time I had a lager than normal order and they DID NOT mark the burritos! Do you know how difficult it is to distribute 8 burritos and 3 orders of tacos when they are not marked! I had to go thru every burrito and even then I couldn't tell what was what...it would be nice for them to mark the food and make it easier for the customer. Every time I pass by Boca Del Rio, I always see a line out front. As soon as I got out of the car, I could tell that I was going to enjoy this place. The smell of carne asada just spread through the whole parking lot and I was even hungrier than I was before. I ordered the Nachos ($6.25), which comes with carne asada, cabbage, beans, cheese (white or yellow, I got white), guacamole, and probably some other things that I can't remember. Everything is fresh and they make sure that everything they put in there is to your liking, and you can choose to add or omit some items as you please. You also get some salsa with it. The green salsa is good, but the red salsa is really for those of you who are really into spicy foods, because my god that red salsa is spicy! A few drops of it onto the nachos and it was good enough for me. You get a lot for what you pay for, because the container was packed when we got our nachos. They definitely don't skimp on anything there! We could split the whole thing between the two of us and it put us on a good level. The carne asada was pretty good, but not the best that I've had. It's still a good choice for some late night mexican food though. I saw what other people have gotten here and it was actually pretty hard to choose what to get because everything just looked so good. I don't regret getting the nachos though, because those were pretty filling. I'd definitely want to come back to try some of the other things on their menu! read more

I needed to know what was the hype! Start off one of the best tacos around town in LP. Asada tacos are decent size, for me pretty big. They stuff them with cheese, onion and cilantro of course to your choice guacamole and their hot sauce is spicy perfect flavor in combination with the tacos. Order came out pretty fast. They are generous with meat portions and even more generous with cheese. My favorites include the carne asada burrito with cheese and East onions and al pastor tacos with cheese and easy onion. I like the flavor (from the meat) to tortilla ratio of these...the al pastor in the burrito is a bit overwhelming from a flavor profile. The gf loves the lengua. It's been tenderized and is more beefy flavored with the texture you'd expect from cubes of beef tongue. The especial version of the food includes a generous amount of sour cream and guacamole. In this "no open gym" covid world, my orders here will need to be normal rather special Note: the red sauce is HOT, HOT, HOT...too much and you'll pay for it twice!
