Probably the best... best! Brunch we've been to! Don't get us wrong, there's places with better ambiance, better service, maybe even better prices. This place didn't disappoint with the food and the bottomless. Most places have unlimited mimosas and sustainable food to help you get through it. (Typically you're drinking Andrè and eating overpriced Avocado toast). This place has amazing food and amazing bubbly. Grits! Yes grits 5stars! We had it with the steak and the Wahoo! Probably one of the best grits ever. The Wahoo came with broccoli rabe and honestly it was one of the best greens I've ever eaten. If I had a knock on my meal, it was on the skirt steak. The steak and eggs are butchers choice and I didn't expect skirt steak but that was fine, but the steak that typically pairs well with a sauce definitely needed one or more salt. Surely recommend! Great concept My first impression when we walked in was it was loud, very loud. The restaurant was busy, fortunately we had made reservations and were shown to our table on the 2nd floor. There seemed to be the vibrant energy of a popular new place. I had checked out the menu online and while they didn't list a large number of items, each seemed well thought out and unique. The concept of Boca is Farm to Table, where items are locally sourced wherever possible. I decided to try their Smoked Meatloaf, meatloaf a dish usually associated with diners. I started with their Peach Gazpacho. I have mixed views of my meal, different and interesting. The Gazpacho, a cold soup, wasn't as cold as I would have liked, but it had a great flavor. It also had a kick with sweet jalapenos when you encountered the seeds. The Meatloaf was also different, with a smooth texture that I initially didn't like much, but it started to win me over the more I ate. It was like the meat was almost a paste, shaped into a meatloaf form. I think this allowed the sauce to be mixed in, making every bite taste very good. Service was very friendly and welcoming. The speed of the meal was a bit on the slow side, which was ok with us this visit. Living in a country of large portions, I thought the serving sizes were on the small size. Had the apple and Brie flatbread - crust was perfectly crisp and nice combination although the apples were a bit bitter. Favorite thing though was the Basil lemonade - very tasty and refreshing. Modern, trendy decor with decent food. Just don't sit at the large rectangular, poorly designed booth behind the bar, which has a set of rail seating on either side. If filled, patrons at the rail seating will be peering down on your table while you eat. The Empire flatbread was unique and quite tasty - like a Reuben in flatbread form. It had tons of pastrami and was quite filling. The zucchini fries were lightly battered and delish, if a little floppy. But for $8, I expected a larger portion. Stay away from the steak tartare, which was brownish and on the edge of being barely fresh enough to serve as tartare. The old fashioned was disappointing - probably because they use Jack Daniels instead of something better. And instead of orange rind, they use a lemon rind. Four of us stopped in to Boca for dinner in February and had a very enjoyable meal. Good service, everyone working there was friendly. Our server was great, she was patient with us, as there were a few questions asked about the menu. We ordered the skirt steak, the shrimp and grits and the bronzed sea scallops. The shrimp and grits were good. The meal was split between two people and the portions were excellent for splitting. Both people said the enjoyed the meal. The scallops were good, served on butternut squash with chorizo and clams. The skirt steak was excellent. Cooked very well to the medium rare I ordered. The roasted red potatoes and veggies were very tasty. Probably the best skirt steak I have had at a restaurant (not that you find it that often on menus). I would order again. We all had one drink, nothing special. I did order the staff drink (rotating choice of the bartender) and was disappointed in their signature drink. It was a creamed whiskey drink that was very weak for the price. Overall we were very impressed with Boca and glad we visited for dinner. Staff was very cognizant of Covid protocols, but the restaurant is on the smaller side and you are pretty close to other patrons. read more

What a crap hole. Been here a few times before but hated it then. Stuck going for happy hour since Hyde parks bar was packed Went in and quickly sat. They put us at a table in thr corner where I had to watch the wall. First menu was dirty, stained and ripped. Walls around table had dust build up all over the mouldings and food and stains from years of build up. The waitress came over. She was very nice and did a great job so nothing against her. Asked about the happy hour menu. Told well drinks are single mix drinks like gin or tonic, vodka and soda. So we asked for one of each. Ordered a few happy hour apps. So drinks were ok. Found they use cheap vodka reyka I think was said. Food was not ok. Not sure where the chef comes from but all I could think was this is the guy with the dirty apron and cigarette in his mouth from the movies. Don't but we had enough. Asked for the check and that was it. Got the check and noticed the $5.00 well drinks were $6.25 asked about it and was told it was due to the tonic which we were told was part of the happy hour. It was fine. Paid and tipped 20% and off we went. Will not return again. read more

I give this place 4 stars for the mission of using local food, its diverse menu, and ambiance. This is a great place to take out of towners. The front of the restaurant is all glass doors that are opened up when weather permits. They also have outdoor seating! (high recommend!) It's well lit with several types of light fixtures. The bar is in the center and you can watch the bartenders whip up a craft cocktail for you. At the center of each table is a fresh plant that hints to their farm to table concept. Music plays in the background to make it a fun atmosphere. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is that all the dishes are pretty conservative in regards to flavor and seasoning (which is great for mass crowds). Don't get me wrong, the food is good, just doesn't quite hit "knock-your-socks-off". The true testament is that I keep coming back and trying new dishes! read more

We're from out of town and stopped here for lunch. This spot does not disappoint. I had the most incredibly delicious Cesar salad and mussels. My dad has the grape and goat cheese salad with chicken. Alternative Spot: Patrick's 1481 For those wishing for more detail: I've eaten at their prior location in Tampa, so I know the menu & food - ehh. If you want a quick bite somewhere in Sarasota I would like to suggest this place, but last time I visited with a party of 3, we were seated and forgotten. That's unfortunately a very accurate depiction of what happened. We received menus and then sat there for around 20 minutes and the service never arrived. We weren't upset or anything, we understand there are miscommunications amongst staff, we just ended up leaving as there are much better places in Sarasota. The ambience is nice, but the menu is blah, and obviously the staffing could use some work based on my experience. If you want a very solid alternative, with more reasonable prices, a tasty menu and a spot amongst the locals - Patrick's 1481 is a few steps away & I've been there many times (never a bad meal or service) read more

The Lobster Rangoons are absolutely incredible. We got the Tuna crisps and the truffle fries as well for our appetizers - all of them were good. The Short Rib Tacos were also good, nothing incredible though. The Street Corn that comes with it was amazing, great flavor. Our server and the employees were very nice and attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine and got a lot of food but she was very quick with everything and had a great attitude. This place gets busy, so make a reservation especially on the weekend. Great food and amazing service! One of the best atmospheres in town. Every aspect of Boca is very enjoyable. The food is fresh and consistently delicious. Drinks are never weak and the prices are reasonable. The vibe is fun. Lots of local residents. Age range is all over the map because it's a fun place to spend time. There is enough ambient volume from other guests and house music to fill the room in a pleasant way. It's not loud and you don't have to yell and it's not a library either. One can have spirited conversations with friends or colleagues after work without disturbing other guests. That particular vibe can be hard to find and Boca nails it! Ok....so....last year we came here and we fell in love with it, the vibe, the atmosphere, everything. This time....the "vibe" was totally off. Probably because when we arrived we were seated outside....at a dirty table....and on a chair with fresh bird .
