Came for brunch on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. Overall consensus from group was that it may be a spot for drinks, but not for food. Pros: decor, music, cocktails (according to friends), and chips and salsa Cons: limited gluten free options at brunch, severely overpriced for portion size ($19 for guacamole and chicharrones -- you get 7 of them for that price and they charge $3 for extra), the waitstaff had limited knowledge of menu and what an item actually was (for example I was told a dessert was a cheesecake, then a cake, then a bread pudding (mind you the menu mentions none of these items in the description)), and there are only two tables but the service was quite slow.
Came on a Saturday night, we had a reservation and were seated on time. Service was slow even though the restaurant was empty. The entire table ordered tacos and we waited an hour for them. One of the tacos had a long hair in it. For the price of the food and service, would not recommend.
Amazing service & amazing food! I'm so excited there is a fun restaurant with awesome food and service. The tacos were so flavorful and tender. The drinks were absolutely superb! Perfect for girls day. Wish you guys much success
Bocado saved our night!!!! We had the most phenomenal meals (steak was amazing, sides were impecable, cocktails were AMAZEBALLS) - celebrating our bride to be! The staff (especially Natalie) made our night so special and memorable! I will be back here soon for a special date night with my husband - we live 40+ miles away - but this place is absolutely worth the drive!!!!!
Great place for cocktails! We didn't get to try the food but we got the sandia spritz ($13) and the espuma pasión ($14). The bartender made us an extra free sandia spritz so the service was so nice! The inside has a dim intimate vibe to it. Would be a great place for a date night or small group outing.
This place was tremendous. Beautiful interior and we were seated immediately. Service was very friendly and attentive. I had the three tacos on their happy hour menu...each one was better than the last. Three salsas as well to try. Excellent all around. Don't sleep on this one, Dallas!
Finally got to try this place! They've done a great job at redecorating the space, but it was a bit empty for a Thursday night, which resulted in our waitress being a little too attentive. I really enjoyed the sangria and the food was pretty tasty. The taco capricho were probably my favorite from what we tried. We also got the sea bass tacos which were slightly disappointing. The colbrus was good, the sauce complimented the Brussel sprouts well and was very savory. I liked the other dishes, but what bothered me was that in every dish, the meat portion is little baby chunks, which is hidden in a bunch of fluffy veggies. I would've preferred larger pieces of meat that I didn't have to go fishing for in the dish.
I tried this place for brunch yesterday, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The service was outstanding--staff were constantly checking in, making sure everything was perfect, and even refilling bottles for you without needing to ask! Now, the food--truly top tier! Every dish was packed with flavor, and you can really taste the effort they put into preserving authentic, traditional flavors. To top it all off, there was a lively mariachi band that interacted with guests, adding so much energy and fun to the experience.Easily a 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back!

I'd been meaning to try Bocado after Dahlia closed down. We came in with brunch reservations not realizing it was actually their first day offering brunch! We got lucky with street parking on Hall, but they also have valet. Ambience: there was a big group having a baby shower, so it was a little hectic with kids and families, but not a big deal. Otherwise, it was clean with dark decor. Service: our server Manuela, along with the rest of the staff, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. There did seem to be some miscommunication throughout the meal, like multiple servers checking in if we'd ordered or bringing extra salsa. But I know they were figuring things out, so the mild confusion wasn't a major concern. Drinks: - La coqueta: rum, pineapple, orange, and coconut. Very tasty and sweet, to the point where I couldn't really tell if it had alcohol... but good nonetheless. - Margarita: just from their regular menu. Definitely a solid marg! Food: - Tortita ahogada: loved the flavors of the dish, but it wasn't warm (again, maybe from it being their first day of brunch). FYI portion size is on the smaller side. - Chilaquiles verdes: although tasty, my partner wished it had more salsa and more spice. They ended up bringing a different orange salsa which definitely helped. Value: prices were mid-range - for Mexican breakfast/brunch, it's not the cheapest but also not too expensive. Overall, we still had an enjoyable meal with great service. I would return, but maybe after giving them some more time to nail out all the details and find their groove.
Food is okay, nothing I would ever go back for. Margaritas were good expect it took 25 minutes to get a frozen margarita which is absurd! The service was awful! I had called a month prior to book for a large party that way the restaurant could accommodate but they lack efficiency and service. I asked for water 5 times and I wish I was lying and it wasn't until I asked for the manager that they brought water. Don't waste your money here it's not worth it.
Me and my boyfriend came here for a Valentine's Day dinner. Bocado had a four course pre set dinner menu which was lovely. When we walked in we were both handed a glass of champagne which was a nice touch. This spot has only been open for a month so I was very impressed with how they managed to pull off a holiday meal. The food was all great! I have no complaints there. The restaurants decor was very nice, I wish some of the lights were dimmed a bit more to really create an even more romantic atmosphere but that's me being super critical. I am excited to see how this spot does as they continue to get more experience!
Amazing service and great food/drinks! Definitely recommend for date night. If you're a fan of mezcal get the Apasionada!

Came here on a fluke when trying to go to a bar near by that was closed during my layover in Dallas. Showed up and it was clear I was the only person that couldn't speak fluent Spanish in the bar which is a huge plus as I knew the food and drinks were going to be incredible!! There was a party of 5-6 people dancing the night away on a Monday having a great time in the side room!! The ambiance was impeccable with a large LED TV screen in the side room and I was served almost immediately with food and drinks. The chips and salsa were to die for and I ordered the flank steak tacos - which were great but my only change would have been less cheese on the tortilla. Came here for my wife's brunch party for her birthday. She booked a big table for the outside, but it was way too hot. The ceiling for the patio is what caused the heat to be more intense. I think they need to fix that we moved inside so we weren't part of the party and the patio with the DJ and mariachi, but we were close enough so now for the food I will not get the food again overly priced for mediocre food it was fun, but I don't know if I would go again unless we go just to drink and with the same group we went with! read more
Went here for brunch on Sunday and sat outside in the covered patio area. It was very vibey and we didn't wait for a table! Also, really enjoyed the food! They bring the most delicious salsas to the table. The guac was good. We loved everything we ordered. The divorced eggs were very good with beans that were amazing! Loved the chilaquiles, although the amount of meat was lighter than we hoped. Good service! The Bloody Mary and espresso martini were amazing! We will be back here for brunch. read more

Came here right when they officially opened (~ 1 month) on a Friday evening around 6:30 PM. We live across the street, so we just walked over. The place was empty & we were seated immediately. The staff was on top of it & we were greeted right away. A coat hanger was brought over & our coats hung up by the staff. They also placed our napkins on our laps for us. Our server, Micah, was very informative & gave his recommendations for each of the categories. Despite us being the only ones for a while, we didn't feel like our server hovered. Service still continued to be excellent even after other people arrived - Waters were filler right away, dirty plates were removed right away. Probably one of the best service I've had at a restaurant in a while. Table chips are sliced into thin strips slightly less than an inch wide. Chips are on the slightly thicker side and have a nice crunch. Table salsa consists of three types: habenero, molé, and salsa verde, all of which were flavorful. La Toxica - Nice presentation. Classic margarita with a hint of spice. La Olla - Nice presentation. Very coffee forward with a pleasant lightness from the orange. La Tropical - Nice presentation. Very mango forward. Very tropical. Paraiso En Marte - Nice presentation. Berry forward. Not too sweet. La Reyna - Fun presentation with the pouring of drink over cotton candy. Classic margarita with a twist. My husband is big on margaritas & is particular on them. He enjoyed this one & said it was comparable to his, which is quite a feat. The cotton candy instead of simple syrup adds a caramelized flavor to a classic margarita. The ice cube even has "Bocado" inscribed on it. Colbrus - Sauce was delicious - creamy, not too salty, & pairs nicely with the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts. Both cauliflower and brussel sprouts were cooked nicely - not underdone & not overdone. Hamachi Pink Panther - Sashimi is good quality - very smooth & evident hamachi or tuna flavor. Black Sea Bass - Fish is cooked nicely - tender, flakey, moist, and not overcooked in the slightest. Black rice was mushy in my opinion, but I don't think I've had black rice before. Tacos Capricho - Tacos were handmade corn tortillas - street sized. Served with molé, very smooth refried pinto beans, and sides of finely sliced white onions, finely diced red onions, and finely shredded cilantro. The meat has an evident char & is quite flavorful as well as salty. Cheesequite - Served cold. Very unique flavor - kind of like cheesecake on sweet polenta. I really liked the texture contrast - The light whipped savory cheese pairs very nicely with the dense sweet corn base. The sauce is very interesting - kind of like a charred dulce de leche. This one was good - probably my favorite dish from this place. I'd definitely recommend this one & I'd get this one again. Overall, everything was quite good & I'd say better than average for the cuisine as well as better than average for the area. Everything was slightly on the pricier side, but quality and flavor matched. I'd classify this place as upscale Mexican fusion. Based on this experience, I would recommend & I would come back. read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time with friends for the love island watch party that was being promoted on their IG page. I ordered the NY steak ($38) with fries & a Paloma negra. I was very disappointed on the quality of the food , service & cocktails. The Steak was grey & did not come with fries as listed on the menu, instead the steak was sitting on top of fried French onions also the steak sauce was not good at all. The Paloma negra was very bitter and I choose not to drink it. I did return the steak and ordered 3 tacos arrlon and it was okay. I will not be visiting this restaurant again. The waitress kept apologizing because she took 30 + mins to bring out our cocktails and mentioned she did not expect it to be this busy even though their IG was promoting a watch party. read more

This place is amazing! The customer service was good and they are dog friendly! We went for brunch on a Sunday and ordered the tacos, chilaquiles, and some drinks. Everything was delicious and pretty authentic tasting. They also treated our pets really well! They got water and some snacks. Wasn't overly loud and we had a great experience. There is plenty of light for pictures inside and in the patio area outside. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive & gave a run down of popular menu options. We celebrated a bday so we wanted plenty pics & he had no problem taking them for us. All of his recommendations were great for food & drinks but I wasn't able to capture any pics because we were so hungry & in a rush to make our new event on time. read more

AMAZING!! Exceeded expectations. The chips are flavored beautifully with a salty tajin-like spice. You also receive 3 different salsas, but be sure to ask for the spicy one that's not on the menu! The steak tacos with cheese are delicious. Filet mignon was phenomenal! Great service too :) wonderful atmosphere, we sat outside! read more
This restaurant was recommended by one of my best friends and I am so happy I had the opportunity to check it out. They have complimentary valet which is efficient and convenient. The chips they bring out to you are delicious!! So good! Drinks and food are mouthwatering as well. read more

We attended a Copa America watch party here last night- the full house and the fact that there was still a line that literally went around the building was our first sign of an amazing time- it was well staffed and prepared for the large number of attendees! And what a venue! Amazing host to say the least - from a live band, Colombian dancers to the amazing food! Noe Nunez and his staff ran this event flawlessly- and a win for Argentina was just icing on the cake! read more
