This a review from my last 5 visits, yes we keep going back. They have great specials and some quality food to go along with the great staff. The wings by far have to be some of the best I have had in a long time. After the first fry they toss them in their sauce and put them on a skillet to finish off in the pizza oven to give them that crisp finish. The caprese is a must every time we go, they add some pesto in the plate for a little twist. The food is always great with some weekly specials. This is a restaurant you don't want to miss out on. had lunch here last weekend, place is really about 3.5 star. we sat is the bar area, took a while for the bar tender to make her way to our table to take or order, once she did she was a very pleasant young woman who took good care of us. Walked in for late dinner. Not too busy. After we were seated we waited at least 15 minutes for wait staff to come to our table. No one ever came around. I noticed a table of 6 close to the front of the restaurant were also waiting for someone to come to their table. They were there before us. We have been here before and service and food was good. We ordered 3 pizzas for 6:00 pm pick up on New Year's Eve. We arrived at 5:45 and we were greeted by friendly staff that said they were running behind on to go orders which was no problem for us. I saw one of our pizzas on the rack ready to go, within minutes the other two were ready. I had paid online so check out was a breeze, a quick signature and we were off. The pizzas had decent flavor, however the crust was super soggy, kinda gross really. This hasn't been the case in the past so we will order again but we were a little disappointed this time around. Maybe next time we will ask for it to be cooked more thoroughly. The Italian wasn't only soggy, it was not warm. Maybe it had sat awhile? Although the friendly staff, ease of online ordering and timeliness of our order and the fact that it was NYE made up for the lacking quality of the pizza. Arrived at 8:35 and stood waiting to be seated way to long while at least 5 employees walked past. After a young woman finally came to seat us, we sat at the table and nobody came to take our order. Ever! Many employees walked past us but we were never acknowledged. We finally walk out at 9:05. When we walked out, the same young woman that seated us smiled at us and said "have a great night." Incredibly sarcastic and rude!!! Wow!!! The restaurant was opened until 10pm and I've never been treated so rude. I don't post reviews ever but felt this necessary. What a horrible way to run a food business when so many better options are available just up the block. We eat out a lot but will not support places that treat customers like this. We've always been pleased with the food, service and consistent quality, until yesterday. I was on the road so I decided to call in the order instead of going online. Ring.. ring... ring.. no answer. Eventually a recording came on that was muffled and mentioned something about calling a different number. The recording cut off the last digit. Then ring ring ring and the same recording. Frustrated I drove there and went inside to order. No one acknowledged that I was standing there. 3 or 4 servers walked by, not a word. Got someone's attention and was told to go outside and order. Strike 2. Finally ordered and tried telling the person about the phone issue. She kept interrupting, got louder with every interruption, and blamed it on another customer that was on hold. Whatever, how about an "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience," nope. There were service issues with pick-up, too. Bottom line, the pizza was way overcooked, charred to burnt, and had zero flavor. Will consider this a 1-off and hope next time is not a repeat. read more

I called and ordered a large Greek pizza light cooking, and when I went to pick it up I paid at the window and the girl told me 5 mins. It was about 10 minutes and I went back up to the window which she rudely opened handed me the pizza and slammed the window. This review is for the North Port Location. I will start by saying this was a Sunday afternoon so do what you will with that info when reading my review and basing your visit off of what I am saying. It was Self Seating so naturally my Fiancé and I sat ourselves. We sat in a section close to the bar side. There was a party in the front room and it was a little loud so we opted to sit in an area where only 2 other tables sat. Upon sitting down we waited as 3 different servers passed us but never stopped to give us menus or ask us if we'd been taken care of yet. We probably waited 15 minutes before I was able to actually grab the attention of a server passing by and ask for menus which she quickly sat them down before I could finish my sentence and disappeared. Another 5-6 minutes go by and another server returns to our table to get our drinks but since we already knew what we wanted we ordered everything at once; 2 personal pan Pizzas, the sampler appetizer, cherry coke and a sweet tea. We probably waited another 20 minutes for app and then 35ish minutes for pizzas. To me the appetizers weren't that good but my fiancé loved them ( rice balls, mozzarella sticks, and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls), now the pizza is where it's at! First bite I was in heaven so much bacon an d cheese not super oily so good! Even with all that being said about the service I give this a 4/5 for the simple fact that people you need to try this pizza! Give it a chance you will not be disappointed ! This is a hit or miss eating establishment, can't put my finger on the problem but I suspect that youth and lack of experience and some complacency is a large part of the hit or miss. Our experience is with the pizza menu we have received it with burnt bottom, sliced in a manner not a normal cut but random and incredibly inconsistent and we have received it as one would expect to. Honestly I'm here in the restaurant now. I moved from Ny to North Port and found out about this joint via a neighbor so here is the breakdown. Walked in to a crowded mob. Honestly was gonna leave but my wife said I was being a dick so I waited... what I didn't know was these half of moon things. So besides a wait which was honestly less than 10 minutes when it was crowded, I walk in to this awesome ambiance with vintage signs and funny chalk board writing. The food was epic, now I'm from New York and read the menu so realized this guy must know what he's doing because he gets the deli meats from Arthur Ave in the Bx and Giardiniera from Chicago which is honestly the best damn place to get the stuff! Ok so full ginzo spumoni aside... restaurant is so artisanal and accommodating highly recommended! By the way Kayla was phenomenal best waitress ever ask for her in North Port! Ordered the app sampler with the Mozzarell, rice balls, and interesting egg rolls... Philly cheesesteak- way to go on egg rolls Rice balls are perfect need no sauce Mozzarella and that marinar were epic!!! - BTW that cherry pepper relish.... Puts jersey mikes out of business Vino- ordered the Monte!! Never tried but imagined a nice red similar to merlot.... Best bottle I've had in a while.. gonna get some for the house Penne Alla Vodka! Done to perfection! Love the olive oil and creamyness mixed well! The service was very poor. Our waitress disappeared for over ten minutes. Our food sat on the counter under the warming lamps. I finally was able to flag down another server who brought it to our table The white pizza was good. Not greasy at all. Good flavor and appealing appearance. When we order the wings we were told they only had the dry rub. All other ribs were out. The rub on the wings was very good. Not as hot as the menu chart depicted. This review is for the North Port location. I have not been to the North Port location in over a year. We have always found the Port Charlotte location to be better so we make the drive from North Port to the Port Charlotte location. The restaurant is beginning to look run down and in need of updating and a good cleaning. The restroom was dirty with no hand soap or paper towels. I had to ask the server to fill the soap and the paper towels so I could go back to the restroom and wash my hands. The employee checklist on the door indicates the restrooms had not been serviced in two days. The food is the same as I remember it, fairly good. We had mozzarella sticks, salad and pizza. We requested extra marinara with the mozzarella sticks and never received the extra. We had to stop the server and ask for drink refills. There were two flys that we kept having to bat away from our food. In comparison, the Port Charlotte location is superior hands down. read more

Also never asked to see if we wanted refills.. I talked to the manager and he said she was one of the best servers there and he'd make another pizza . At that point we were there for an hour and already not happy so I didn't want to wait again ..Then as we left he was talking with her so I approached her and said she didn't deserve the 20% we left and explained why, she out right lied and said she came back to us . This is one of our new favorite restaurants in the area. Tonight was a bit of a disappointment. The food was good but the service was not as good as expected. We always sit in the bar area if possible as we did tonight. The bartender was overwhelmed and needed help. I cleared off my own table. Also six tables opposite the bar all emptied out at about the same time and eventually the tables were cleared. But you know what, none of the tables were cleaned and soon people started sitting down at them- still with no cleaning involved. I wish they would take some pride in the place. I believe they need some training. I did speak to the manager before before I left about my concerns. I also called him when I got home because we went to watch some March Madness but Pete did not put the games on as we requested. When we got home one of the games was tied. Disappointed in bocca lupo tonight. We don't plan to stop coming here but hope for better service in the future. read more
