Stopped in for lunch but they were serving brunch until 1:30pm because of it being Sunday so we decided to wait for lunch-here's what we had: Les nostres bravas, hummus amb iuca cruixent,pop roquer amb causa de Lima, croquettes- essentially, potatoes with a red curry type sauce which seems to be a quintessential Spanish dish, hummus is self explanatory but DELICIOUS- served with yucca chips and pita triangles. The others were the octopus with curried mashed potatoes and micro greens on top, and ham croquettes. They have indoor and outdoor seating- we choose indoor because it had air conditioning for us Texas folks. I'd come here just for the hummus and ham croquettes - oh, we also had the bread smeared with tomatoe- meh- until we dipped it in the hummus. The patatas bravas was yummy and went well with the chorizo and Jamon board we got. Also had the tomato toast and a little jamon sandwich. Everything was good. Love this place. As a solo traveller, some places you go it just doesn't feel right, the staff ignore you or you feel like everyone looks at you weird. Not here. They have a shared bar table at the front of the restaurant, but if you're wanting to snag a spot there, get there early. I mean Spain early, so about 8. I had the same waiter twice and he was a gem. Though everyone who served me spoke excellent English, this guy switched from English to French and back to Spanish with no problems. So friendly and have excellent recommendations, the aubergine with honey was great, as was the duck confit which has an orange sauce as well as a bonus cranberry or plum sauce. The risotto was amazing. Basically if you're in the area I highly recommend this place. Great food, a quirky yet unpretentious menu and wonderful service. I'm a little bit in love. read more

Granados is a really nice little tapas-place that changes their wine menue so often that they write it on the wall instead of printing it out. There is free Wifi and we are here to drink a few cappuccinos, cavas and eat a little. The food is ok, but I wouldn't go here only for that. However, the place is cozy and modern, so it's very nice to sit here a little while. Don't forget to visit the bathroom with its moustache-art when you're here. read more

I really wanted to like this place, because I am open to a new experience and being in Barcelona, heck yes. The waiter was very rude and stand offish. I asked for suggestions and he was not in the mood. I know he was busy but as a previous bartender myself, at a place that was 20 times this busy, if you don't have customer service skills, get out of the business. For the good of the owner of this establishment, the clients, and for your own sanity. When I was down with my small sides, I had to hunt him down to ask for more and than he looked at me like I just stole his last taco. The whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. As a business owner, I would not accept this type of behavior from my employees. It takes a lot to bring in clients and just to push them out like that, not acceptable. read more

Delicious tapas and wines are served here at this lovely restaurant on my favorite street, Enric Granados. My date was French, and well, he was in total luck because most of the staff speaks French there (along with English - and of course Spanish and Catalan). I don't remember what the dish was called - but the Octopus (Pulpo) served on potato slices was incredibly delectable: cooked to tender perfection, salted perfectly and it was just all out excellent. That was the only dish I remember, though we did have about 3 or for plates to share. Prices were correct. Service was friendly. Definitely a great choice when strolling around the area and looking for a place to eat. read more

Walked by this place so we decided to try it out. We both tried the monkfish and artichoke with rice. It was good but not much fish in it and a few pieces of artichoke. All in all it was a good dinner. HOWEVER. Here is what's crazy. Someone came and place a piece of paper on my outside dining table and started to point at the writing on the paper. I don't speak Spanish very well and shooed him away as I am assuming he is asking for money or something. As the beggar left, the waiter later came by and ask if my phone was ok. We both immediately realized the beggar place the piece of paper over my phone and took it with him as he left. Both the waiter and I ran after him. Instead of the beggar dropped the phone and ran, he put it gently put it down on the sidewalk and continue running. Here is the kicker though as I think I just got scammed twice. Once I got my bill, I paid and left him the normal tip. But I separately also gave him 20euro to thank him for chasing the thief/scammer down for my phone so that he knows it was for the good deed. The waiter didn't refused or flinched with the 20euro tip and thanked me. Hmmm.....did I just got scammed twice? read more

Great place for a nice lunch with friends. We all loved the food and the presentation. The service was great, too. We had a very comfortable and large round table which was perfect for a small group of family or friends. Loved the beef with caramelized onions. Only negative: white cheese dessert. It was very overpriced for a scoop of Philadelphia cream cheese with a drop of syrup on top. Tiramisu was better, but small. read more

I stumbled upon this place, after I had already had dinner. But, something about the place was inviting, even for a solo traveler (hard to find a good tapas place if your solo in Spain. Trust me). I had some wine and a few plates, and it made me regret my dinner choices. Very tasty, not deep fried. Seemed to be a decent amount of locals, plus tourists. By far our best meals in Barcelona. We stopped in late one night for drinks and dessert, then liked it so much we went back for tapas. We were the only English-speaking tourists in the place, though the staff does speak English. (They good-naturedly encouraged us to practice our Spanish when we ordered.) Everything we ordered was excellent, including the artichoke chips and eggplant chips. But the best was the patatas bravas -- we tried them at a few restaurants, but Granados had the best ones. For dessert, get try the delicious truffles. read more

Stumbled into this place looking for a snack and it was really good!!! Nice people, bright and sunny! We got the mini hamburgers which were amazing. Cooked perfectly and had some yummy caramelized onions on it. Everything else we saw at other tables looked pretty impressive too. We were very happy to find this place! read more

If you want great tapas, I highly recommend this place. We had two gin fizzes each, along with a delicious selection of cheese and ham. The crunchy shrimp tempura and great cheese with honey fondu really hit the spot! The waitress saw us outside looking at the menu and said the tapas were great. She said let her know if we needed anything after she sat us. The staff was at our beckon call the whole time. The ambiance was perfect for a night of drinks, small bites & great conversation. We happened upon Granados and was extremely pleasantly surprised. The waitress was friendly and courteous and the food was phenomenal. The tuna tatakai was so good that we ordered another to share it. Pretty reasonable prices as well. read more

It smells. I would liken the food to a TGI Friday's or some other bad chain in the U.S. In a town known for its gastronomy, skip this place and just spare yourself. Oh, I forgot the service. The worst we experienced the whole trip. All around, just not worth it. read more

Great for Sunday brunch. We were going to go to "Brunch and Cake " Across the street but the line was soooo long. So we came to this place just by luck. We had creamy cafe con leche and each had a breakfast sandwich, one with scrambled eggs and one with eggs and ham, on this large delicious fluffy light bread. The menu is a not extensive but what I had was done very well, including tapas that seem to have a modern twist and some simple but very tasty entrees (I had a veal and potato dish, my companion grilled dorado).
