I decided to change things up for Easter this year and ordered Stellina Alimentari's 18" Italian…read moresandwich. Since I was picking it up on Saturday and not serving until Sunday, I called and requested that they put some wax paper between the top and bottom of the bread to separate the contents of the sandwich. I thought the bread would get soggy otherwise. They were happy to do it and wrap the sandwich in plastic wrap to keep in the refrigerator overnight. The sandwich was incredible! Everything an Italian sandwich should be! They gave me containers of seasoned olive oil and giardiniera to spread on the bread before serving. We had eight adults and we had more than enough, with a piece left over for my lunch today! I also ordered the cucumber salad with feta, which was a great side dish. I have been a steady client of both Stellina Pronto and Stellina Alimentary and they have never let me down. The staff are wonderful:) I've ordered countless pastries, sandwiches, Thanksgiving dinner... all delicious! We are so lucky to have them in Petaluma!

Mostly a sandwich spot seemingly, but does have deli options with some Italian market specialities…read more I recently popped in for lunch and ordered up two sandwiches - one was the chicken parm and the second was the turkey. Both sandwiches, and almost all of them sounded, decadent. I prefered the chicken parm over the turkey that for me, was too much. The turkey had bacon, sauces, cheese on a potential foccacia style bread.. it was a lot. The chicken parm was plain and simple and tasty. The chicken was medium thickness, breadcrumbed and fried. The roll was great and overall I enjoyed it. About $18 for a sandwich, which seemingly is the going rate these days for a sandwich. Fresh, delicious and a solid option for bougie Italian sandwiches.

I recommend it. I have had their Italian too, which is good. I think I'll hold off the horseradish next time when I got it. Im also a Dutch Crunch kind of guy when I buy a sandwich (the bread you love to choose in your sandwich is a sacred thing to share amongst sandwich lovers). You can customize it whichever way you'd like. Do check it out if you haven't already . And if you have, you know it's one of Petalumas tasty sandwich shops. Gotta keep it in my records of great sandwich shops.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!…read more Lombardi's BBQ is hands down some of the best barbecue I have ever had. Everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The food was so good that I would gladly make the drive from San Francisco to Petaluma just to eat here again. The barbecue was outstanding, but the real surprise was the peach tres leches cake. WOW. It was incredible and an absolute game changer. Moist, flavorful, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and every bite was worth it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're anywhere near Petaluma and love great barbecue, do yourself a favor and stop here. I will definitely be back, and next time I'll probably be thinking about that peach tres leches cake the entire drive there!

The barbecue here is amazing, and it's one of my favorite places to eat. I come here often because…read morethe food is consistently delicious. Unfortunately, today's experience was disappointing. There was one young employee left to handle the register by himself while a line of customers continued to grow. At the same time, there were several completed orders sitting on the counter waiting to be bagged and handed out. My food sat there for about 10 minutes before I finally walked up and asked for it. What made the situation frustrating was that there were multiple other employees standing at the other end of the restaurant talking and laughing while this one employee was clearly overwhelmed, trying to do the work of two people. It wasn't until I asked about my order that another employee came over to help at the register. This isn't a reflection on the young employee he was doing his best under difficult circumstances. My concern is with the lack of teamwork and support from the rest of the staff. The food is still excellent, but I hope management addresses this so employees aren't left struggling alone and customers receive the service they're expecting.

If you get the chance to meet him, you'll understand why people talk about him like he's an icon. And the food... wow. The jerky is absolutely to die for. He even told us to stop back by before we headed home because he was making homemade focaccia. We came back, and he wasn't there, but he had the focaccia waiting for us anyway. That small gesture says everything about the kind of person he is. We left with jerky, his amazing garlic horseradish mustard, and summer sausage, and we already can't wait to come back. Next stop will definitely be his deli. Angelo is the real deal, kind, thoughtful, and unforgettable.

The jerky was truly the highlight. The employee let us try all of the jerky samples (generous portions) we wanted, and talked about what kinds of flavors and textures would be best for our tastes. My favorites were the teriyaki turkey jerky and garlic beef jerky. Both varieties have a sweet, tender chew. No dried out jerky here. Make sure to check out the grab and go refrigerators opposite of the cash register. I made sure to grab a bag of smoked bacon ends/chunks which made an absolutely divine addition to my cherry tomato and Marin French Cheese angel hair pasta a few nights later.
